The cooker is compatible with G20 (natural gas), G25, G30 and G31 (butane/propane) gases. Refer to the manual for injector adjustment.
How do I install the WiFi module XKS 3170 W?
First unplug the cooktop. Attach the module under the worktop in a location away from metal masses. Plug the black connector into the dedicated socket on the cooker, then reconnect the appliance. The WiFi connection activates after about 1 minute.
What should I do if the WiFi connection to my Miele hood does not establish?
Try moving the WiFi module to a location with fewer metal obstacles. You can also use a standard WiFi repeater to improve range. If the problem persists, contact Miele customer service.
How do I clean the burners and grates of the cooker?
The grates and burner caps are removable and dishwasher safe. Clean the stainless steel surface with a soft cloth and non-abrasive detergent.
The cooker turns off automatically: is this normal?
Yes, it is a safety function. If the flame goes out accidentally or the maximum cooking time is exceeded, the automatic shut-off activates. Refer to the manual for settings.
Can I use copper or aluminum cookware?
For gas burners, all types of pots are suitable. Ensure the pot diameter matches the burner size for optimal cooking.
How do I adjust the gas supply to change gas type?
Changing gas requires replacing the injectors and adjusting the flow. This operation must be carried out by a Miele authorized professional. Refer to the installation manual.
The cooker emits a gas smell on first ignition: is it dangerous?
On first use, a slight odor from burning manufacturing residues is normal. Ventilate the room. If the smell persists or you smell strong gas, cut off the supply and contact customer service.

This WiFi stick complies with current safety requirements. Inappropriate use can, however, lead to personal injury and damage to property.

Please read these installation instructions before using the WiFi stick. They contain important information on installation and safety of the WiFi stick. This is to protect yourself from injury, and to protect the stick and your appliance from damage.

Keep these installation instructions in a safe place and pass them on to any future owner.

Correct application

The WiFi stick has the sole function of establishing a WiFi connection between a Miele hob and a Miele cooker hood or a WiFi network within a building. WiFi technology, as supported by the WiFi stick, can be intermittently or completely disrupted. For this reason availability of featured functions cannot always be guaranteed. The range of the wireless connection can be increased by using a commercially available WiFi repeater. For more information please consult your Miele dealer or Miele Service.

Technical safety

Damage to the WiFi stick can compromise your safety. Check the WiFi stick for visible signs of damage. Do not install and use a damaged WiFi stick.

Miele can only guarantee the safety of the appliance when genuine original Miele replacement parts are used. Faulty components must only be replaced by Miele spare parts.

Disconnect the hob from the mains electricity supply before installing or removing the WiFi stick (see instructions for disconnection under “Electrical connection” in the Operating and Installation manual for your hob).

Disposal of the packing material

The packaging is designed to protect the appliance from damage during transportation. The packaging materials used are selected from materials which are environmentally friendly for disposal and should be recycled.

Recycling the packaging reduces the use of raw materials in the manufacturing process and also reduces the amount of waste in landfill sites.

Disposing of your old appliance

Electrical and electronic appliances often contain valuable materials. They also contain specific materials, compounds and components, which were essential for their correct function and safety. These could be hazardous to human health and to the environment if disposed of with your domestic waste or if handled incorrectly. Please do not, therefore, dispose of your old appliance with your household waste.

MIELE KM 6565 FR - Disposing of your old appliance - 1
