Frequently Asked Questions - ES910 Royal Sovereign

How to use hot mode?
Place the machine on a flat surface and turn it on. Select the thickness setting (3-5 mil). Wait for the Ready indicator to light up (about 5 minutes). Insert the pouch with the document, sealed side first, into the front opening. The document will automatically exit from the rear. Let it cool on a flat surface or on the cooling rails.
How to use cold mode?
If the machine was in hot mode, let it cool for about 25 minutes. Select cold mode using the adjustment knob. Wait for the Ready indicator to light up. Place the document with the adhesive side of the cold film facing down, sealed side first. Insert into the front opening while gently removing the backing paper during insertion.
What to do if the pouch jams?
Press the reverse switch to eject the pouch from the front. If the jam persists, contact Royal Sovereign customer service at 1-800-397-1025.
Why does the Ready indicator not light up?
Check that the machine is plugged in and the switch is set to hot or cold. If the room temperature is below 18°C, the warm-up time may be longer. Ensure the thickness setting is correct.
Can I laminate thick items?
The maximum recommended thickness is 0.7 mm (27.6 mil) for the entire document + pouch. Do not insert thicker items such as flowers or clothing. Use 3 to 5 mil pouches.
How to clean the machine?
Unplug the device and let it cool. Clean the exterior with a soft dry cloth. Do not use liquids or abrasive products. Never immerse the machine in water.
Does the machine shut off automatically?
Yes, the laminator has an auto shut-off function after one hour of inactivity. This saves energy and prevents risks.
Can I use pouches of different thicknesses?
Yes, the machine has a temperature setting for pouches from 3 to 5 mil (75-125 microns). Select the appropriate thickness using the adjustment knob before laminating.
What to do if lamination is not uniform?
Check that the machine has reached the correct temperature (Ready indicator on). Ensure the pouch is inserted straight and centered. If the problem persists, perform a test with a pouch and similar document before laminating an original.
