SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

CAUTION
Danger of injury! Heat, steam and moisture are generated when using the device. Take care to avoid injuries and make sure that the room is suffi cientsly ventilated. If the device is used over a longer period of time, additional ventilation may be necessary.
General notes
- This appliance is designed for household use and can be installed in a standard kitchen cabinet or enclosure.
- Adjoining furniture, the installation cabinet and all materials used in the installation must be able to withstand a minimum temperature of 85^ during use.
- Certain types of vinyl or laminate kitchen furniture are particularly susceptible to heat damage or discoloration at high temperatures.
- Damage caused by installing the appliance against this temperature limit is at the owner's expense.
- Ensure that no electrical connections or cables come into contact with areas of the appliance that become hot.
- Do not lean or sit on the opened drawer, otherwise the telescopic slides will be damaged.
- Do not use the unit to heat the room in which it is located or to dry clothing.
- Do not install the unit near curtains or soft furniture.
- Do not store plastic or flammable objects inside the unit.
- Do not use the device to cook food or beverages. Do not heat or reheat food unless it is in a serving bowl or platter and does not come into direct contact with the warming drawer.
- Do not insert any objects through the slots in the protective grille that covers the heating element and the fan.
Intended use
This device is used for heating dishes and keeping food warm
- Use of this device for any other purpose or in any other environment without the express consent of the manufacturer will void any liability.
Safety of children
- Ensure that infants and small children do not stay near the device and do not touch the device at any time.
- If it is necessary for younger family members to be in the kitchen, make sure that they are supervised at all times.
- Children over 8 years of age may only use the appliance if they have been thoroughly familiarized with the functions and safety precautions by a responsible supervisor and understand the risks involved.
Notes on installation
- This device must be installed correctly by a suitably qualified person in strict compliance with the manufacturer's instructions.
- Make sure that the device is firmly attached to the cabinet.
- Before connecting the equipment, make sure that the supply voltage indicated on the nameplate matches your mains voltage.
- If the mains plug is no longer accessible after installation, an all-pole disconnecting device in accordance with overvoltage category III must be installed in the building installation with at least 3mm contact spacing upstream.
- To connect the furnace power cable, loosen and remove the cover on the terminal block to gain access to the contacts inside. If you need to replace the power cord of the warming drawer, the grounding conductor (yellow/green) must always be 10 mm longer than the power conductors.
- Make sure that the temperature of the power supply cable does not exceed 50^ .
- If the power cord or plug is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorized specialist company or a similarly qualified person.
Notes on cleaning
- Disconnect the device from the power supply before cleaning.
- The warming drawer should be cleaned regularly.

CAUTION
Danger of short circuit! When using this device and when carrying out the cleaning, the utmost care must be taken. If liquids get into the interior of the device through the ventilation slots, this can lead to a short circuit.

- The operating elements are only visible when the warming drawer is open.
- When the drawer is closed, the operation light on the front of the drawer illuminates to indicate that the appliance is in operation.
- The bottom of the drawer is covered with an anti-slip mat that prevents the dishes from slipping when the drawer is opened and closed.
OPERATION
Before the first operation
Clean the surfaces with a soft, damp cloth.
- To remove any residue from the warming drawer that may have been left over from the manufacturing process, you should turn the adjustment knob to the maximum temperature setting.
- It is perfectly normal for an odor to develop during this process.
- You should make sure that all windows in the room remain open during this process.
It is advisable not to stay in the room during the burning process.
- You should leave the warming drawer on the maximum setting for 2 hours.
Opening the warming drawer
Press the drawer door and the drawer will automatically pop out. Press the drawer door again to close the warming drawer door.

Setting the drawer to keep warm
- Put the dishes in the drawer.
- Select the temperature (see next section).
- Set the warm-up time with the timer (3). The minimum time that can be set is 10 minutes. The maximum time that can be set is 90 minutes.
The operation light (2) lights up to indicate that the appliance is on. - Close the warming drawer.
- When the set time has expired, the circulating air heating stops.
Setting a specific temperature
- Place the dishes you want to heat in the drawer.
- Use the temperature control (1) to set the desired temperature for the dishes you want to heat. Use the temperature control knob to set the temperature between 30^ and 70^ .
- To heat cups or glasses, the temperature should be set to 40^ . This is ideal for gently warming cups before pouring a hot drink so that the contents stay warm longer.
- To warm plates and dishes, the temperature should be set to 60^ . Food served on preheated plates or bowls retain their heat but can still be touched without risk of burning.

CAUTION
Danger of burns! Take care when removing objects from the warming drawer. If necessary, use oven gloves when removing objects from the drawer. Make sure that the appliance is switched off before removing objects from the drawer.
Heating time
The time required to heat dishes depends on several factors:
- The material from which the tableware is made and the thickness of the tableware.
The amount of food loaded into the warming drawer.
The way in which the load was placed.
The temperature setting selected.
It is not possible to specify an exact heating time. You should experiment to find out which heating temperature and time is best for certain types and quantities of dishes. As a general guideline for a temperature setting of 60^ for even heating:
Dishes for a meal with six people will take about 30 minutes.
- Dishes for a meal for twelve people take about 40 minutes.
