Operating Safety Precautions

  1. Always use unit with Drip Tray in place.
  2. Check the Drip Tray frequently during cooking sessions to prevent overflow.
  3. Cooking Surface will be HOT. Wear oven mitts while using to prevent burns.

Instructions for the Electrical Cord and Plug

  1. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
  2. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled or tripping over a long cord.
  3. If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:

Thank you for purchasing the TACO TUESDAY NON-STICK GRIDDLE WITH WARMING DRAWER! This unit is Perfect For Making Fajitas, Street Tacos, Quesadillas, & Breakfast Burritos! With a die-cast aluminum cooking surface, foods cook evenly and won't stick to the surface, making cleanup simple. It includes a small drip tray to catch fat and grease, and a larger drawer to keep foods warm. The detachable plug has a thermostat affixed that allow you to cook between 200°F to 425°F.

HOW TO OPERATE

Before first use, wipe down all surfaces with a non-abrasive, damp cloth and dry.

  1. Place the unit on a clean, dry and level surface near an electrical outlet. Allow about eight inches of clear space all around the exterior of the unit.
  2. Slide the Drip Tray and Warming Drawer into base of the Griddle.
  3. To help protect the surface of the griddle, use a paper towel to coat the Cooking Surface with a small amount of vegetable oil. This should be done periodically to maintain the non-stick quality.
  4. Plug the Detachable Power Cord with Thermostat into the Griddle first with controls facing up, making sure the Thermostat is turned to OFF.
  5. Plug the Detachable Power Cord with Thermostat into the nearby electrical outlet and turn ON.
  6. Preheat the appliance for a minimum of 3-7 minutes. NOTE: During this time, you may notice a slight odor or smoking. This is normal with most new electrical appliances. Allow the appliance to preheat until smoke and odor no longer exist.
  7. While the appliance is preheating, prepare the food and ingredients to be cooked.
  8. When appliance has preheated, you may begin cooking your foods. Cooking time will vary depending on the food being made. CAUTION: Cooking Surface will be HOT. Wear oven mitts while using to prevent burns.
  9. When done using, make sure the Thermostat is turned OFF to prevent any sparking from the outlet, then unplug the unit from the electrical outlet.
  10. Once the appliance has cooled, remove the Drip Tray and Warming Drawer to empty and clean.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

Please take care of your NON-STICK GRIDDLE WITH WARMING DRAWER by following these simple instructions.

  1. Turn the Thermostat to the OFF position.
  2. Unplug Detachable Cord with Thermostat from the wall outlet.
  3. Disconnect Detachable Cord with Thermostat from the appliance.
  4. Make sure the appliance is cool before removing the Drip Tray and Warming Drawer.
  5. Empty the Drip Tray.
  6. Clean Drip Tray and Warming Drawer in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
  7. Wipe the Non-stick Cooking Surface and base with a damp, non-abrasive cloth and dry.
  8. To prolong the life of the coating on the Non-stick Cooking Surface, never stack objects other than food on the surface and never use a metal spatula or metal tongs to turn or flip foods.
  9. Never put the appliance in a dishwasher.
  10. It is that simple! Remember to lightly coat the Non-stick Cooking Surface with vegetable oil prior to cooking to preserve the non-stick finish.
