Frequently Asked Questions - MXFC2770 Mx Onda

How to use the chocolate fountain?
Place the fountain on a flat and stable surface. Plug the appliance into a 230 V grounded outlet. Pour pre-melted chocolate into the main base (leave 1 cm from the edge). First turn on the motor (MOTOR position) to raise the chocolate, then the heating base (HEAT position) to keep it warm. Add melted chocolate if the level drops. To turn off, first turn off the heating then the motor.
How much chocolate to use?
The maximum capacity is approximately 1 kg of chocolate. Do not fill the base beyond 1 cm from the edge to avoid overflow. Use special fountain chocolate or couverture chocolate, pre-melted.
Can I melt chocolate directly in the base?
No, the heating base is designed only to keep the chocolate warm and liquid. Do not attempt to melt chocolate pieces in the base, as the temperature is not high enough and could damage the appliance. Melt the chocolate separately (in a bain-marie or microwave) before pouring.
How to clean the fountain?
Unplug the appliance and wait for the chocolate to cool down (or clean while it is still liquid). Remove the spiral and column by pulling them upwards. Wash these parts with soapy water, without using steel wool or abrasives. Clean the main base with a damp soapy cloth, then wipe with a clean cloth. Never immerse the base in water.
What to do if the chocolate does not flow?
Check that the motor is on (MOTOR position). Ensure that the spiral is correctly inserted into the outlet and rotates freely. If the motor is running but the chocolate does not rise, the chocolate may be too thick; add a little oil or cocoa butter to thin it. Also check that the heating base is on to keep the chocolate liquid.
How to assemble the fountain?
Place the column on the base by aligning the three shafts with the holes. Then insert the spiral into the chocolate outlet and gently turn it until it engages the motor shaft. Ensure the assembly is stable and the feet are adjusted for a level surface.
Can I use the fountain for something other than chocolate?
This appliance is designed for chocolate, but can also be used for cheese fondue or sauces if the consistency is suitable. However, the heating base is not intended for cooking food; it only maintains temperature. For raclette or wok, additional accessories would be needed. Consult the manual for recommended uses.
How to adjust the feet for a level surface?
If the fountain is unstable (it wobbles), turn the adjustable feet located under the base to adjust the height on each side. Continue until the fountain is perfectly level on the surface.
What to do in case of breakdown or malfunction?
In case of breakdown, damaged cord or any other defect, do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. Unplug it and contact an authorized MX ONDA service center (phone: +34 902 551 501, email: mxsat@mxonda.es). Do not open the appliance.
Where to find spare parts or accessories?
Spare parts (spiral, column, cups) are available from the MX ONDA after-sales service. Contact them using the details provided in the manual. Only use accessories recommended by the manufacturer to avoid risks.
