Battery handling and usage

This appliance is intended for domestic / household use only, and should not be used for any other purpose. Any other use may invalidate the warranty and might be dangerous. The battery must be removed from the appliance before it is scrapped. CAUTION:RISK OF EXPLOSION IF BATTERY IS REPLACED BY AN INCORRECT TYPE. The battery is to be disposed of safely. Always use the scale on a hard, flat surface. DO NOT use on carpet. DO NOT strike, shake or drop the scale. Keep the scale dry.

Only adults should handle the batteries. Do not allow children to use the product unless the battery cover is inserted. Failure to properly align the battery polarity correctly can cause damage to the product and can cause a fire hazard. Replace the battery only with the same type. The batteries used in the product are 3 size AAA 1.5V batteries. Installing the batteries CAUTION: RISK OF EXPLOSION IF BATTERY IS REPLACED BY AN INCORRECT TYPE. 1. Remove the battery cover on the base of the scales.

batteries are placed incorrectly, the product will not work.

To weigh different loads consecutively without removing loads from the scale, put the first load on the scale, get weight reading. You can repeat the following process.

“TARE/ZERO” FUNCTION

5. Press to reset the scale to zero.

Clean the scale with a damp cloth. DO NOT immerse the scale in water or use chemical / abrasive cleaning agents. Batteries must be disposed of at your local recycling point. All plastic parts should be cleaned immediately after contact with fats, spices, vinegar and strongly flavoured / coloured foods. Avoid contact with acids citrus juices.
