Frequently Asked Questions - GO ONE CHICCO

How to fold the GO ONE electric wheelchair?
To fold the wheelchair, turn off the joystick then remove it and store it in the bag under the seat. Locate the black safety latch at the back of the backrest, flip the latch upward to unlock the frame. With one hand on the top frame and the other on the footrest, bring the two ends of the wheelchair together. You can also fold it with one hand by pushing the top part of the frame towards the ground. The wheelchair folds easily.
How to switch to manual mode (manual push)?
To switch to manual mode, move the red lever located inside each rear wheel motor forward until you hear a click. The wheels will then spin freely, allowing you to push the wheelchair like a manual wheelchair. Repeat on both wheels. To switch back to electric mode, pull the lever backward until you hear a click.
What to do if the joystick flashes or beeps?
Flashing and beeping are diagnostic codes. For example, 1 slow flash indicates the left motor is not connected; 2 flashes for the right motor; 3 flashes for a battery problem; 4 slow flashes for a loose left motor cable, etc. A short beep means you are trying to move before the wheelchair is ready. A beep in any direction indicates the wheels are in manual mode (push the red lever backward). Consult the code table in the manual for details.
What is the actual range of the wheelchair?
The stated maximum range is 25.7 km (16 miles) per battery. However, actual range may vary depending on user weight, terrain, temperature, and battery condition. It is recommended to recharge the batteries after each use to ensure optimal range.
How to charge the wheelchair batteries?
The batteries are already installed in the frame. To charge them, plug the included charger into the joystick socket, then connect the charger to a wall outlet. Both batteries charge simultaneously. Full charging time is approximately 5 hours. It is advised not to let the batteries fully discharge and to recharge them after each outing.
Can I use the wheelchair in the rain?
No, it is strictly not recommended to use the wheelchair in heavy rain or to go through puddles. Water can damage electrical components and the battery. Also avoid storing the wheelchair in a damp place. In light rain, protect the joystick and connections.
How to install the joystick on the armrest?
The joystick can be installed on the right or left armrest. Insert the joystick into the armrest tube, then tighten the screw bolt located under the armrest to hold it in place. Make sure the bolt is tight to avoid any movement during use.
What is the maximum weight supported by the wheelchair?
The maximum weight supported by the GO ONE wheelchair is 181 kg (400 lbs). Never exceed this limit as it could damage the wheelchair and compromise user safety.
How to release the brakes for manual pushing?
To release the electromagnetic brakes and switch to manual mode, push the red lever on each rear wheel motor forward until it clicks. The wheels will then spin freely. To lock them again (electric mode), pull the lever backward until it clicks. Make sure both levers are in the same position.
What to do in case of motor overheating?
If the joystick flashes 4 times quickly, it indicates overheating of the left motor; 5 times quickly for the right motor. In this case, unplug the cable of the affected motor for 30 seconds, then plug it back in. If the problem persists, contact customer service.
