Frequently Asked Questions - AQ-913F-UV 25W Vevor

How to prime the Vevor AQ-913F-UV filter?
After connecting the hoses and filling the aquarium, pull the pump handle up and down 2 to 4 times to prime water into the bucket. Make sure the flow rate is set to maximum.
How to set the UV timer?
Touch the UV button to turn on the lamp. Continue touching to set the timer: 1st speed (24h on), 2nd (8h on/8h off, 16h cycle), 3rd (4h on/4h off, 20h cycle), 4th (off).
What to do if the filter does not start?
Check that the power source is plugged in. If the pump head is damaged, replace it. If the impeller is stuck by foreign objects, remove them. Ensure the impeller is securely fixed.
How to clean the filter?
Open the canister lid and remove the filter material to clean or replace it. For the rotor, rotate the water drum cover, remove the rotor and clean it with a brush. Also clean the quartz tube of the UV lamp.
Why is there a water leak?
Possible causes: damaged water valve faucet, damaged or contaminated O-ring, improperly locked motor head, or improperly connected PVC hose. Replace the seals or faucets, and check the connections.
How to replace the UV lamp?
Unscrew the fixing nut, remove the quartz sleeve, then remove the used UV lamp and replace it with a new one. It is recommended to replace the lamp every 6 months.
Water flow is low, what to do?
Check that the inlet and outlet valves are fully open. Clean the inlet and outlet hoses and PVC tube if dirty. Ensure the filter is not clogged.
The filter is noisy, why?
The impeller may be damaged, stuck by foreign objects, or improperly fixed. Replace the impeller if necessary, remove foreign objects and reinstall it correctly. Also check that the inlet valve is open.
What is the recommended water pressure?
The inlet pressure must be between 0,01 and 0,03 MPa. Too low or too high pressure may affect operation.
Can I use the filter with seawater?
Yes, but periodically remove salt deposits on the product and power cord to prevent electrical leakage.
