USER MANUAL Gran Gala TERMOZETA
The present manual is an integral part of the appliance and must be carefully read before using it as it gives important indications with regard to safety of installation, use and maintenance. Keep it with care.

After taking off the packing make sure that the appliance is in case of doubt do not use it and contact an assistance centre by TERMOZETA.

Do not leave pieces of packing (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails etc.) within reach of children or persons with reduced mental capacities since these are potential sources of danger.
- If the appliance comes with an earth plug, the electrical safety is ensured only when this plug is correctly connected to an effective earthing system in compliance with the existing electrical safety standards. TERMOZETA shall not be held responsible for any damages caused by the lack of an earthing system.
- Before connecting the plug to the outlet check that the working voltage of the appliance corresponds to the one in your house. If in doubt, contact professionally qualified staff.
- Use of adaptors, multiple outlets and extension leads is not advisable. In case of necessity use exclusively approved devices in conformity with the current safety regulations while making sure that they are compatible with the appliance power. If in doubt, contact professionally qualified staff.
- Any installation which doesn't comply with what is specified can endanger your safety and the warranty expires. TERMOZETA shall not be held responsible for any damages to persons, animals or objects caused by incorrect installation or due to improper, incorrect and negligent use.
- The appliance was exclusively designed for domestic use to cook food.

For safety reasons pay attention and:

do not use the appliance when you are barefoot or having wet hands or feet
- do not use the appliance outside the domestic environment
- do not leave the appliance exposed to atmospheric agents (sun, rain, etc.)

never pull the power cord or the appliance itself in order to disconnect the plug from the outlet

do not leave the appliance unattended when it is plugged into the main power supply

never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids

Only use the appliance with the thermostat unit (4) supplied

The appliance can be used by children over the age of 8 and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge, only if they are supervised or instructed on how to use the appliance in safe conditions, and subject to their understanding of the relevant risks. Children must not play with the appliance. The appliance must not be cleaned or serviced by children under the age of 8 without the supervision of an adult.
- Keep the power cord out of the reach of children under the age of 8.
- The appliance becomes very hot during use. Pay attention to the risk of burns.
Children shall not play with the appliance. - The power cord of the appliance should never be replaced by the user himself. In case of necessity contact an assistance centre authorised by TERMOZETA or professionally qualified staff.
- In case of failure and/or malfunctioning of the appliance, turn it off and do not tamper with it. For any repairs contact an assistance centre authorised by TERMOZETA and ask for the use of original spare parts.
- At the end of the life-cycle of the appliance, put it out of service by cutting the power cord after disconnecting the plug from the outlet. For the disposal of the appliance follow the regulations which are valid in your place of residence.
- The appliance is not designed to be operated using external timers or a separate remote control.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
BEFORE USE
Wash and dry all parts of the appliance that come into contact with the food (see section on "CLEANING"): this operation must be carried out with the plug disconnected from the power outlet.
Smoke may be emitted: this is normal and is due to protective processing substances remaining on the internal resistances. The smoke will disappear with subsequent uses.
- Rest the appliance on a stable and heat resistant surface, away from inflammable materials or sources.
- Insert the thermostat unit (4) in the compartment provided (8)
- Unwind the power cord and completely rotate the dial (5) in a counter clockwise direction ("OFF" position).
- Insert the plug into the power outlet and select the desired temperature according to the instructions in table 1 and use the light (6) as a reference.
- The light (6) turns on. It will then automatically turn off when the plate reaches the set temperature. The appliance is ready for cooking.
- During operation, the light (6) turns on and will automatically turn off indicating that the appliance keeps the temperature selected constant.
- The temperature of the plate can be changed during the cooking process by adjusting the thermostat (9)

IMPORTANT:
- During operation, the plate becomes very hot: take care not to touch the plate and leave a suitable distance around the sides.
- Do not use the appliance near heat sources.
- Make sure the power cord does not hang from the resting top and make sure it does
not come into contact with the hot parts of the appliance
- Do not carry the appliance when it is still hot.
- Only use heat-resistant wooden or plastic utensils, so that the non-stick surface of the plate is not damaged
- The cooking time can be adjusted in relation to the type of food and its size.
AFTER USE
- After cooking, turn off the appliance by completely rotating the thermostat (5) in a counter clockwise direction.
- Disconnect the plug from the power outlet and let the appliance cool down completely before moving.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before carrying out any cleaning operation, disconnect the plug from the power outlet and wait for the appliance to cool down completely.
Remove the thermostat unit (4) from its compartment (8)
Use absorbent paper or a damp cloth to clean the plate: do not use chemical products, abrasives or rough sponges that may damage the surface of the plate.

IMPORTANT!
Use a dry cloth to clean the thermostat unit (4).
Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
Thoroughly dry the appliance before storing it away.
INFORMATION FOR USERS
In accordance with European Directives 2002/95/CE, 2002/96/CE and 2003/108/CE on the restriction of the use of dangerous substances in electric and electronic equipment as well as their waste disposal.
- The barred symbol of the rubbish bin shown on the equipment indicates that, at the end of its useful life, the product must be collected separately from other waste.
- Therefore, any products that have reached the end of their useful life must be given to waste disposal centres specialising in separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment, or given back to the retailer at the time of purchasing new similar equipment, on a one for one basis.
- The adequate separate collection for the subsequent start-up of the equipment sent to be recycled, treated and disposal of in an environmentally compatible way contributes to preventing possible negative effects on the environment and health and optimises the recycling and reuse of components making up the apparatus.
- Abusive disposal of the product by the user involves application of the administrative sanctions according to the laws in force.
