How to install the CBG6251XGG hood?

Install the hood at a distance of 650 to 750 mm above the cooktop. Ensure the bottom of the hood is between 650 and 750 mm from the heating elements. For installation, remove the grease filter, unscrew the 4 screws of the fixed panel, connect the exhaust duct to the adapter, place the extractor in the cabinet opening and fix it with the screws. Replace the panel and filter.

How to clean the grease filters?

Remove the metal filter and wash it in a solution of water and neutral liquid detergent. Let it soak, then rinse thoroughly with hot water and dry. You can also wash it in the dishwasher. The color may change after several washes, which is normal.

When and how to replace the carbon filter?

Replace the carbon filter every 3 to 6 months depending on use. It is not washable. To replace it, remove the grease filters, place the new carbon filter in the center of the motor support, then put the grease filters back.

What to do if the hood does not turn on?

First check that the power plug is properly connected. If it still does not turn on, check the light switch (lamp button). Make sure the bulbs are not burnt out. If the problem persists, contact a professional as the damaged power cord must be replaced by the manufacturer or a qualified person.

How to use the hood controls?

The controls are push buttons. Press the lamp button to turn on the lighting. Press button 1 for low speed, 2 for medium speed, 3 for high speed, and 0 to stop the motor.

Are the bulbs replaceable?

Yes, the bulbs are replaceable. However, do not touch the bulb within half an hour after use as it may be hot. The bulb must not be covered with thermal insulation or any other material.

Can I use the hood without a carbon filter?

Yes, if the hood is installed in external exhaust mode, the carbon filter is not necessary. In recirculation mode, it is essential to eliminate odors.

Is the hood compatible with external exhaust?

What to do in case of persistent odors despite the hood?

Check that the carbon filter (in recirculation mode) is not saturated and replace it if necessary. Make sure the grease filter is clean. Also check that the hood is installed at the correct height and that the external exhaust is not obstructed.

Can I wash the carbon filter?

No, the carbon filter is not washable. It must be replaced every 3 to 6 months depending on use. Washing it would damage the activated carbon and reduce its effectiveness.

We recommend that after installation the bottom of the hood should be no less than 650mm and no more than 750mm above the stove's heating elements and burners.

The cooker hood must be installed and connected to flues where other appliances are installed and which run off other energy supplied different to electricity (water heaters boiler cookers (range/agas) etc.). The cooker hood must not be installed above cooker with eye-level grills.

Remove the grease filter, unscrew the 4 screws of the fixed panel and remove it.

Connect the exhaust pipe to the ducting adaptor and locate on the extractor as indicated.

Place the extractor into the cabinet opening and secure it with screws.

Secure the panel on with the 4 previously removed screws and insert the grease filter.

Press the switch of light to be on, the left and right bulbs light on. Otherwise the bulbs don't work. When pressing the push button "1" on, the motor runs at low speed. When pressing the push button "2" on, the motor runs at middle speed. When pressing the push button "3" on, the motor runs at high speed. When pressing the push button "0", the motor stops running.

Information

Do not touch the light bulb within half an hour after appliance use. The lamp shall not be covered with therm insulation other material.

Charcoal filter

In re-circulating mode, air is vented back into the kitchen through the opening in the cooker hood.

This method is advised if you are not using your hob intensively. Re-circulated air requires the use of charcoal filters to remove odours.

To ensure the best performance from your cooker hood, the charcoal filter should be replaced every 3-6 months, dependent on use.

To attach a new charcoal filrer, follow the steps below:

1.Remove the grease filter.
2. Place the charcoal filter on the centre of the motor support.
3. Replace the grease filter.

This charcoal filter is non-washable and must be replaced as required.

• It is recommendable to clean the metallic filter every three months by carrying out the following instructions:

-Remove the metallic filter from the cooker hood and wash it in a solution of water and neutral liquid detergent, leaving to soak

Rinse thoroughly with warm water and leave to dry.

• The metallic filter may also be washed in the dishwasher.

The metallic filter may alter in color after several washes.

This is not cause for customer complaint nor replacement of metallic filter.
