How to configure the RAID mode on the enclosure?
Use the DIP switch located inside the enclosure to select the desired mode: RAID 0, RAID 1 or JBOD. Refer to the manual for the exact position of the switches.
What to do if the external hard drive is not recognized by the computer?
Check that the power supply is plugged in and the USB cable is properly connected. Ensure the SSD is correctly inserted. If the disk is new, it must be initialized in Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (macOS).
How to initialize a new disk in Windows?
Open Disk Management. The new disk will appear as unallocated. Select MBR for disks smaller than 2 TB, or GPT for those larger than 2 TB. Then create a new volume.
What is the difference between MBR and GPT?
MBR (Master Boot Record) is an older format compatible with BIOS systems, limited to 2 TB. GPT (GUID Partition Table) is newer, supports disks larger than 2 TB, and requires a UEFI system.

Connect the mains power adapter to the female DC port. Connect the enclosure to the computer via USB. Press the reset button (hold) then briefly press the power button. The LEDs light up.
What do the LED indicators on the enclosure mean?

How to clean and maintain the external enclosure?
Unplug the device before any cleaning. Use a dry, soft cloth to remove dust. Avoid moisture and abrasive products.
Where to recycle the DeLOCK 42022 at end of life?
In accordance with the WEEE directive, do not dispose of the device with household waste. Drop it off at a collection point (store, recycling center) or visit the website quefairedemesdechets.fr.
