Unpack the appliance by removing all packaging components. The covers can be secured during transport with adhesive tape which should be removed. Clean the external surfaces of the appliance according to the instructions contained in the “Appliance maintenance” section. Set the appliance according to the instructions.

The lamp is provided with a stand. The stand must be assembled. Slide the bolt into the hole in the base and attach the vertical part of the stand (II) to it. Attach the curved part of the stand to the vertical part of it with the latch (III). Install the lamp on the stand (IV) in a similar way.

Place the lamp in the place of use according to the recommendations.

Turn the lamp on by moving the switch to the ON position. The UV lamp will light up and the fan will start.

The lamp is turned off when the power switch is set to the OFF position. The UV lamp will go out and the fan will stop after a short while.

When the switch is set to the AUTO position, the lamp goes into the automatic operating mode controlled with the light switch on the top of it. The lamp will start automatically at dusk and turn off automatically at sunrise. Be aware, however, that, if the lamp is stopped in that mode, it does not mean that it is turned off. The lamp is turned off when the power switch is set to the OFF position.

Warning! Make sure the appliance is disconnected from the power supply before replacing the UV lamp. The power cord plug is unplugged from the socket.

Unscrew the fan mounting bolt, then separate the two parts of the housing. Note that the parts are still connected with the fan supply wiring and care must be taken not to damage it. The UV lamp is mounted under the lid. Loosen the lamp clamp bolt, turn the clamp, then remove the old lamp and install a new one. Turn the clamp so that it holds the UV lamp. Fasten the lamp clamp bolt, assemble both parts of the lamp housing with bolts and fix the insect container.

Lamp maintenance

Warning! Before maintenance, make sure that the appliance is disconnected from the power supply. The power cord plug is unplugged from the socket.

Rotate the insect container according to the arrow aiming at the open padlock symbol, and then slide it out of the housing.

The container and mesh can be cleaned with a soft brush or a brush with plastic bristles. Be careful not to damage both components during cleaning. Both components can also be cleaned with a stream of lukewarm, running water or by immersing them in water. A small amount of dishwashing liquid can be used for cleaning. In case of wet cleaning, dry the container and funnel thoroughly before reinstalling them in the lamp.

Clean other parts of the lamp with a damp cloth, then dry or leave them to dry. Do not immerse the lamp in water or any other liquid.
