Please check that the supply voltage of your home electrical system corresponds to the voltage on the appliance's rating plate. This appliance must be connected to an earthed socket.

The appliance is not intended to be operated using an external timer or separate remote control system.

This appliance was designed for household, indoor use only.

This appliance is intended for households and similar uses, such as:

- Staff kitchen areas in stores, workshops and other working environments;

- Cottages;

- Guests of hotels, motels and other residential environments

- Hotel room-type environments.

This appliance may be used by children aged 8 and over and persons with physical, sensory or mental disabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have received supervision or instruction concerning the safe use of the appliance and understand the risks involved.

Do not cover the appliance while it is switched on.

Do not disassemble the appliance.

The appliance must only be used for cooking food. Using it for other purposes may cause irreparable damage.

OPERATION

Before first use

Remove all labels, stickers and tags except the product nameplate.

Clean the appliance as described in the Cleaning and Maintenance section.

Use

CAUTION: Do not use this product to cook or defrost frozen food. All food must be completely defrosted before cooking with this appliance.

NOTE - during the first few minutes of operation (only in the first use), the appliance may release some smoke and odor, which disappears immediately afterwards.

Unwind the power cord completely.

Place the appliance on a flat, horizontal surface so that the power cord is not stretched.

Use the handle lock to lock and/or unlock the plates.

Lightly grease the plates with cooking oil. Close the appliance and plug it in.

Plug the power cord plug into the power outlet. If using an extension cord, make sure it is earthed and rated for 6A. The indicator lights come on, indicating that the appliance is plugged in and heating up. WARNING: Non-stick plates and appliance surfaces may heat up during appliance operation. To avoid the risk of burns, handle the appliance only by the handle.

Let the non-stick plates preheat; the temperature indicator light goes off.

Use the handle to lift the top plate. Place the food on the lower plate using, if necessary, a wooden or heat-resistant plastic utensil.

CAUTION: Do not use metal utensils on the non-stick plates as this can irreparably damage the non-stick coating.

Lower the top plate using the handle.

While using the appliance, the temperature indicator light goes off and on, which is normal, indicating that the appliance maintains the cooking temperature.

Unplug the appliance when no longer in use.

To close the sandwich maker, lower the top plate holding the handle and without forcing, press the handle lock until you hear a click.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Switch off the appliance and remove the plug from the socket.

Let the appliance cool down completely, keeping it open.

Danger - Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. The appliance is not suitable for the dishwasher.

ATTENTION - Never use aggressive or abrasive cleaning products and materials to avoid damaging the non-stick coating of the plates.

Do not use metallic, sharp or abrasive utensils.

First remove excess fat from the plates with a piece of kitchen paper.

Use a wooden or plastic spatula to remove any food particles that are clinging (eg solidified cheese) to the plates.

Clean the plates with a soft, damp cloth or sponge.

Clean the exterior parts of the appliance with a damp cloth and dry them with a soft cloth.

After cleaning, close the appliance using the handle lock.

The appliance can be stored vertically.

In case of malfunction, please take the appliance to an authorized Technical Assistance Service. Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the appliance, as this may be dangerous.

  1. Keep the proof of purchase (receipt) for this product carefully. When a repair is made under these conditions, the technician will require proof of purchase. This assistance can only be provided once you have proven, with the proof of purchase, that your appliance is within the warranty period.
