Frequently Asked Questions - UML-050 Vevor

How to use the remote control for the Vevor UML-050 fan?
Insert two AAA batteries into the compartment on the back of the remote control. Make sure to respect polarity. The remote control allows you to control power on/off, speed (8 levels), modes (normal wind, strong wind, sleep), timer (1 to 8 hours) and oscillation.
How to replace the fan filter?
First unplug the device. Turn the top part of the fan counterclockwise to the unlock icon, then lift it. Replace the filter with a new one, then reassemble by aligning the arrow with the unlock icon and turn clockwise to the lock icon until it clicks. It is recommended to change the filter every 1 to 3 months.
How to clean the Vevor UML-050 fan?
Always unplug the fan before cleaning. Use a damp cloth with water and mild soap to clean plastic parts. Do not let water or any other liquid enter the motor. Dry all parts completely before plugging back in.
What to do if the fuse blows?
A blown fuse indicates an overload or short circuit. Unplug the product from the outlet. Replace the fuse with one of the same rating (follow the marking on the product). If the new fuse blows again, stop using the appliance and contact an authorized service center.
The fan does not turn on, what to check?
Make sure the plug is properly inserted into a working outlet (230 V). Check that the power switch on the device is on. If the fuse has blown, replace it. Also check the remote control batteries if using it.
What ventilation modes are available?
The fan offers three modes: Normal wind (constant airflow), Strong wind (high speed), and Sleep (reduced speed and quiet). They can be selected via the remote control or the control panel.
How to set the timer?
Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the remote control to set the timer from 1 to 8 hours. The display shows the remaining time. Once the time is up, the fan turns off automatically. Note that if you turn off the device manually, the timer is canceled.
Can the fan oscillate?
Yes, the Vevor UML-050 fan has an oscillation function of 80° ± 5°. Activate it via the 'Swing head' button on the remote control or control panel. Press again to deactivate.
What are the important safety instructions?
Do not use this fan with a solid-state speed control device. Do not run the cord under carpet. Do not use it near a window to avoid moisture. Unplug it before maintenance. Do not let children use it without supervision.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read the guidance for safe operation and instructions carefully.

  1. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this fan with a solid state speed control device.
  2. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify this safety feature.
  3. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been supervised or instructed to use the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  4. Do not leave the fan running unattended.
  5. Unplug or disconnect the appliance from the power supply before servicing.

READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

  1. The instructions about cord and plug are as follows:

(1) This product employs overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload or short-circuit situation. If the fuse blows, unplug the product from the outlet. Replace the fuse as per the user servicing instructions (for product marking for proper fuse rating) and check the product. If the replacement fuse blows, a short-circuit may be present and the product should be discarded or returned to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair. (2) Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. If the cord or plug is damaged, return the product to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair. (3) Do not run the cord under carpeting. Do not cover the cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not place the cord under furniture.

or appliances. Arrange the cord away from traffic areas where it might be tripped over.

  1. The fan should be used under rated voltage.
  2. Connect power only after the fan is fully assembled.
  3. Never insert fingers, pencils, or any other object through the protective cover when the fan is running.
  4. Unplug from the outlet when not in use, when moving the fan from one location to another, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
  5. Make sure the fan is on a stable surface when operating to avoid overturning.
  6. Do not use the fan near a window. Moisture may create an electrical hazard.

Filter Replacement

1) Unplug the Hot+Cool Bladeless Fan from the power outlet. 2) On the bottom of the Bladeless Fan, you will see a lock and unlock icon with an arrow above showing the position it is in. 3) To replace the filter, securely hold the unit and twist it anti-clockwise towards the unlock icon; you will then hear a click. 4) Then simply lift the unit upwards to separate the two pieces. A replacement filter can be purchased from authorized resellers of the Bladeless Fan. 5) Once the filter is replaced, lower the top half of the fan over the filter and back into place (ensure the arrow aligns with the unlock icon as you are positioning it back into place). 6) Twist the top half clockwise towards the lock icon; you will hear another click, which means your unit is now secured. NOTE: It is recommended that you replace the filter every 1-3 months for better performance.
