How to turn on the WPL01 pointer?

Insert two AAA batteries into the battery compartment, then slide the switch on the side of the pointer to the ON position. An indicator light shows that the device is powered on.

How to connect the USB receiver?

Take out the USB receiver from its compartment at the back of the pointer and plug it into a free USB port on your computer. No driver is needed: the pointer is recognized automatically.

What is the maximum range of the pointer?

The wireless range in 2.4 GHz can reach 30 meters under normal use (without major obstacles).

How to use the laser?

Press the button marked with a laser symbol (usually red) on top of the pointer to activate the laser beam. Release to turn it off. Caution: never point the laser at eyes.

Can the pointer be used with presentation software other than PowerPoint?

Yes, the WPL01 pointer sends standard previous and next page commands (PgUp/PgDn keys) compatible with most presentation software such as PowerPoint, Keynote, LibreOffice Impress and PDF viewers.

How to replace the batteries?

Open the battery compartment at the back of the pointer by sliding the cover. Replace the two used batteries with new AAA batteries, respecting the indicated polarity.

Is the USB receiver compatible with USB 3.0 ports?

Yes, the receiver is compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports. It can be plugged into any standard USB port on the computer.

What to do if the pointer does not work?

Check that the batteries are correctly inserted and not discharged. Ensure the USB receiver is properly connected and the pointer is turned on. Try restarting the computer or plugging the receiver into a different USB port.

Is the laser dangerous for eyes?

The pointer uses a class 2 laser (low power). It is not dangerous in normal use, but never look directly into the beam or point it at anyone's eyes or animals. Keep out of reach of children.

How to clean the pointer?

Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surface. Do not use chemicals, solvents or abrasive liquids. Avoid getting the device wet.
