General features of your appliance

  1. Two freezer compartments are temperature adjustable using the multizone function. Each one can be used as freezer or cooler as required. (Page 13; Item 2.2.17 should always be considered.)
  2. Thanks to patented trizbar design fracture risk occurring due to misuse by users, which is common for opponent manufacturers, has been eliminated.
  3. Our new No-Frost technology ensures that the air circulates separately in the cooler and freezer compartments. This ensures that no odours pass between compartments, and vegetables remain fresh for longer periods.
  4. The energy efficient fan maintains air circulation by running independently even if the compressor does not run. Thus, a uniform and balanced air circulation is created between cooler shelves.
  5. Hidden LEDs and hidden air conduit holes give the cooler an aesthetic appearance.
  6. Through specific air conduit design, the fans distribute the cold air from multiple vents on all shelf levels in the cooler.
  7. By special patented application, display edges and corners form a smooth surface against the door and ensure a perfect aesthetic appearance. Thanks to the touch-operated electronic instrument panel, temperature controls can be accessed easily and an even view is ensured aesthetically.
  8. The appliance contains LEDs which light up gradually, rather than a sudden flash. The LEDs display 100% brightness within a few seconds after the door is opened.
  9. A telescopic rail used in the chiller compartment ensures that the chiller operates easily and quietly.
  10. To avoid the chiller door slamming or being left open, the door includes a self-closing function.
  11. Anti-finger inox doors never leave finger prints, thanks to a special sheet layer coated over the stainless door sheet.

1.6 General information about new NO FROST Technology

TEKA RMF 75920 - General information about new NO FROST Technology - 1

New No-Frost fridges have a different working system than static fridges.

Other fridges may experience ice build up in the freezer compartment due to door openings and humidity in the food. In such fridges regular defrosting is required; the fridge has to be periodically turned off, the frozen food moved to a suitable container and the ice which has formed in the freezer compartment removed.

In No-Frost fridges, dry cold air is pumped evenly into the fridge and freezer compartments using a fan. The cold air cools your food evenly and uniformly, preventing humidity and ice build up.

In the refrigerator compartment, air blown by the fan located at the top of refrigerator compartment is cooled while passing through the gap behind the air duct. At the same time, the air is blown out through the holes in the air duct evenly spreading cool air throughout the refrigerator compartment.

As there is no air passage between the freezer and refrigerator compartments there will be no odor mixing.

As a result of this, your No-Frost fridge gives you ease of use as well as huge volume and a stylish appearance.

Note: Water freezes at 0^ C, but if the food contains salt or sugar it will freeze at colder temperatures.

Do not put food to be frozen or iceboxes in this compartment.

USE OF APPLIANCE

2.4.3 Crisper air setting button

CHAPTER 3. PLACING THE FOOD

3.1 Cooler Compartment

  • Under normal operating conditions, set the temperature of the cooler compartment to +4 / +6 °C.
  • To avoid frosting, humidification and odour, food should be placed in the fridge in closed containers or covered with appropriate material.
  • Hot food and beverages should be cooled to room temperature before being placed in the fridge.
  • Vegetables and fruits can be placed into crisper by packaging with clean and (if possible) spongy plastic bags.
  • Storing fruits and vegetables separately helps stop ethylene sensitive vegetables (green leaves, broccoli, carrot etc.) being affected by ethylene releaser fruits (banana, peach, apricot, fig etc.).
  • Do not put wet vegetables into the refrigerator.
  • Storage time for all food products depends on the initial quality of the food and an uninterrupted refrigeration cycle before refrigerator storage.
  • To avoid cross-contamination do not store meat products and fruits & vegetables together. Water leaking from meat may contaminate other products in the refrigerator. You should package meat products and clean any leakages on the shelves.
  • Do not put food in front of the air flow passage.
  • Storage time for all food products depends on the initial quality of the food and an uninterrupted refrigeration cycle before refrigerator storage.
  • You should consume packaged foods before the expiry date.

Important Note:

  • Cover the liquid and stews when you put them on fridge. If you do not, the humidity inside the fridge will increase, causing the fridge to operate less efficiently. Covering the food and beverages also allow you to protect their taste and flavour.
  • Potatoes, onion and garlic should not be kept in the fridge.

Some suggestions on the placing and storing of your food in the fridge compartment are supplied below.

PLACING THE FOOD

Food MaximumStorage timeWhere to place in the fridge department
Vegetables and fruits 1week Vegetable bin
Meat and fish 2 - 3 DaysWrapped in plastic foil or bags or in a meat container(on the glass shelf)
Fresh cheese 3 - 4 DaysIn special door shelf
Butter and margarine 1week In special door shelf
Bottled products milk and yoghurtUntil the expiry date recommended by the producerIn special door shelf
Eggs 1 month In the eggshelf
Cooked food All shelves

3.2 Deep-Freeze Compartments

  • The freezer compartment is used for freezing fresh food, for storing frozen foods for the period of time indicated on packaging and for making ice cubes.
  • If the freezer door has been left open for a long time or not closed properly, frost may form in the freezer which can prevent efficient air circulation. To resolve this situation, unplug the freezer and wait for it to defrost. Once the freezer has defrosted, clean it before using it again.
  • To increase the storage volume of freezer, you can remove baskets, covers, etc.
  • The freezer volume stated on the label is the volume without baskets, covers, etc.

TEKA RMF 75920 - Deep-Freeze Compartments - 1

IMPORTANT

Do not refreeze food once it has been thawed. It may pose a danger for your health and cause problems such as food poisoning.

  • Do not put hot food in your deep freeze until it has completely cooled. It may cause already frozen food to partially thaw and potentially become putrefied.
  • When you buy frozen food, make sure that it is frozen under appropriate conditions and the packaging is not torn.
  • If there had been humidification in the frozen food package and it has a foul smell, the food may not have been stored correctly and may have gone rotten. Do not purchase this type of foods.
  • The storage life of frozen foods depends on the room temperature, thermostat setting, how often the door is opened, the type of food and the length of time required to transport the product from the shop to your home. Always follow the instructions printed on the packaging and never exceed the maximum storage life indicated.
  • Note: If frozen food is taken out of freezer and put in the bottom compartment of the refrigerator the day before to thaw, it helps to reduce the temperature in the refrigerator, which in turn saves energy. If you put the frozen food in an open area to thaw, energy

PLACING THE FOOD

loss will occur.

Some spices in cooked food (aniseed, basil, dill, vinegar, spice mix, ginger, garlic, onion, mustard, thyme, marjoram, black pepper, bologna sausage etc.) may have a foul taste when stored for a long time. Therefore, frozen food should be lightly spiced or spice should be added after the food is thawed.

The storage time for the food depends on the oil used: margarines, veal fat, olive oil and butter are suitable, while peanut oil and lard are not suitable.

Cooked food in liquid form should be frozen in plastic containers. Other food should be frozen wrapped in plastic foil or in plastic bags.

Some suggestions on the placing and storing of your food in the freezer compartment are supplied pages 20, 21 and 22.

BEFORE CALLING SERVICE

Check Warnings:

If your fridge is not operating:

• Is there a power failure?
- Is the plug connected to the socket correctly?
- Is the fuse of the socket to which the plug is connected or the main fuse blown?
- Is there any failure at the socket? To check this, plug in an appliance that you know is working into the same socket.

If your fridge is operating too loudly

Normal Noises:

Cracking (Ice cracking) Noise:

• During automatic defrosting.
- When the appliance is cooled or warmed (due to expansion of appliance material).

Short cracking: Heard when the thermostat switches the compressor on/off.

Valve sound: Ticking sound is normal when your refrigerator runs. This sound is released by a valve behind your refrigerator.

Vacuuming sound: After your refrigerator's doors are opened and closed, a short sound may be heard due to pressure difference. This is normal.

Normal motor noise: This noise indicates that the compressor is operating normally. The compressor may cause more noise for a short time when it is first activated.

Bubbling noise and splash: This noise is caused by the flow of the refrigerant in the tubes of the system.

Water flow noise: This is the normal sound of water flowing into the evaporation container during the defrosting process. This sound may be heard during the defrosting process.

Air blow noise: Normal fan noise. This noise can be heard in No-Frost fridge during the normal operation of system due to the circulation of air.

If humidity builds up inside the fridge;

  • Are all food packed properly? Are the containers dried before placing them in the fridge?
  • Are the fridge doors opened frequently? Humidity of the room gets in the fridge when the doors are opened. Humidity build up will be faster when you open the doors more frequently, especially if the humidity of the room is high.

If the doors are not opened and closed properly;

  • Do the food packages prevent closing of the door?
  • Are the door compartments, shelves and drawers placed properly?
  • Are door joints broken or torn?
    • Is your fridge on a level surface?

BEFORE CALLING SERVICE

IMPORTANT NOTES:

TEKA RMF 75920 - IMPORTANT NOTES: - 1

- Compressor protection function will be activated after sudden power breakdowns or after unplugging the appliance, because the gas in the cooling system is not stabilized yet. Your fridge will start after 5 minutes, there is nothing to worry about

  • If you will not use your fridge for a long time (e.g. in summer holidays) unplug it. Clean your fridge according to Part 4 and leave the door open to prevent humidity and smell.
  • If the problem persists after you have followed all the instructions above, please consult to the nearest authorized service.
  • The appliance you bought is designed for home type use and can be used only at home and for the stated purposes. It is not suitable for commercial or common use. If the consumer use the appliance in a way that does not comply with these features, we emphasize that the producer and the dealer shall not be responsible for any repair and failure within the guarantee period.
  • The lifetime of your appliance stated and declared by the Department of the Industry is 10 years (the period for retaining parts required for the proper functioning of the appliance).

6.1 Tips For Saving Energy

  1. Install the appliance in a cool, well ventilated room, but not in direct sunlight and not near a heat source (radiator, cooker.. etc). Otherwise use an insulating plate.
  2. Allow warm food and drinks to cool down outside the appliance.
  3. When thawing frozen food, place it in the refrigerator compartment. The low temperature of the frozen food will help to cool the refrigerator compartment when it is thawing. This will help to save energy. If the frozen food is put out, it results in a waste of energy.
  4. Cover drinks or other liquids when placing them in the appliance Otherwise humidity increases in the appliance. Therefore, the working time gets longer. Also covering drinks and other liquids helps to preserve smell and taste.
  5. Try to avoid keeping the doors open for long periods or opening the doors too frequently as warm air will enter the cabinet and cause the compressor to switch on unnecessarily often.
  6. Keep the covers of the different temperature compartments (crisper, chiller ...etc ) closed
  7. Door gasket must be clean and pliable. Replace gaskets if worn.
  8. To save energy, set the night sensor is in active mode and the door handle LEDs are in the OFF position.
