- Incorrect operaon and Improper handling can lead to faults on the device and injuries to the user.
- In the event of improper use or incorrect handling, no liability can be accepted for any damages that may occur.
- Before you put the plug into the socket, please check that the type of current and mains voltage correspond to the instrucons on the nameplate on the underside of the appliance.
- Keep the base away from damp, and protect from splashes.
- Do not immerse the unit or mains plug in water or other liquids. There is danger to life due to electric shock! However, if this should occur, remove the mains plug immediately and then have the unit checked by an expert before using it again.
- Do not operate the device if the mains cable or the mains plug show signs of damage, if the device has fallen on the floor or has been otherwise damaged. In such cases take the device to a specialist for checking and repair, if necessary.
- Ensure that the mains cable does not hang over sharp edges and keep it away from hot objects and open flames. Only pull it out of the socket by the plug, not by the cable.
- Place the appliance on a stable, level and heat-resistantsurface, away from hot objects(e.g. hotpiates), nakedflames; do not place under curtains or low wall-cupboards.
- This device is not suitable for commercial use nor for use in the open air.
- You should never leave the device unaended during use.
- Children cannot recognise the hazards which aend improper handling of electrical devices. Therefore, children should never use electrical domesc appliances unsupervised.
- Use the kele only with the base supplied, and do not use the base for any other purposes.
- Do not overfill! Check the level indicator (MAX) when filling.
- Never remove the kele from its base while in operaon. Switch the appliance off first.
- Take care to close the lid properly before switching on. Otherwise, the appliance will not switch off automacally and hot water may overflow.
- The kele is for heang water only, and is not to be used for any other fluids.
- Always hold the lid closed when pouring the water out. Beware of scalding!
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilies or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instrucon concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.1
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external mer or separate remote-control system.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- The appliance is for indoor use only. FUNCTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS
- Remove all packaging material.
- Clean the kele by filling with clean water and bringing to the boil (see ”Operaon”). Pour away the water then repeat the operaon. LockOPERATION
- Wind out the mains cord only as much as necessary. Draw it out through the opening in the base and connect it to a suitable mains socket. Place the base on a flat surface.
- Open the lid by turnning the lid and pour in the desired quanty of water. While doing so, watch the water level mark inside the appliance. Never go above the maximum (MAX) marks.
- Close the lid and ensure that the kele is switched off before seng it on the base. Remember to cover the lid correctly, otherwise it will not cut off the electricity automacally even aer the water has boiled.
- Press theC switch down. The appliance will begin to operate, and the indicator light will come on.
- When the water boils, the appliance will switch off automacally and the indicator light will go off.
- You can pour the water out without opening the lid.
- If you wish to stop the boiling process or interrupt it temporarily, switch the appliance off by pushing the “O/I” switch upward. Note: This appliance comes with a safety device which automacally switches off the heater element if the applicance is inadvertently switched when empty, or if it boils dry. In this case, let the applicance cool down completely, before filling with water again.CLEANING AND CARE Please also observe the safety advice for this.
- Always remove the plug from the mains socket before cleaning the base. Let the kele cool down completely.
- Clean the outside of the kele and the base with a so damp cloth. Do not use scouring materials.
- Descale at regular intervals. Use a descaling agent, which can be obtained from specialist shops, and follow the instrucons given.
