Use and care instructions
Congratulations on choosing this high-quality BEEM product
Please read the following use and care instructions before the first use:
- Remove the packaging material and stickers. Rinse the device with hot water and dry it well.
- Overheating can damage the stainless steel. Initially, it has a yellow colour and becomes darker as it gets hotter. Never heat up empty cookware. Leaving the cookware unattended could lead to damage to the cookware or to the source of heat.
- The teapot set is suitable for all types of hobs. Use on induction hobs can create a buzzing noise; this can differ depending on the manufacturer and quality of the hob.
This noise does not represent a defect to either your hob or the cookware.
The base diameter of the induction plate on your tea set and the induction hob must be roughly equal; otherwise there is a chance that the cooking area will not be equivalent to the base of the pot. We recommend a cooktop diameter of 14.5 cm for the teapot set.
Old induction hobs that do not represent the latest stage of technology do not respond as well to the magnetic base of the pot. When using gas hobs, you must ensure that the flames do not reach the sides of the pot. - Never touch the external walls of the teapot set when in use: There is a risk of burning.
- Only touch the teapot and kettle on the handles.
- Do not open the lid whilst the water is boiling. There is a risk of burning from the bubbling water.
Preparing tea
- Pour water into the kettle and boil it with the lid on.
- Add the tea leaves or teabag to the teapot and pour hot water over the tea.
• Take the lid from the kettle. Place the teapot on top of the kettle and place the lid on the teapot. The hot water in the kettle keeps the tea in the tea pot warm.
Special cleaning instructions
The teapot set cannot be put in the dishwasher due to the handles. Scourers and scouring powders containing sand scratch the surface and should therefore not be used. Rainbow-coloured rims are a sign of overheating; these disappear after several uses. Yellow or even brown discolourations caused by overheating remain.
Rust stains are caused by iron and lime residues in the water and are purely superficial. They can be removed using conventional detergents designed for stainless steel cookware.
Small white marks appear on the base as a result of using calcareous water. All kinds of marks can be removed using vinegar and/or lemon juice, covering with warm water and leaving to stand overnight.
