How to use the casserole for the first time?

Before first use, boil water in the item two to three times, then clean it with a little detergent. Then grease the inside with some cooking oil and repeat this from time to time.

Is the casserole compatible with induction hobs?

Yes, it is compatible with induction hobs. Place it in the center of a hob of equal or smaller size than the base. A humming sound may occur; this is normal.

Can the casserole go in the oven?

Yes, the casserole alone withstands up to 250 °C, but the glass lid only withstands up to 180 °C. Remove the lid if you exceed this temperature.

How to clean the casserole?

Allow the item to cool, then wash it with hot water and a standard detergent. Dishwasher is allowed. For stuck-on residue, soak and use a wooden scraper or sponge. Never use hard objects or abrasive products.

Is the lid watertight?

The lid is glass and may not be perfectly watertight. It has an aroma button to pour liquids finely during cooking.

What to do if the lid nut loosens?

Tighten it with a wrench (not provided). Be careful not to overtighten to avoid damaging the glass.

Can I use the casserole for deep frying?

No, the item is not suitable for deep frying. Be careful with hot oil and fat, and do not move the item when it contains hot liquids.

Intended use

This product is suitable for preparing food on gas, electric, glass ceramic, halogen and induction stoves. The product is for private use only, and is not intended for commercial use.

Safety information

• Never leave children unattended with the packaging materials. There is a risk of suffocation.
• WARNING! Never leave children unattended near hot cookware.
• The product becomes very hot during cooking. Use oven gloves or pot holders for your protection.
  • The product is not suitable for frying foods.
• Exercise caution around hot oil or grease! Do not carry the product through the kitchen if it contains hot oil or grease.
• Do not overheat the product. There is a risk of fire.
• Do not leave the cooking area unattended.
• Do not extinguish flaming grease with water, but instead smother the flames with a blanket or use a fire extinguisher.
• Do not quench the product with cold water.
• Do not heat the product up when it is empty.

• Heat the product on medium heat.
  Overheating the product damages the non-stick coating.

• Do not push or slide the product over a glass ceramic hob.

• Do not scratch or cut the product. Use plastic or wooden utensils.
• Check the product for damage or wear before each use. The product may only be used if it is in perfect condition!
• For optimal energy usage, select the hob according to the size of the product's base, and place the product in the centre of the hob. Only place the product on the hob when its base is dry.

Use

• Boil water two or three times in the product and clean it with some detergent before using it for the first time.
• Grease the inside of the product with some cooking oil. Repeat this process from time to time.
• While cooking you can fill the aroma button on the lid with liquids which are evenly sprinkled over the contents of the dish.
• If the nut on the lid has loosened, tighten it with a spanner (not included in the package contents).

Use on induction hobs

• Do not overheat the product. Thoroughly ventilate the area if the product has overheated.
• A humming sound may be heard when cooking on induction hobs. This sound is technical in nature and is not a sign of a defect in your hob or the product. This does not impact the efficiency of the cooking process.
• Place the product on a hob that is as big as or smaller than the base of the product. Place the product in the centre of the induction hob.
• For optimal results, place the product on a roasting hob only.

Storage, cleaning

• When not in use, always store the product clean and dry at room temperature.
• Let the product cool down before you clean it.
• Clean the product with hot water and a commercially available detergent.
  • The product is dishwasher-safe.
• If residue is difficult to remove, let it soak first and then remove it with a wooden scraper, sponge or brush.
• Never use hard objects, steel wool and/or aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents such as chlorine bleach.
• IMPORTANT! Never clean the product with harsh cleaning agents.

Disposal

Dispose of the article and the packaging materials in accordance with current local regulations. Packaging materials such as foil bags are not suitable to be given to children. Keep the packaging materials out of the reach of children.

Dispose of the products and the packaging in an environmentally friendly manner.

The recycling code is used to identify various materials for recycling. The code consists of the recycling symbol – which is meant to reflect the recycling cycle – and a number which identifies the material.

Notes on the guarantee and service handling

The product was produced with great care and under continuous quality control. DELTA-SPORT HANDELSKONTOR GmbH gives private end customers a three-year guarantee on this product from the date of purchase (guarantee period) in accordance with the following provisions. The guarantee is only valid for material and manufacturing defects. The guarantee does not cover parts subject to normal wear and tear that are thus considered wear parts (e.g. batteries) or fragile parts such as switches, rechargeable batteries, or parts made of glass.

Claims under this guarantee are excluded if the product has been used incorrectly, improperly, or contrary to the intended purpose, or if the provisions in the instructions for use were not observed, unless the end customer proves that a material or manufacturing defect exists that was not caused by one of the aforementioned circumstances.

Claims under the guarantee can only be made within the guarantee period by presenting the original sales receipt. Please therefore keep the original sales receipt. The guarantee period is not extended by any repairs carried out under the guarantee, under statutory guarantees, or as a gesture of goodwill. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.
