How to turn on the THERMO FH2 thermometer?
Press the power button (square icon with a circle). The screen lights up and briefly shows the last measurement, then three dashes appear indicating the device is ready.

Press the curved part of the battery compartment cover to open it. Insert two AAA alkaline batteries following the indicated polarities. Close the cover.
What do the error messages 'HI' and 'LO' mean?
'HI' appears if the measured temperature exceeds 43 °C (body) or 93.2 °C (object). 'LO' appears if it is below 34 °C (body) or 0 °C (object). Check the distance and cleanliness of the sensor.
How to clean the infrared sensor?
Use a cotton swab or a soft cloth moistened with 70% isopropyl alcohol to gently clean the sensor lens. Do not use abrasive paper and do not let liquid enter the thermometer.
At what distance should I place the thermometer from the forehead?
Hold the thermometer at a distance of 3 to 5 cm from the center of the forehead, just above the eyebrows. Press the measurement button and wait for the beep (if enabled).
What do the screen colors mean after a measurement?
Green: normal temperature (34-37.2 °C). Orange: mild fever (37.2-38.2 °C). Red: high fever (38.2-43 °C). A red screen with 'HI' indicates a temperature above 43 °C.
