How to reset the Huawei E5330 to factory settings?

Press and hold the RESET button until all indicators are off. The Mobile WiFi will then restore its factory settings.

How to log into the administration interface?

Open a browser and type http://192.168.8.1 in the address bar. The default username and password are admin.

What is the default SSID and WiFi password?

The default SSID and encryption key are printed on the label on the Mobile WiFi. It is recommended to change them via the administration interface.

How to install the SIM card?

Open the back cover, insert the SIM card into the slot provided, then install the battery. Refer to the diagram in the manual.

What to do if I cannot access 192.168.8.1?

If the IP address is in conflict, the Mobile WiFi may use 192.168.9.1. Try this address. If the problem persists, contact an authorized dealer.

How to change the WiFi password?

Log into the administration interface (http://192.168.8.1), go to WiFi settings and change the encryption key. Save the changes.

How many devices can connect simultaneously?

The Huawei E5330 supports up to 10 devices connected simultaneously.

How to check the battery status?

The battery indicator is green if the battery is sufficient, flashing green when charging, and red if the battery is low.

What do the indicator lights mean?

Power indicator: slow blinking in standby. Messages indicator: solid green for new message, flashing green if mailbox full. WiFi indicator: green if enabled, blue if connected. Signal indicator: green (strong), orange (weak), red (no signal).

Quick Start

For detailed information about the functions and configurations of the Mobile WiFi, refer to the online help on the web management page. To access Mobile WiFi's web management page, use a connected device's browser and visit http://192.168.8.1. The default user name and password is admin.

Note:

If the IP address conflicts with other IP addresses on the network, the IP address of the Mobile WiFi automatically changes. Please try http://192.168.9.1. If you cannot log in, contact an authorized dealer.

Appearance

① Power indicator

Blinks slowly: The Mobile WiFi enters the standby mode.

② Messages indicator

• Green: New message.
• Blinking green: Inbox full.

③ Battery indicator

• Green: Sufficient battery.

• Blinking green: Charging the battery.

• Red: Low battery.
  ④ Wi-Fi indicator

• Green: Wi-Fi turned on.
• Blue: Connected to WLAN.

⑤ Micro USB port

⑥ Signal indicator

• Green: Strong signal.
• Orange: Weak signal.
• Red: No signal.

SSID and Wireless Network Encryption Key

When a Wi-Fi device establishes a connection to the Mobile WiFi for the first time, you may need to enter the default Service Set Identifier (SSID) and wireless network encryption key.

The default SSID and encryption key are printed on the Mobile WiFi label.

It is recommended that you can log in to the web management page and change your SSID and wireless network encryption key.
