INSTRUCTIONS WHEN USING YOUR DISHWASHER

This dishwasher is not designed for commercial use. It is intended for use in domestic households and in similar working and residential environments such as:

• Hostels and guest houses. It must only be used as a domestic appliance as specified in these user manual, for cleaning domestic crockery and cutlery. Any other usage is not supported by the manufacturer and could be dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for damage resulting from incorrect or improper use or operation. Do not use solvents in the dishwasher. Danger of explosion. Do not inhale or ingest dishwasher detergent. Dishwasher detergents contain irritant or corrosive ingredients which can cause burning in the nose, mouth and throat if swallowed, or inhibit breathing. Consult a doctor immediately if detergent has been swallowed or inhaled. Avoid leaving the door open unnecessarily, as you could trip over it. Do not sit or lean on the opened door. This could cause the dishwasher to tip and be damaged, and you could get injured. Only use detergent and rinse aid formulated for domestic dishwashers. Do not use washing‐up liquid. Do not use the strong acid cleaning agent. Do not fill the rinse aid reservoir with powder or liquid detergent. This will cause serious damage to the reservoir. Inadvertently filling the salt reservoir with powder or liquid dishwasher detergent will damage the water softener. Make sure you have picked up the correct packet of dishwasher salt before filling the salt reservoir. Please only use special coarse grained dishwasher salt for reactivation, as other salts may contain insoluble additives which can impair the functioning of the softener. In an appliance with a cutlery basket (depending on model), cutlery is cleaned and dried more if placed in eciently the basket with the handles downwards. However, to avoid the risk of injury, place knives and forks etc. with the handles upwards. Plastic items which cannot withstand being washed in hot water, such as disposable plastic containers, or plastic cutlery and crockery should not be cleaned in the dishwasher. The high temperatures in the dishwasher may cause them to melt or lose shape. On models with Delay Start function, make sure that the dispenser is dry before adding detergent. Wipe dry if necessary. Detergent will clog if poured into a damp dispenser and may not be thoroughly dispersed. INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROTECTING YOUR CHILDREN

This appliance is not a toy! To avoid the risk of injury, keep children well away and do not allow them to play in or around the dishwasher or to use the controls. They will not understand the potential dangers posed by it. They should be supervised whenever you are working in the kitchen. There is also a danger that children playing might shut themselves in the dishwasher. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. Older children may only use the dishwasher when its operation has been clearly explained to them and they are able to use it safely, recognising the dangers of misuse. KEEP CHILDREN AWAY FROM DETERGENTS! Dishwasher detergents contain irritant and corrosive ingredients which can cause burning in the mouth, nose and throat if swallowed, or inhibit breathing. Keep children away from the dishwasher when the door is open. There could still be detergent residues in the cabinet. Consult a doctor immediately if your child has swallowed or inhaled detergent.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING YOUR DISHWASHER

Before setting up the appliance, check it for any externally visible damage. Under no circumstances should you use a damaged appliance. A damaged appliance could be dangerous. The dishwasher must only be plugged into the electricity supply via a suitable switched socket. The electrical socket must be easily accessible after the dishwasher is installed so that it can be disconnected from the electricity supply at any time. (Refer to the “Part and features” section on page 11.) There must be no electrical sockets behind the dishwasher. Danger of overheating and fire risk if the dishwasher were to be pushed up against a plug. The dishwasher must not be installed under a hob. The high radiant temperatures which are sometimes generated by a hob could damage the dishwasher. For the same reason it should not be installed next to open fires or other appliances which give o heat, such as heaters etc. Do not connect the dishwasher to the mains supply until it has been fully installed and any adjustment has been made to the door springs. Before connecting the appliance, check that the connection data on the data plate (voltage and connected load) match the mains electricity supply. If in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician. It is most important that this basic safety requirement is present and regularly tested and where there is any doubt the electrical system in the house should be checked by a qualified electrician. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for the consequences of an inadequate grounding system (e.g. electric shock). Do not connect the appliance to the mains electricity supply by a multi‐socket unit or an extension lead. These do not guarantee the required safety of the appliance (e.g. danger of overheating). This appliance may only be installed in mobile installations such as ships if a risk assessment of the installation has been carried out by a suitably qualified engineer. The plastic housing of the water connection contains an electrical component. The housing must not be submerged in water. There are electrical wires in the hose of Aqua-Stop. Never cut the water inlet hose, even if it is too long. Installation, maintenance and repairs may only be carried out by a suitably qualified and competent person in strict accordance with current national and local safety regulations. Repairs and other work by unqualified persons can be dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for unauthorised work. The integrated waterproof system oers protection from water damage, provided the following conditions are met:

• The dishwasher is correctly installed and plumbed in.

• The dishwasher is properly maintained and parts are replaced where it can be seen that this is necessary.

• The stopcock has been turned o when the appliance is not used for a longer period of time (e.g. during holidays).

• The waterproof system will work even if the appliance is switched o. However, the appliance must remain connected to the electricity supply. A damaged appliance can be dangerous. If the dishwasher gets damaged, switch it o at the mains and call your dealer or the service department. Unauthorised repairs could result in unforeseen dangers for the user, for which the manufacturer cannot accept liability. Repairs should only be undertaken by an approved service technician. Faulty components must only be replaced by original spare parts. Only when these parts are fitted can the safety of the appliance can be guaranteed. Always disconnect the dishwasher from the electrical supply for maintenance work (switch o at the wall socket and remove the plug). If the connection cable is damaged it must be replaced with a special cable, available from the manufacturer. For safety reasons, this must only be fitted by the service department or an authorised service technician. Any damage which may be caused by cockroaches or other vermin will not be covered by the guarantee. In the event of a fault or for cleaning purposes, the appliance is only completely isolated from the electiricity supply when:

• it is switched o at the wall socket and the plug is withdrawn, or

• it is switched o at the mains, or

• the mains fuse is disconnected, or

• the screw-out fuse is removed (in countries where this is applicable). Do not make any alterations to the appliance, unless authorised to do so by the manufacturer. Never open the casing/housing of the appliance. Tempering with electrical connections or components and mechanical parts is highly dangerous and can cause operational faults or electric shock. While the appliance is under guarantee, repairs should only be undertaken by a service technician authorised by the manufacturer. Otherwise the guarantee will be invalidated. When installing the product, make sure there is space at the top, left, right and back of the product to ensure proper ventilation. If there is insucient space between the product and the sink, it may damage the sink or allow mold to grow. Make sure that your dishwasher’s hardness level setting is correct as your area. 1 POWER BUTTON Press this button to turn on your dishwasher: the screen lights up. 2 PROGRAM BUTTON To select washing program press this button.

For small amount of loading items, use either the upper or lower basket only to save energy. Press the Half load button to select the upper or lower basket.

This option allows you to lock the buttons on the control panel so children cannot accidentally start the dishwasher by pressing the buttons on the panel. To lock and unlock the buttons on the control panel, hold down both the Child lock buttons for three (3) seconds. 5 DISPLAY WINDOW Running indicator, delay time, error codes and etc. 6 START BUTTON In Power on condition, close the dishwasher door and select the cycle and desired options. Press the Start button to begin the cycle. When you want to pause the dishwasher while running, press the Start button and make sure to open the door slowly and carefully. You can reset the machine by pressing the Start button for 3 seconds during washing. After reset, the dishwasher goes to the initial state except salt consumption setting of water softener.

7 DELAY START BUTTON

Press this button to set the delayed hours for washing. You can delay the start of washing up to 24 hours. One press on this button delays the start of washing by one hour. 8 HYGIENE BUTTON Push the Hygiene button for the best possible hygiene in your dishwasher. At the final rinse it heat up to 67 °C and hold this temperature for a several minutes. This function is available with all program except Pre Wash, Delicate and Quick Wash.

• An 220-240 V~, 50 Hz fuse or a circuit breaker.• An individual branch circuit serving your dishwasher. Grounding instructions Insure proper ground exists before useThis appliance must be grounded. In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, grounding will reduce the risk of electric shock by providing a path of least resistance of electric current. This appliance is equipped with a cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.WARNING: Improper connection of the equipment grounding conductor can result in the risk of an electric shock. Check with a qualified electrician or service representative if you are in doubt whether the appliance is properly grounded. Do not modify the plug provided with the appliance.

WATER SUPPLY AND DRAIN

Cold water connection Connect the cold water supply hose to a threaded 3/4 (inch) connector and make sure that it is fastened tightly in place.If the water pipes are new or have not been used for an extended period of time, let the water run to make sure that the water is clear. This precaution is needed to avoid the risk of the water inlet to be blocked and damage the appliance.Provided water supply hose has the aqua-safe system. Ensure that water supply hose’s aqua-safe pipe is connected to the faucet. In this case, the wash cycle time will be shortened by about 15 minutes and the wash eciency slightly reduced. The connection must be made to the hot water line following the same procedures as those for the connection to the cold water line. Positioning the appliance Position the appliance in the desired location. The back should rest against the wall behind it, and the sides, along the adjacent cabinets or wall. The dishwasher is equipped with water supply and drain hoses that can be positioned to the right or the left to facilitate proper installation. How to drain excess water from hoses If the sink is 1000 mm higher from the floor, the excess water in hoses cannot be drained directly into the sink. It will be necessary to drain excess water from hoses into a bowl or suitable container that is held outside and lower than the sink. Water outlet Connect the water drain hose. The drain hose must be correctly fitted to avoid water leaks. Ensure that the water inlet hose is not kinked or squashed. Extension hose If you need a drain hose extension, Use a similar size and quality drain hose. It must be no longer than 4 metres; otherwise the cleaning eect of the dishwasher could be reduced. Syphon connection The waste connection must be at a height of between 40 cm (minimum) and 100 cm (maximum) from the bottom of the dishwasher. The water drain hose should be fixed by a hose clip. Aqua-safe (DW60H6050/DW60H5050) The Aqua-safe System is a safety valve system, preventing water leaks. If the water inlet hose starts to leak anytime, the safety valve cuts o the running water. If the water inlet hose or the safety valve is damaged, remove and replace it. Do not enlarge or shorten the inlet hose. Insert the drain hose into a drain pipe with a minimum diameter of 4 cm, or let it run into the sink, making sure to avoid bending or crimping it. The top of the hose must be at a height between 40 and 100 cm. The free end of the hose must not be immersed in water to avoid the back flow of it.

POSITION THE APPLIANCE

Position the appliance in the desired location. The back should rest against the wall behind it, and the sides, along the adjacent cabinets or walls. The dishwasher is equipped with water supply and drain hoses that can be positioned either to the right or the left sides to facilitate proper installation. Levelling the Appliance Once the appliance is positioned for levelling, the height of the dishwasher may be altered via adjustment of the screwing level of the feet. In any case, the appliance should not be inclined more than 2°.

The followings should be checked before starting the dishwasher.

1. the dishwasher is level and fi xed.

2. the inlet valve is opened.

3. there leakage at the connections of the conducts.

4. the wires are tightly connected.

5. the power is switched on.

6. the inlet and drain hoses are not knotted.

Using the detergent and water softener WATER SOFTENER The water softener must be set manually, using the water hardness dial.The water softener is designed to remove minerals and salts from the water, which would have a detrimental or adverse eect on the operation of the appliance. The higher the content of these minerals and salts, the harder your water is. The softener should be adjusted according to the hardness of the water in your area. Your local Water Authority can advise you on the hardness of the water in your area. Adjusting salt consumption The dishwasher is designed to allow for adjusting the amount of salt consumed based on the hardness of the water used. LOADING THE SALT INTO THE SOFTENER

Always use salt intended for use with dishwasher. The salt container is located beneath the lower rack and should be filled as follows: ATTENTION

• Only use salt specifically designed for use in dishwashers! All other types of salt not specifically designed for use in a dishwasher, especially table salt, will damage the water softener. In case of damages caused by the use of unsuitable salt the manufacturer does not give any warranty nor is liable for any caused damages.

• Only fill with salt just before starting one of the complete washing programs. This will prevent any grains of salt or salty water, which may have been split, remaining of the bottom of the machine for any period of time, which may cause corrosion.

• After the first wash cycle the control panel light expires.

1. Remove the lower basket and then unscrew and remove the cap from

the salt container. Open

2. If you are fi lling the container for the fi rst time, fi ll 2/3 of its volume with water (around 1 liter).

3. Place the end of the funnel (supplied) into the hole and introduce about

1,5 kg of salt. It is Normal for a small amount of water to come out of the salt container.

4. Carefully screw the cap back on.

5. Usually, the salt warning light will be o after the salt container be fi lled with salt.

• The salt container must be refilled when the salt warning light in the control panel comes on. Though the salt container is filled enough, the indicator light may not light may not switch o until the salt fully dissolves. If there is no salt warning light in the control panel, you can judge when to load the salt into the softener by the cycles that the dishwasher has run.

FILL THE RINSE AID DISPENSER

Function of rinse aid Rinse aid is automatically added during the last rinse, ensuring thorough rinsing, and spot and streak free drying. ATTENTION: Only use branded rinse aid for dishwasher. Never fill the rinse aid dispenser with any other substances (e.g. dishwasher cleaning agent, liquid detergent). This would damage the appliance. When to refill the rinse aid dispenser If there is no rinse-aid warning light in the control panel, you can judge the amount of rinse-aid by the Colour of the optical level indicator “D” located next to the cap. When the rinse-aid container is full, the whole indicator will be dark. As the rinse-aid diminishes, the size of the dark dot decreases. You should never let the rinse aid get below 1/4 full. As the rinse aid diminishes, the size of the black dot on the rinse aid level indicator changes, as illustrated below. To fill the dispenser, open the cap and pour the rinse aid into the dispenser until the level indicator turns completely black. The volume of the rinse aid container is about 130 ml. Be careful not to overfill the dispenser, because this could cause over sudsing. Wipe away any spills with a damp cloth. Don’t forget to replace the cap before you close dishwasher door. ATTENTION: Clean up any rinse aid spilt during filling with an absorbent cloth to avoid excess foaming during the next wash. Adjusting rinse aid dispenser The rinse aid dispenser has four settings. Always start with the dispenser set on “3”. If spots and poor drying are problems, increase the amount of rinse aid dispensed by removing the dispenser lid and rotating the dial to “4”. We suggest you to set on “3” (Factory value is “3”). Increase the dose if there are drops of water or lime spots on the dishes after washing. Reduce it if there are sticky whitish streaks on the dishes or a bluish film on glassware or knife blades. FUNCTION OF DETERGENT

Detergents with its chemical ingredients are necessary to remove dirt, crush dirt and transport it out of the dishwasher. Most of commercial quality detergents are suitable for this purpose.

WARNING: Dishwasher detergent is corrosive! Take care to keep it out of reach of children.

Proper Use of Detergent Use only detergent specifically made for use in dishwashers. Keep your detergent fresh and dry. Don’t put powder detergent into the dispenser until you’re ready to wash dishes. Concentrated detergent Based on their chemical composition, dishwasher detergent can be split in two basic types:

• conventional, alkaline detergents with caustic components

• low alkaline concentrated detergents with natural enzymes The use of “normal” washing programmes in conjunction with concentrated detergents reduces pollution and is good for your dishes; these wash programmes are specially matched to the dirt-dissolving properties of the enzymes of the concentrated detergent. For this reason “normal” wash programmes in which concentrated detergents are used can achieve the same results that can otherwise only be achieved using “intensive” programmes. Detergent tablets Detergent tablets of dierent brands dissolve at dierent speeds. For this reason some detergent tablets cannot dissolve and develop their full cleaning power during short programmes. Therefore please use long programmes when using detergent tablets, to unsure the complete removal of detergent residuals. Detergent dispenser The dispenser must be refilled before the start of each wash cycle following the instructions provided in the Wash Cycle Table. Your dishwasher uses less detergent and rinse aid then conventional dishwashers. Generally, only one tablespoon of detergent is needed for a normal wash load. Also, more heavily soiled items need more detergent. Always add the detergent just before starting the dishwasher, otherwise it could get damp and will not dissolve properly. This section is for the pre wash detergent, approximately 5 g If the dishes are heavily soiled, place an additional detergent dose in the pre-wash detergent chamber. This detergent will take eect during the pre-wash phase. You can find information about the amount of detergent for the single programmes on the “Wash cycle table”. (See page 35) Please be aware, that according to the soiling level and the specific hardness of water dierences are possible.

2. Close the lid and press until it locks in place.

Please observe the manufacturers dosing and storage recommendations as stated on the detergent packaging. Detergents There are 3 sorts of detergents.

1. With phosphate and with chlorine.

2. With phosphate and without chlorine.

3. Without phosphate and without chloride.

Normally new pulverised detergent is without phosphate. The water softener function of phosphate is not given. In this case we recommend to fill salt in the salt container even when the hardness of water is only 6 dH. If detergents without phosphate were used in case of hard water often white spots appear at dishes and glasses. In this case please add more detergent to reach better results. Detergents without chlorine do only bleach a little. Strong and coloured spots will not removed completely. In this case please choose a programme with higher temperature. HOW TO USE THE MULTI IN 1 OPTION Your dishwasher has a Multi in 1 option which does not need salt and rinse aid but a 3 In1 tablet. This option can select on Intensive, Eco program only. The Multi in 1 setting is only for use with Multi in 1 tablets. If using Multi in 1 tablet without this option, the appliance will not get it’s best performance.

Features and appearance of racks and silverware baskets may vary from your model. Attention before or after loading the dishwasher racks Scrape o any large amounts of leftover food. It is not necessary to rinse the dishes under running water. Place objects in the dishwasher in the following order:

1. Items such as cups, glasses, pots/pans, etc. are stood upside down.

2. Curved items, or those with recesses, should be at a slant so that water can run o.

3. They are stacked securely and can not tip over.

4. They do not prevent the spray arms from rotating while washing takes place.

Very small items should not be washed in the dishwasher as they could easily fall out of the racks. Removing the dishes To prevent water dripping from the upper basket into the lower basket, we recommend that you empty the lower basket first and then the upper basket.

LOADING THE UPPER BASKET

The upper basket is designed to hold more delicate and lighter dishware such as glasses, coee and tea cups and saucers, as well as plates, small bowls and shallow pans (as long as they are not too dirty). Position the dishes and cookware so that they will not get moved by the spray of water. Always place glasses, cups & bowls upside down.

We recommend that you place large items which are most dicult to clean in to the lower rack: pots, pans, lids, serving dishes and bowls, as shown in the figure to the right. It is preferable to place serving dishes and lids on the side of the racks in order to avoid blocking the rotation of the top spray arm. Pots, serving bowls, etc. must always be placed top down. Deep pots should be slanted to allow water to flow out. The bottom rack feature fold down tine rows so that larger or more pots and pans can be loaded.

Please do not overload your dishwasher. There is only space for 12 standard dishes. Do not use dish that are not suitable for dishwashers. This is important for good results and for reasonable energy consumption. When loading the dishes and cutlery Dishes and cutlery must not impede the rotation of the spray arms. Load hollow items such as cups, glasses, pans etc. with the opening downwards so that water cannot collect in the container or a deep base. Dishes and items of cutlery must not lie inside one another, or cover each other

• To avoid damage to glasses, they must not touch.

• The upper rack is designed to hold more delicate and lighter dishware such as glasses, coee and tea cups. ATTENTION Long bladed knives stored in an upright position are a potential hazard! TURNING ON THE APPLIANCE

Starting a cycle wash

1. Draw out the lower and upper basket, load the dishes and push them back..

It is recommended to load the lower basket fi rst, then the upper one (see the section entitled “Loading the dishwasher racks”).

2. Pour in the detergent (see the section entitled “Using the detergent and water softener”).

3. Insert the plug into the socket. The power supply is 220-240 V~, 50 Hz, the specifi cation of the socket

is 15A 250 VAC. Make sure that the water supply is turned on to proper pressure.

4. Close the door, press the Power button, to switch on the machine.

5. Press the Program button, the wash program will be changed as follows direction:

Then press the Start button, the dishwasher begins to start. When you press the Start button to pause during washing, the running indicator will stop blinking and the dishwasher will beep every minute unless you press the Start button to start. CHANGE THE PROGRAM... Premise:

1. A cycle that is underway can only be modifi ed if it has only been running for a short time. Otherwise, the

detergent may have already been released, and the appliance may have already drained the wash water. If this is the case, the detergent dispenser must be refi lled (see the section entitled “Fill the detergent in dispenser”).

2. Press the Startbutton, the machine will be in standby state, press the Program button more than 3

seconds then you can change the program to the desired cycle setting. If you open the door during a wash cycle, the machine will pause. The program light will stop blinking and the buzzer will beep every minute unless you close the door. After you close the door, the machine will keep on working after 3 seconds automatically. If your model has broken memory function, the machine will go on to finish the selected program after the power cut. Add a dish A forgotten dish can be added at any time before the detergent dispenser opens.

1. Press the Start button and make sure to open the door slowly and carefully as there is a

possibility of injury from the hot steam inside the dishwasher.

2. After the spray arms stop working, you can open the door completely.

3. Add forgotten dishes.

4. Close the door. The dishwasher will work after 3 seconds.

WARNING: It is dangerous to open the door when washing, because the hot water may

scald you. If the door is opened while the dishwasher is running, a safety mechanism is activated and stops the cycle. In the digital display appears “0”, only in this case the programme has ended.

2. Turn o the water tap!

Open the door carefully. Hot steam may escape when the door is opened!

• Hot dishes are sensitive to knocks. The dishes should be allowed to cool down around 15 minutes before removing from the appliance.

• Open the dishwasher’s door, leave it and wait a few minutes before removing the dishes. In this way they will be cooler and the drying will be improved.

• Unloading the dishwasher. It is normal that the dishwasher is wet inside. Empty the lower basket first and then the upper one. This will avoid water dripping from the upper basket onto the dishes in the lower one.

• EN 50242: This program is the test cycle. The information for comparability test in accordance with EN 50242, as follows:;

• Rinse aid setting: 4 The wash time varies depending on the pressure and temperature of the supplied water. CLEANING THE FILTERS

Filtering system For your convenience, we have placed the drain pump and filtering system within easy reach inside the tub. There are three components of the filtering system: the main filter, the coarse filter, and the fine filter.

1. Main fi lter: Food and soil particles trapped by this fi lter are

pulverized by a special jet on the lower spray arm and washed down the drain.2. Coarse fi lter: Larger items, such as pieces of bone or glass, that could clog the drain are trapped in the coarse fi lter. To remove an item caught in this fi lter, gently squeeze the tabs on top of this fi lter and lift it out.

3. Fine fi lter: This fi lter holds soil and food residue in the sump area

and prevents it from being redeposited on the dishes during a cycle.

ATTENTION: Do not put the fine filter upside down. Filter assembly For best performance and results, the filter assembly must be cleaned. The filter eciently removes food particles from the wash water, allowing it to be recirculated during the cycle. For this reason, it is a good idea to remove the larger food particles trapped in the filter after each wash cycle by rinsing the semicircular filter and cup under running water. To remove the filter assembly, turn it in anti-clockwise direction and lift the filter assembly up. The entire filter assembly should be cleaned regularly.To clean the coarse filter and the fine filter, use a cleaning brush. Then, reinsert the entire assembly in the dishwasher, positioning in its seat, pressing downward, turning it clockwise direction. Open The dishwasher must never be used without the filters. Improper replacement of the filter may reduce the performance level of the appliance and damage dishes and utensils.WARNING: Never run the dishwasher without the filters in place. If your dishwasher is left in an unheated place during the winter:
