Installing your new appliance

Before using the appliance for the first time, you should be aware of the following tips.

Ventilation of appliance

In order to improve efficiency of the cooling system and save energy, it is necessary to maintain good ventilation around the appliance for the dissipation of heat. For this reason, sufficient clear space should be available around the .freezer

It is advisable for there to be 75mm of space from the back to the wall, at least 100mm from its side to the wall.

Note

This appliance performs well in the climate class from SN to T or ST(Please refer to the climate type marked on the parameter nameplate on the appliance). It may not work properly if being left at a temperature above or below the indicated range for a long period.

Lay your appliance in a dry place to avoid high moisture damage. Keep the appliance out of direct sunlight, rain or frost. Stand the appliance away from heat sources such as stoves, fires or heaters.

Leveling of appliance

- For sufficient leveling and air circulating in the lower rear section of the appliance, the bottom feet may need to be adjusted. Please use a suitable spanner.

Installing your new appliance

Warning

- For proper installation, this refrigerator must be placed on a level surface of hard material that is the same height as the rest of the flooring. This surface should be strong enough to support a fully loaded.

Using your freezer compartment

• Compartment is suitable for storage of foods required to be frozen, such as meat, fish, ice cream and other perishable items.
• Caution! Ensure that bottles are not left in the freezer for longer than needed as freezing may cause the bottle break. Bottled or canned liquid are at risk of exploding caused by volume expansion and so should not be stored in the freezer compartment.

Before use

• Remove shipping package, tape, etc, and leave doors open for a while in order to ventilate the appliance. The unit is cleaned before shipment.
  • However, it is recommended to clean the compartment interior once after delivery.
• Please insert power supply plug into the wall outlet, type "grounded single-phase 220-240 V".
• Allow the unit to operate for about 1 hour to cool the compartment before placing items in the appliance.

Wait 5 minutes or more before re-starting

- Restarting the unit immediately after it has been turned off may cause fuses to blow and activate the circuit-breaker, the compressor may become overloaded, and/or other damage may occur.

Warning

• Do not use the unit to store water or food that requires water as a storage medium.
• Never place fresh seafood containing water into the unit directly.

Control panel

1. It is used to control operation mode of the refrigerator and is located in the front of the refrigerator.
2. Hint: Since the displayed setting temperature is not the actual temperature but the target temperature, the temperature inside the freezer will vary depending on the stored foods.
3. Unlocking:

3.1 When key locking icon of the refrigerator turns on, it means that keys of the refrigerator are locked, and adjustment of temperature and modes is unavailable. If the Refrigeration temperature setting button and freezing temperature setting button is pressed and held for about 3s at this moment, the locking indicator will turn off, keys will be unlocked, and the temperature and modes can be adjusted.

3.2 If no key is pressed within approximately 20s after 5 minutes of power on, the keys will be locked automatically. If no key is pressed within approximately 60s, the indicator will turn off. When any key is touched slightly at this time, the indicator will turn on again. The keys are not locked and the indicator turns on within 5 minutes after power on.

1. Mode switching and temperature adjustment

4.1 Mode switching:

4.1.1 After the refrigeration temperature setting button is pressed and held for about 3s in chiller mode when the keys are unlocked, the refrigerating mode will be enabled; and, refrigerating mode will be enabled when the refrigeration temperature setting button is pressed briefly in freezing mode;
4.1.2 After the refrigeration temperature setting button is pressed and held for about 3s in a mode other than mode when the keys are unlocked, chiller the chiller mode will be enabled; and after the refrigeration temperature setting button is pressed and held for about 3s in chiller mode, the chiller mode will be exited, and the refrigerating or freezing mode will be enabled;
4.1.3 After Freezing temperature setting is pressed briefly in a mode other than freezing mode when the keys are unlocked, the freezing mode will be enabled;
4.2 Temperature adjustment
4.2.1 Refrigerating temperature adjustment:

When the keys are unlocked, each time the refrigeration temperature setting button is pressed in refrigerating mode, the temperature display zone will change from current setting temperature in the following order:

" 5 → 4 → 3 → 2 → ... → 8 → 7 → 6 → 5".

4.2.2 Interchangeable temperature adjustment:

When the keys are unlocked, each time the refrigeration temperature setting button is pressed in chiller mode, the temperature display zone will change from current setting temperature in the following order:

" 0 → - 1 → - 2 → ... → - 1 2 → - 1 3 → 1 → 0".

4.2.3 Freezing temperature adjustment:

1. When the keys are unlocked, each time the freezing temperature setting button is pressed in chiller mode, the temperature display zone will change from current setting temperature in the following order:

" - 1 4 → - 1 5 → - 1 6 ... - 2 2 → - 2 3 → - 2 4 → - 1 4".

1. About 2s after the temperature setting is completed, the setting temperature flashes 5 times and the setting takes effect.

5. Quick-freezing mode switching

5.1 After the freezing temperature setting button is pressed and held for about 3s in a mode other than quick-freezing mode when the keys are unlocked, the quick-freezing mode will be enabled, “-25” will be displayed in temperature display zone and the quick-freezing icon turns on. If no key is pressed then, the “-25” in temperature display zone will flash 5 times and setting of quick-freezing mode takes effect; the temperature cannot be adjusted in quick-freezing mode. When the refrigeration temperature setting button and freezing temperature setting button is pressed briefly, the quick-freezing icon will flash 5 times to remind the user that the refrigerator is currently in quick-freezing mode;

5.2 After the freezing temperature setting button is pressed and held for about 3s in quick-freezing mode when the keys are unlocked, the quick-freezing mode will be exited, and the mode and setting temperature before entering into quick-freezing mode will be resumed.
5.3 After a period of continuous forced freezing in quick-freezing mode, the mode will be exited automatically and the original setting temperature will be followed during operation.

Note

• The Super Freeze mode allows for rapid refrigeration, but also increases power consumption.
• The refrigerator can automatically remember the state before power off in case of any power failure, and run according to the state before power off after resumption of power, in which the Super Freeze mode will not be remembered.

6. Alarm and handling

When "E1" is displayed in the temperature display zone, it means that temperature sensor of the refrigerator is out of order. Although the computer board will automatically control the operation, you shall contact the maintenance point for repair in time.

  • The door keys should be kept out of reach of children.

Cleaning and care

- For hygienic reasons the appliance (including exterior and interior accessories) should be cleaned regularly (at least every two months).

Warning

• The appliance must not be connected to the mains during cleaning. Danger of electrical shock!
• Before cleaning switch the appliance off and remove the plug from the mains socket.

Exterior cleaning

• To maintain good appearance of your appliance, you should clean it regularly.
• Wipe the digital panel and display panel with a clean, soft cloth.
• Spray water onto the cleaning cloth instead of spraying directly on the surface of the appliance. This helps ensure an even distribution of moisture to the surface.
• Clean the doors, handles and cabinet surfaces with a mild detergent and then wiped dry with a soft cloth.

• Do not use sharp objects as they are likely to scratch the surface. Do not use Thinner, Car detergent
• Clorox, ethereal oil, abrasive cleansers or organic solvent such as Benzene for cleaning. They may damage the surface of the appliance and may cause fire.

Interior cleaning

• You should clean the appliance interior regularly. It will be easier to clean when food stocks are low. You can remove the basket or shelves for a more thorough clean.
• Wipe the inside of the freezer with a weak solution of bicarbonate of soda, and then rinse with warm water using a wrung-out sponge or cloth. Wipe completely dry before replacing the basket or shelves.
• Thoroughly dry all surfaces and removable parts before putting them back into place.

Cleaning and care

Cleaning before use

- Before using the appliance for the first time, wash the interior and all internal accessories with lukewarm water and some neutral soap so as to remove the typical smell of a brand new product, then dry thoroughly.

Defrosting

- You should defrost the freezer compartment two or three times a year when the ice is about 4 mm thick. To defrost, follow these steps:

- Set the thermostat to Maximum gear at least 12 hours before defrosting.

- After this period has elapsed, switch of the freezer compartment by removing the plug from the mains supply.

- Remove all food from the freezer and wrap them in newspaper and store in a cold place and leave the door open.

- When the defrosting is finished must the compartment be cleaned and wiped dry.

- Switch the appliance back on using the thermostat set to Maximum gear, wait at least one hour before replacing the foodstuff.

- After some hours the thermostat can be set back to original position.

• Do not use mechanical devices or other artificial means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
• Do not use electrical appliance inside de food storage of the appliances, unless they are of the type recommended by the manufacturer.

Checks

• To ensure the safety, perform the following checks after cleaning the unit:
• Is the power cord plug firmly inserted into a dedicated wall outlet? Confirm that the plug is not abnormally hot.
• Check the power cord for cracks and damage. Should the slightest irregularity be observed, contact the dealer from whom you purchased this unit or our customer's service department.

Door seals cleaning

- Take care to keep door seals clean. Sticky food and drinks can cause seals to stick to the cabinet and tear when you open the door. Wash the seals with a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse and dry them thoroughly after cleaning.

• We recommend that you follow the tips to save energy.

- Try to avoid keeping the door open for long periods in order to conserve energy.

- Ensure the appliance is away from any sources of heat (Direct sunlight, electric oven or cooker etc.)

- Don't set the temperature colder than necessary.

- Don't store warm food or evaporating liquid in the appliance.

- Place the appliance in a well ventilated, humidity free room. Please refer to the installing your new appliance chapter.

- The description of appliance diagram shows the correct combination for the drawers, crisper basket and shelves, do not adjust the combination as this is designed to be the most energy efficient configuration.

Hints for fresh food refrigeration

- Do not place hot food directly into the refrigerator or freezer, the internal temperature will increase resulting in the compressor having to work harder and will consume more energy.

- Do cover or wrap the food, particularly if it has a strong flavor.

- Place food properly so that air can circulate freely around it.

Hints for fresh food refrigeration

• Ensure that frozen food has been stored correctly by the food retailer.
• Once defrosted, food will deteriorate rapidly and should not be re-frozen.
• Do not exceed the storage period indicated by the food manufacturer.

Moving the Chest Freezer

• Unplug the power plug and cut off the power.
• Remove all food from the freezer.
• Use tape to fix moving parts such as refrigerator shelves, fruit and vegetable boxes and drawers.
• Close the freezer door tightly and secure it with tape to prevent it from being opened when moving.
• When handling, the maximum inclination angle should not exceed 45° , so as to avoid the failure of the refrigeration system.
• In order to avoid scratching the floor, the feet or wheel of the freezer should be wrapped in advance, and it is forbidden to forcibly move the freezer.
• Do not hold the freezer door, top cover and various pipes when moving. the freezer upside down.

	Other unusual noises are due to the reasons below and may need you to check and take action:The cabinet is not level.The back of appliance touches the wall.Bottles or containers knocking against each other.
Inadequate refrigeration	Is the place of installation ventilated?Is the freezer exposed to direct sunlight, placed near a heater or stove?Are the lids opened and closed frequently?Are items stocked beyond the load line?Is a lot of frost forms in the freezer?

Troubleshooting

Problem	Possible cause & Solution
Condensation on cooler exterior	Condensation may condense on the exterior and door during hot and humid days or depending on the place of installation. This occurs when the humidity is high and water particles in the cold surfaces. This is normal. Wipe away condensation with a dry cloth.
The circumference of freezer feels hot	Especially in summer or in starting running, the circumference of freezer feels hot. Because freezer inside has a pipe for radiating and preventing condensation.The heat do not affect inside goods.
Power failure	Keep the opening and closing of the door for a minimum to prevent cold air from escaping.
	Avoid placing new items in the cooler as this will raise the temperature inside the compartment.
	In case of a long power suspension, place dry ice in the freezer.
Power cord problems	If the supply cord is damaged. It must be replace by a special cord or assembly available from the manufacturer or the service agent.
	The freezer must be positioned so that the plug is accessible.
When not used for along period	Remove all items from the compartment and disconnect the power cord plug from the wall outlet.
	Clean the compartment interior and wipe away all water.
	To prevent mold formation and foul odors, leave the door open to dry the compartment completely.
Transportation	Disconnect the power cord plug from the wall outlet.
	When moving the appliance, make sure that the feet do not damage the power cord.
	Do not let the feet hit against floor steps, thresholds, etc.

You can hear water bubbling in the freezer	This is normal. The bubbling comes from the refrigerant coolant liquid circulating through the .freezer
