How to change the dust bag?

Place the vacuum on a flat surface, remove the trapdoor opening button, take out the full bag, close its hygienic seal, and insert a new bag by turning the collar into the slot. Close the trapdoor.

How to clean the pre-motor filter?

Remove the trapdoor and the bag, press the filter tab to remove it. Tap or shake the filter to remove dust. If necessary, wash with warm water (no detergent) and let dry for 24 hours before reassembling.

What accessories are provided with the vacuum?

Depending on the model, you will find: a carpet and hard floor brush (GP), a long/slim crevice tool, an upholstery brush, a mini turbo brush, a super turbo brush, and a parquet brush. Consult the manual for exact accessories.

How to use the flexible mode with accessories?

Turn the carrying handle to the accessories position until it locks. Disconnect the flexible hose from its housing at the back of the main handle. You can then directly connect accessories to the hose.

Why does the vacuum not start?

Check that the appliance is plugged into a working outlet. Make sure the bag trapdoor is properly closed (the mechanism prevents closing without a bag). If the problem persists, contact an authorized Hoover service.

How to store the power cord?

After use, wrap the cord around the two hooks on the appliance (one rotating upper hook, one lower hook) to keep it tidy.

Can I vacuum liquids with this vacuum?

No, this appliance is designed only for dry cleaning. Vacuuming liquids can damage the appliance and presents an electric shock risk.

What to do if suction is weak?

Check if the bag is full (replace it). Check the hose and accessories for blockages. Clean the pre-motor filter. Also check the bag inlet.

How to use the turbo brush?

Attach the turbo brush directly to the hose handle or tube. For the mini turbo brush, open the inspection cover in case of obstruction. Do not use on carpets with long fringes or pile longer than 15 mm.

Where to find spare parts and consumables?

Use only Hoover parts. References are: H68 microfiber bags (ref. 35601148), S101 motor filter (ref. 35601149), and various brushes. Contact your Hoover dealer or after-sales service.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE USE

This appliance should only be used for domestic cleaning, as described in this user guide. Please ensure that this guide is fully understood before operating the appliance.

Do not leave the appliance plugged in. Always switch off and remove the plug from the socket after use, or before cleaning the appliance or any maintenance task.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

If the power cord is damaged stop using the appliance immediately. To avoid a safety hazard, an authorised HOOVER service engineer must replace the power cord.

Keep hands, feet, loose clothing and hair away from rotating brushes.

Use only attachments, consumables or spares recommended or supplied by HOOVER.

Static electricity: Some carpets can cause a small build up of static electricity. Any static discharge is not hazardous to health.

Do not use your appliance out of doors or on any wet surface or for wet pick up.

Do not pick up hard or sharp objects, matches, hot ashes, cigarette ends or other similar items.

Do not spray with or pick up flammable liquids, cleaning fluids, aerosols or their vapours.

Do not run over the power cord when using your appliance or remove the plug by pulling on the power cord.

Do not continue to use your appliance if it appears faulty.

Do not stand on or wrap the cord around arms or legs when using your appliance.

PREPARING YOUR CLEANER

1. Remove the accessories from the main packaging. You will find the following:

9. Assemble the cleaner handle and fix in position with the supplied screw. [1a,1b]
10. Secure the flexi tube to the rear of the cleaner handle. [1b]
11. Secure the nozzle to the product. [10]

For models equipped with Carpet & Floor nozzle*: Secure the nozzle to the product. Press the floor type selector pedal on the nozzle [1d] to select the ideal cleaning mode for the floor type.

Hard Floor - Brushes are lowered to protect the floor.

Carpet - Brushes are raised for the deepest clean.

For models equipped with Parquet nozzle*:

Secure the nozzle to the product in the same way as the carpet and floor nozzle. For parquet floors and other delicate floors.

For models equipped with mini-turbo nozzle*:

Ideal to clean soft furnishings and for the pet hairs removal.

1. The mini-turbo nozzle can be connected directly to the flexi tube handle or the lance. [2a]
2. If any blockages are encountered, please open the inspection cover on the underside. [2b]

For models equipped with Grand Turbo Nozzle*:

Secure the nozzle to the product in the same way as the carpet and floor nozzle. Use the turbo nozzle for deep cleaning on carpets.

Cord storage:

To store the cord after cleaning, wrap the cord around the two cord hooks. [3]

USING YOUR CLEANER

Power switch:

1. To switch the cleaner on, rotate the power control knob. [4]
2. Rotate the knob to the correct power level.*
3. To switch off the product, rotate the same knob.

Using the flexi tube with accessories:

The flexi tube gives you maximum flexibility of usage. It can be used alone or combined with the accessories, as desired. To vacuum with the supplied accessories:

1. Select accessory mode by rotating the carry handle/accessory mode activator to the accessory position until locked in position. [5]
2. Remove the flexi tube from the location in the back of the cleaner handle. [6]
3. To use the extension tube: remove the tube from the door by unclipping from the top. [7] Attach to the flexitube. [8a]
4. To use the dusting brush: remove the tool from the location in the body of the product by pressing the middle of the component [9a] then unclipping from the top. [9b] Attach to the flextube. [8b]
5. To return to floor vacuuming push the floor mode button. [10]

IMPORTANT - When using cleaning tools, the cleaner must be kept in the upright position, and held. It must not be used in the stand alone position without the user holding the product. [11]

CLEANER MAINTENANCE

Replacing the disposable bag

1. Lay the cleaner on a flat surface, pull back the door release button and remove the bag door. [12]
2. Remove the disposable bag, close the flap to lock the contents and dispose. [13]
3. Take a new bag and fit the collar with the location in the main body and rotate until fixed. [14]
4. Locate tabs on door as shown and close door. Attention: This product is fitted with a mechanism that prevents the door closing when there is no bag fitted. NOTE: The bag may need changed frequently when picking up material such as powder or fine dust or when cleaning new carpets.

Cleaning the washable pre-motor filter

1. Lay the cleaner on a flat surface, pull back the door release button and remove the bag door. [12]
2. Remove the old pre motor filter by pressing the finger tab to release. [15]
3. Gently tap the filter against the side of a bin to release excess dust. [16]
4. If deeper cleaning is required: Wash the filter thoroughly under hand warm water until the water runs clean.
5. Remove excess water by shaking and leave to dry for 24 hours. DO NOT USE HOT WATER OR DETERGENTS.
6. Refit bag door as above.

IMPORTANT - For optimum performance, shake off excess dust from the filters regularly. We recommend that the filter is washed every 3 months.

NOTE: Do not use the cleaner without filters assembled.

ACCESSORIES

To obtain the best performance and energy efficiency, it is recommended that the correct nozzles are used for the main cleaning operations. These nozzles are indicated in the diagrams by the letters GP, HF or CA.

A nozzle type GP can be used to clean both carpet and hard floor.

A nozzle type HF is suitable for use only on hard floor.

A nozzle of type CA is suitable for use only on carpet.

The other nozzles are accessories for specialist cleaning tasks and are recommended for occasional use only.

It is important to note that this vacuum cleaner is supplied with an Energy Label as

required by European Regulation (EU) 665/2013.

If the label shows a red prohibition circle on the left covering the carpet symbol, then this indicates that the vacuum cleaner is not suitable for use on carpets.

If the label shows a red prohibition circle on the right covering the hard floor symbol, then this indicates that the vacuum cleaner is not suitable for use on hard floors.

All accessories can be fitted to the end of the handle or the end of the telescopic tube.

Parquet Nozzle* - For parquet floors and other delicate floors.

Mini Turbo Nozzle* - Use the mini turbo nozzle on stairs or for deep cleaning on textile surfaces and other hard to clean areas. Particularly suitable for allergen removal.

IMPORTANT: Do not use the turbo and mini turbo nozzles on rugs with long fringes, animal hides and carpet pile deeper than 15 mm. Do not keep the nozzle stationary while the brush is rotating.

USER CHECKLIST

• Is there a working electricity supply to the product? Check with another electrical product. Is the bag full? Inspect and replace.
• Is the hose blocked? Check by stretching to the full length.
• Is the product inlet blocked? Check by removing the bag and checking the bag inlet. Is the filter blocked? Check by removing and clean.
