How to install the Gigaset Elements motion detector?
You can install it either on a foot or fix it to the wall using the supplied adhesive tapes or screws and wall plugs. The optimal location is indicated in the Getting Started leaflet. Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free of grease.
Which battery to use for the motion detector?
Use exclusively a 3.0 V lithium battery type CR123A or CR17345. Damaged batteries must be replaced immediately.
What is the range of the motion detector?
The range is up to 300 meters outdoors and up to 50 meters indoors in a building.
Does the motion detector work with the Gigaset Elements security pack?
Yes, the motion detector is an extension of the Gigaset Elements security pack. This must be previously installed and functional.
How to clean the motion detector?
Wipe the device with a damp cloth or an antistatic cloth. Do not use solvent, microfiber cloth, or dry cloth to avoid static charges.
What to do if the motion detector comes into contact with a liquid?
Disconnect the device or remove the battery. Let the liquid drain, dry it with an absorbent cloth, then place it in a warm and dry place for at least 72 hours before turning it back on.
Where can I install the motion detector?
Install it in a closed, dry room, at a temperature between +5 °C and +45 °C. Avoid humid rooms such as bathroom or shower, and explosive environments.
Is the motion detector guaranteed?
Yes, the warranty is 24 months for manufacturing or material defects. Batteries and wearing parts are guaranteed for 6 months. The warranty does not cover damage due to improper use.
How to claim the warranty?
Contact customer service via www.gigaset-elements.fr/contact with your purchase invoice. Claims must be made within two months of becoming aware of the defect.
