Thank you for having chosen a EUROLITE Flexilight. If you follow the instructions given in this manual, we are sure that you will enjoy this device for a long period of time.
Unpack your Flexilight.
Before you initially start-up, please make sure that there are no transport damages. Should there be any, do not take the device into operation and immediately consult your dealer.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION!
Be careful with your operations. With a dangerous voltage you can suffer a dangerous electric shock when touching the wires!
This device has left our premises in absolutely perfect condition. In order to maintain this condition and to ensure a safe operation, it is absolutely necessary for the user to follow the safety instructions and warning notes written in this user manual.
Important:
Damages caused by the disregard of this user manual are not subject to warranty. The dealer will not accept liability for any resulting defects or problems.
Always plug in the power unit last.

Keep away from heaters and other heating sources!
If the device has been exposed to drastic temperature fluctuation (e.g. after transportation), do not switch it on immediately. The arising condensation water might damage your device. Leave the device switched off until it has reached room temperature.
This device falls under protection-class III.
The device always has to be operated with an appropriate transformer. (Valid for articles 80702305, 80702301 and 807023049).
Always disconnect from the mains, when the device is not in use or before cleaning it.
Please note that damages caused by manual modifications on the device or unauthorized operation by unqualified persons are not subject to warranty.
Keep away children and amateurs from the device!
There are no serviceable parts inside the device. Maintenance and service operations are only to be carried out by authorized dealers.
OPERATING DETERMINATIONS
This device is a lamp for illuminating mixers, turntables, etc. This product is only allowed to be operated with an alternating voltage of 230 V, 50 Hz with transformer (articles 80702350 - 80702355 with an alternating voltage of 12 V, 50 Hz) and was designed for indoor use only.
Lamps are not designed for permanent operation. Consistent operation breaks will ensure that the device will serve you for a long time without defects.
Never put any liquids close to the device. Should any liquid enter the device nevertheless, disconnect from mains immediately. Please let the device be checked by a qualified service technician before you operate it again. Any damages caused by liquids having entered the device are not subject to warranty!
Do not shake the device. Avoid brute force when operating the device.
When choosing the installation-spot, please make sure that the device is not exposed to extreme heat, moisture or dust. There should not be any cables lying around. You endanger your own and the safety of others!
This device must never be operated or stockpiled in sourroundings where splash water, rain, moisture or fog may harm the device. Moisture or very high humidity can reduce the insulation and lead to mortal electrical shocks. When using smoke machines, make sure that the device is never exposed to the direct smoke jet and is installed in a distance of 0.5 meters between smoke machine and device. The room must only be saturated with an amount of smoke that the visibility will always be more than 10 meters.
The ambient temperature must always be between -5^ C and +45^ C. Keep away from direct insulation (particularly in cars) and heaters.
The relative humidity must not exceed 50 % with an ambient temperature of 45^ C.
This device must only be operated in an altitude between -20 and 2000 m over NN.
Never use the device during thunderstorms. Over voltage could destroy the device. Always disconnect the device during thunderstorms.
The symbol ·s m determines the minimum distance from lighted objects. The minimum distance between light-output and the illuminated surface must be more than 0.2 meters.
The housing must never touch surrounding surfaces or objects.

The maximum ambient temperature T_a=45^ C must never be exceeded.
Operate the device only after having become familiar with its functions. Do not permit operation by persons not qualified for operating the device. Most damages are the result of unprofessional operation!
Never use solvents or aggressive detergents in order to clean the device! Rather use a soft and damp cloth.
Please use the original packaging if the device is to be transported.
Please consider that unauthorized modifications on the device are forbidden due to safety reasons!
If this device will be operated in any way different to the one described in this manual, the product may suffer damages and the guarantee becomes void. Furthermore, any other operation may lead to dangers like short-circuit, burns, electric shock, etc.
OPERATION
Article 80702305:
Install the device at the desired installation spot using the clamp. Connect the connection cable of the power-unit with the AC IN-socket. Plug the power unit into your outlet. Via the rotary control, you can turn the lamp on and adjust the dimmer intensity.
Article 80702301:
Install the device on a plane surface and fix it with the double-sided tape. If you wish to screw the device, remove the plastic foot and fix the device via the two screws at the desired installation spot. Connect the connection cable of the power-unit with the AC IN-socket. Plug the power unit into your outlet. Via the rotary control, you can turn the lamp on and adjust the dimmer intensity.
Articles 807023049, 80702350, 80702351, 80702353, 80702355:
Connect the lamp with the DC IN-socket of the device.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
DANGER TO LIFE!
Disconnect from mains before starting maintenance operation!
We recommend a frequent cleaning of the device. Please use a soft lint-free and moistened cloth. Never use alcohol or solvents!
There are no serviceable parts inside the device except for the lamp. Maintenance and service operations are only to be carried out by authorized dealers.
Should you need any spare parts, please use genuine parts.
Should you have further questions, please contact your dealer.
Replacing the lamp
DANGER TO LIFE!
Only install the lamp with the device switched off!
Unplug from mains before!
CAUTION!
The lamp has to be replaced when it is damaged or deformed due to the heat!
Before replacing the lamp, unplug mains lead and let the lamp cool down (approx. 5 minutes).
During the installation do not touch the glass-bulbs bare-handed! Please follow the lamp manufacturer's notes!
Do not install lamps with a higher wattage! Lamps with a higher wattage generate temperatures the device was not designed for. Damages caused by non-observance are not subject to warranty.
For the installation, you need one 12V/5W BA 9s bayonet lamp.
Procedure:
Step 1: Remove the lamp cover from the lamp.
Step 2: Remove the defective lamp from the lamp-socket.
Step 3: Insert the new 12V/5W BA 9s bayonet lamp into the lamp-socket.
Step 4: Attach the lamp cover on the lamp.
Do not operate this device with lamp cover removed!
