How to install the cooking plates?

Insert the grooved plate (grill) on the left and the flat plate on the right. A click confirms they are properly fixed. To remove them, press the unlocking buttons.

What to do if the indicator lights do not light up?

Check that the plug is properly connected and that the fuse has not blown. Also ensure that the plates are correctly mounted.

How to clean the cooking plates?

Remove the plates and wash them in the dishwasher or with hot water and a mild detergent. Dry them thoroughly before putting them back.

Can I use metal utensils on the plate?

No, only use wooden or heat-resistant plastic spatulas to avoid damaging the non-stick coating.

Why does smoke and odor occur during first use?

This is normal. New cooking plates emit a slight smoke and odor during initial heating. This disappears after a few uses.

How to adjust the temperature?

Turn the thermostat to the desired position (1 to 5). The indicator turns blue while heating and returns to white with an audible signal when the temperature is reached.

Can I use the appliance with an extension cord?

No, the appliance should not be used with an extension cord or a power strip. Plug it directly into a wall outlet.

What to do if a problem occurs under warranty?

This appliance has a two year warranty period. During this period the manufacturer is responsible for any failures that are the direct result of construction failure. When these failures occur the appliance will be repaired or replaced if necessary. The warranty will not be valid when the damage to the appliance is caused by wrong use, not following the instructions or repairs executed by a third party. The guarantee is issued with the original till receipt. All parts, which are subject to wear, are excluded from the warranty. If your device breaks down within the 2-year warranty period, you can return the device together with your receipt to the shop where you purchased it.

The guarantee on accessories and components that are liable to wear-and-tear is only 6 months.

The guarantee and responsibility of the supplier and manufacturer lapse automatically in the following cases:

· If the instructions in this manual have not been followed.
· In case of incorrect connection, e.g. electrical voltage that is too high.
· In case of incorrect, rough or abnormal use.
· In case of insufficient or incorrect maintenance.
· In case of repairs or alterations to the device by the consumer or non-authorised third parties.
- If the customer used parts or accessories that are not recommended or provided by the supplier / manufacturer.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be taken, including the following:

• Read all instructions carefully. Keep this manual for future reference.
• Make sure all packaging materials and promotional stickers have been removed before using the appliance for the first time. Make sure children cannot play with the packaging materials.

- All repairs should be carried out by the manufacturer or its aftersales service.

- Any injury or damage caused by failure to comply with these rules are at your own risk. Neither the manufacturer, importer, or the supplier may be held liable.

▲ELECTRICAL WARNINGS

- In order to avoid a hazard this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer or a separate remote control, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.

- The appliance must be disconnected from its power source when not in use, during service and when replacing parts. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance. To disconnect, turn controls to “OFF” or “o” position, then remove the plug from the wall. Never pull the cord or appliance to remove the plug from the socket.

- Before use, check carefully that the electric tension and frequency of the power net at your home match the indications on the rating label of the appliance.

- The appliance must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is installed and grounded in accordance with local installation regulations.

- Do not let the power supply cord hang over the edge of a counter, or touch hot surfaces.

• Keep the power cord away from hot parts and don't cover the appliance.
• Unwrap the cord completely to prevent overheating of the cord. Do not allow the power cord supply to run underneath or around the unit.
• The appliance may not be used with an extension lead or a multiple socket.

Return the appliance to the DOMO Service Department or its service agent for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment. Do not try to repair the appliance yourself.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

• Remove all packaging materials and any promotional stickers.
  · Wipe the baking plates and outside of the appliance clean with a soft cloth.
• When using the appliance for the first time there may be a slight smell and light smoke from the baking plates. This is normal.

INSERT/REMOVE GRIDDLES

Easily insert the griddles into the appliance using the recesses provided. Attach the grooved grill plate on the left and the flat baking plate on the right. You will hear a click when secured. Press the release buttons to remove.

USE

1. Place the appliance on a dry, flat surface and ensure there is adequate ventilation.
2. Turn the thermostat knobs to "OFF". Put the mains plug in the wall socket. The indication lights around the thermostat knobs will turn white.
3. Turn the thermostat to the position required for the food to be cooked. This goes from 1 to a maximum of 5. The appliance will start to heat up. The indication light will turn blue. You can set the different cooking zones individually. Each zone has its own thermostat. The grooved grill cooking zone reaches the highest temperature and is ideal for searing meat.
4. The indication light will change from blue to white when the unit has reached the set position. The appliance will emit a beep when it reaches the set position.
5. Place the food on the appliance.
6. When your mixture has finished grilling, remove the food from the appliance using a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use metal objects as these can damage the non-stick coating.
7. After use, turn the thermostat to the "OFF" position. Remove the mains plug from the wall socket.

NOTES

• Lightly grease the griddles for best results.
• Defrost frozen food before putting it on the appliance.
  · The excess fat or moisture from the food is collected in the drip tray.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• After use, turn the thermostat to the "OFF" position. Remove the mains plug from the wall socket and wait until the appliance has cooled down completely.
• It is recommended that all food residues be removed with a wooden spatula or a heat-resistant plastic utensil while the appliance is still hot. If the residues dry up, they will be harder to remove.
• Remove the griddles from the appliance using the release buttons. The griddles are dishwasher-safe.
• The griddles can also be cleaned with hot water and a mild detergent. Dry the griddles thoroughly before placing them back in the appliance.

- Clean the outside of the appliance using a clean, damp cloth. Dry the appliance thoroughly. Never use aggressive or abrasive cleaning products.

- Never submerge the appliance, the electric cord or the plug into water or another liquid.

- The catch basin for fat and moisture and the windscreen can be removed for easy cleaning. Clean it in hot water using a mild detergent. These parts are dishwasher safe.

The grill plate cannot be fitted onto the appliance.	The grill plate must always be placed on the left side and the flat baking plate on the right when looking at the appliance from the front.
The indication lights do not illuminate. Check that the plug is in the socket and that a fuse in your fuse box has not been tripped.
The indication lights illuminate, but the plates do not heat up.	· Check that the thermostat knobs are not set to “OFF” and select the desired setting if necessary.· Check that the plates are correctly installed and clicked into place.
