Frequently Asked Questions - MXCP2395 Mx Onda

How to install batteries and set date and time?
Open the battery compartment cover on the back, insert 4 AAA (alkaline) batteries respecting polarity. To set date/time, press and hold the '⏻' and 'M' buttons for 3 seconds with the device off. Follow on-screen instructions to select time format, year, month, day, hour, and minutes.
How to select language and adjust voice guidance volume?
With the device off, press and hold the 'M' button. The screen will cycle through languages (L0=off, L1=Spanish, L2=English, L3=Portuguese, L4=Italian, L5=French, L6=German). Release on the desired language. Then, press 'M' again to adjust volume (1 to 6 arrows, 6 being the loudest).
How to take a measurement correctly?
Sit down, place your elbow on a table so the cuff is at heart level. Place the cuff directly on skin, 1-2 cm above the elbow, rubber tube facing inward. Tighten firmly without excess. Press '⏻', select user (U1-U4) if needed. Do not speak or move during measurement.
What do the colors and arrows on the screen mean?
The WHO classification indicator has 4 levels: green (normal), yellow (prehypertension), orange (high normal), red (hypertension). An arrow appears next to indicate the calculated pressure. The heart symbol flashes during pulse detection. An alert symbol appears in case of irregular rhythm.
How to view stored measurements?
Press 'M' to enter memory. The screen shows the user (U1-U4) and total number of measurements. Press 'M' again to see the average of the last 3 overall measurements, then morning (AM) and evening (PM). Each additional press displays measurements one by one.
How to delete all measurements from memory?
In memory mode, press and hold the 'M' button for 3 seconds. The screen shows '0' for all users. Caution: this action permanently erases all data.
What to do in case of error code (ER 0, ER 1, etc.)?
Error codes indicate specific issues: ER 0 = insufficient inflation pressure or interference; ER 1/2 = systolic/diastolic detection failure; ER 3/4 = cuff too tight/loose; ER 5 = pressure >300 mmHg; ER 6 = measurement too long; ER 7/8/9 = internal error. In most cases, repeat measurement after 5 minutes following instructions. If error persists, contact technical support.
How to maintain the monitor and cuff?
Clean the device and cuff with a damp cloth (no alcohol or solvents). Regularly disinfect the inside of the cuff with 75% or 90% alcohol. Store in a dry place, away from sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove batteries if not used for a long time.
Can I use this monitor if I have a pacemaker or arrhythmia?
No, the device is not suitable for people with pacemakers or arrhythmia. Measurements may be inaccurate, and use is contraindicated in case of known cardiac arrhythmia. Consult your doctor for a suitable device.
Why do my values differ between left and right arm?
A difference in blood pressure of up to 40 mmHg between the two arms is possible. It is recommended to always measure on the same arm. The cuff position relative to the heart also affects the reading: it must be at heart level.
