Storing Foods Effectively

Setting Express Cool
This turns the power on and off.
This quickly cools many refrigerated foods at once.
Press the Power button for 3 seconds or longer. The control panel lights, and the power is on.

Adjusting the Fridge Temperature
This adjusts the fridge temperature. Press the Fridge Temperature button to adjust the temperature.
The temperature is initially set to 3 °C, and the fridge temperature can be adjusted between 0 °C – 6 °C.
This adjusts the fridge temperature according to how the internal temperature changes. The actual inner temperature varies depending on the food status, as the indicated setting temperature is a target temperature, not actual temperature within fridge.
NOTE Allow your refrigerator to run for at least two to three hours before putting food in it.
Setting Power Save Mode
If you are away from home for a long period, this adjusts the Power Save mode to save energy. When you press the Eco Friendly button, the Eco Friendly icon lights on the control panel, and the mode is set. The mode is enabled and disabled in turn each time you press the button.
The Fridge Temperature or Express Cool function cannot be used in Power Save mode.

Using the Water Dispenser
This sets an alarm to activate when the product door is opened.

PRODUCT MANAGEMENT Using the Smart Diagnosis™
Open the product door and place a phone on the speaker hole in the upper right corner.

Use this function if you need an accurate diagnosis by an LG Electronics service centre when the product malfunctions or fails. Use this function only to contact the service representative, not during normal operation.
The Smart Diagnosis™ sound is generated after around 3 seconds.

If the lock is already set, press the Child Lock button and hold it to release the lock and then press the Child Lock button and hold it again to reset.
The data transfer sound may be harsh to the ear while the Smart Diagnosis™ data is being transmitted, but do not take the phone off the speaker hole for accurate diagnosis until the data transfer sound has stopped.
Please note that the Smart Diagnosis™ function will not operate until 5 minutes have passed since the locking was set.
Press and hold the Fridge Temperature button for
3 seconds or longer. Only 3 °C will be lit on the control panel. The Smart Diagnosis™ function is automatically terminated, and the operation is returned to its original status 5 minutes after 3 °C is displayed on the control panel when the door is closed.
After the data transfer is complete, the service agent will explain the result of the Smart
Diagnosis™. When the data transfer is complete, the transfer completion message is displayed and the control panel is automatically turned off and then on again after a few seconds. After the counsellor explains the diagnosis result, take the recommended measures.
NOTE The Smart Diagnosis™ function depends on the local call quality.
The communication performance will improve and you can receive better service if you use the home phone. If the Smart Diagnosis™ data transfer is poor due to poor call quality, you may not receive the best Smart Diagnosis™ service.
Removing the Fridge Shelf
