How to set the freezer temperature?
Unlock the settings by pressing the '+' and '-' buttons simultaneously for more than one second. Then use the 'Up' and 'Down' buttons to adjust the temperature between -16°C and -24°C. After 5 seconds of inactivity, the temperature is automatically saved.
What to do if the audible alarm goes off?
The alarm triggers when the internal temperature exceeds -12°C for more than 3 hours. Check that the lid is properly closed and that the appliance is not experiencing a power outage. If the problem persists, contact customer service.
What is the maximum freezing capacity?
You can freeze up to 5 kg of fresh food in 24 hours. Do not exceed this capacity to ensure fast and even freezing.
How to use the quick freeze function?
Press the 'Super FRZ' button 24 hours before adding fresh food. The temperature automatically drops to -30°C for 26 hours, then returns to the previous setting. The indicator light turns off when the function deactivates.
How to defrost the freezer?
Unplug the appliance and remove the food. Leave the lid open. To speed up, place containers of hot water inside. Never use sharp objects or electrical appliances. Once the frost has melted, remove the water via the drain plug and dry the inside.
What are the energy-saving tips?
Install the freezer away from heat sources, do not place hot food inside, do not overload compartments, defrost regularly, and clean dust from the back.
What to do in case of a power outage?
Do not open the lid. Frozen food remains frozen for up to 20 hours if the outage is short. Beyond that, check the food: consume it or refreeze after cooking.
The lid is difficult to open after closing, is this normal?
Yes, this is due to a pressure difference. Wait a few minutes for the pressure to equalize, then the lid will open normally.
How to clean the interior of the freezer?
Use a damp cloth with a solution of warm water and baking soda (1 teaspoon per 0.5 L of water). Never use abrasive products, soap, or harsh detergents.

Freezing Fresh Food

Place fresh food to be frozen near the side walls to ensure fast freezing and away from already frozen food, if possible.

Freezing capacity of your appliance in a 24-hour period is 5 kg (10 lb).

Never exceed this maximum capacity. Do not freeze too large a quantity at any one time. The quality of the food is best preserved when it is frozen right through to the center as quickly as possible.

Take special care not to mix already frozen food and fresh food.

- It's suggested to set the temperature at 4°C in the fridge compartment, and, if possible, at -18°C in the freezer compartment.

- For most food categories, the longest storage time in the fridge compartment is achieved with colder temperatures. Since some particular products (such as fresh fruits and vegetables) may be damaged with colder temperatures, it is suggested to keep them in the crisper drawers, whenever present. If not present, maintain an average setting of the thermostat.

- For frozen food, refer to the storage time written on the food packaging. This storage time is achieved whenever the setting respects the reference temperatures of the compartment (one-star -6°C, two stars -12°C, three stars -18°C).

ENERGY SAVING

For better energy saving we suggest:

  • Installing the appliance away from heat sources and not exposed to direct sunlight and in a well-ventilated room.
  • Avoid putting hot food into the refrigerator to avoid increasing the internal temperature and therefore causing continuous functionalizing of the compressor.
  • Do not excessively stuff foods so as to ensure proper air circulation. Defrost the appliance in case there is ice to facilitate the transfer of cold.
  • In case of absence of electrical energy, it is advisable to keep the refrigerator door closed.
  • Open or keep the doors of the appliance open as little as possible.
  • Avoid adjusting the setting to temperatures too cold.
  • Remove dust present on the rear of the appliance.

TAKE CARE

Defrosting

Defrost twice a year or when a frost layer of around 7 mm (1/4") has formed.

Alternatively you may switch off the freezer at the socket outlet and pull out the mains plug. Extract the water conduit and put in a water container.

6 hours before the defrosting, please set the thermostat knob at "MAX" position to make sure the food is at the lowest temperature when you get it out. All food should be wrapped in several layers of newspaper and stored in a cool place (e.g. fridge or larder). Remove the freezer basket. Leave the lid open. Containers of warm water may be placed carefully in the freezer to speed up the defrosting.

When defrosting has finished flow out defrost water which collects at the bottom of the freezer as the below diagram and dry the interior thoroughly. Switch on the Fast Freeze and leave it on for about three hours.

graph LR A["Step ①: Rotation arrow"] --> B["Step ②: Rotation arrow"] B --> C["Step ③: Rotation arrow"] C --> D["Step ④: Rotation arrow"]

  1. There is a water conduit at the bottom of the freezer, when defrosting, extract the rubber cover, defrosted water will drip into the hole and flow out. (NOTES: Please keep the rubber cover well during the defrosting and put it back after defrosting is done).
  2. Extract the water conduit by 20-25mm until the water hole can be seen.
  3. Twist the water conduit until the arrow points downward.
  4. After defrosting is done, make sure there is no more water coming out before out the water conduit in place and make the arrow point upward.

Cleaning and Care

We recommend that you switch off the freezer at the socket outlet and pull out the mains plug before cleaning.

Never use any sharp abrasive instrument, soap, household cleaner, detergent and wax polish for cleaning.

Use lukewarm water to clean the cabinet of the freezer and wipe it dry.

Use a damp cloth wrung out in a solution of one teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda to one pint of water to clean the interior and wipe it dry.

Excess deposit of ice should be removed on a regular basis using a plastic ice scraper available from your local store. Large accumulation of ice will impair the performance of the freezer.

If the freezer is not going to be used for a long period of time switch it off, remove all food, clean it and leave the lid ajar.

Check lid seals regularly to ensure they are clean and free from food particles.
