Frequently Asked Questions - WiSpeak grip Ecler

How many simultaneous Bluetooth connections are possible with the WiSpeak grip app?
Only one Bluetooth connection at a time is possible between a device running the WiSpeak grip app and the CORE master unit.
Why is no sound coming from the speakers after Bluetooth pairing?
Check that a Bluetooth audio device is paired to the CORE transmitter for audio streaming (not just for control) and that the Bluetooth input is selected on the CORE.
What is the maximum range of the WiSpeak system?
The maximum recommended range between the CORE transmitter and each receiver is 12 meters line of sight. Coverage can reach up to 500 m² depending on location and obstacles.
How to pair receivers with the transmitter?
Briefly press the WiS PAIR button on the CORE using a pointed tool. Powered and available (unpaired) receivers will be detected automatically. The WiS and RX LEDs flash together and then stay solid once pairing is successful.
Can I add additional receivers after initial installation?
Yes, the pairing procedure is cumulative. You can repeat the procedure with the WiSpeak grip app (Discover and Link button) to add up to 24 receivers in total.
How to unpair a receiver from the system?
Press and hold the UNPAIR button on the receiver for 5 seconds, or use the WiSpeak grip app (admin profile) by clicking Unpair from WiS Network.
How to reset the system to factory settings?
It is recommended to contact your authorized installer. Reset procedures are available in the manual, but they may disrupt system operation.
What is the difference between admin and user profiles in the app?
The admin profile (default password 'admin') allows configuring all system settings. The user profile (default password 'user') only allows adjusting the master volume and selecting the audio source within limits set by the admin.
How to clean WiSpeak speakers?
Use a cloth dampened with water and mild liquid detergent, then wipe with a dry cloth. Never use solvents or abrasive materials. Ensure no water enters the units.
What to do if the receiver LED indicators are off?
This means the unit is not powered. Check that the circuit selector is in a position other than OFF, the lighting track is energized, and the ON/OFF switch (if present) is ON. For GLOBE, also check the power cable.

^2 6dB below the sound pressure level than that at the direction of maximum level, Max. angle between 1 kHz and 4 kHz.
^3 Measured on-axis, far field and referenced to 1 meter by inverse square law. Average from 100 Hz to 10 kHz.
^4 Calculated from sensitivity and power handling specifications, exclusive of power compression

WiSpeak features a unique & intelligent digital wireless transmission system: a solid and stable main channel is always used for the system's audio and control links, together with an alternative backup channel available. The system continuously monitors among 24 transmission channels to resolve the best backup channel option. In case the main channel's integrity is affected by third-party RF interferences, an instantaneous and clean (free of audio drops) switch to the backup one is performed.

Exceptionally, when working in environments with very high radio-electric contamination (presence of frequency inhibitors, WiFi networks saturation, etc.) WiSpeak might at times suffer disturbances in its proper functioning, like intermittent audio drops. In such circumstances, and along the system's installation and setup period, it might even be necessary to decrease the distance from the transmitter to each receiver to reach a solid and stable system performance along time.

Reconnection and pairing time also involve stabilization process to guarantee a solid and stable wireless communication. This time varies depending on adverse conditions described.
