Frequently Asked Questions - Hydrosteam 2000 Blaze CECOTEC

How do I fill the water tank?
Unplug the appliance, remove the tank, open the cap and pour cold tap water up to the MAX mark. Do not exceed this level.
Can the Hydrosteam 2000 Blaze be used on parquet flooring?
Yes, provided you use a suitable microfiber mop pad and do not leave the steam in prolonged contact with the same spot. Test on an inconspicuous area first.
How do I descale the boiler?
Mix a solution of white vinegar and water (1/3 vinegar, 2/3 water), fill the tank with it, heat the appliance and operate the steam until it is exhausted. Then rinse with clean water.
What should I do if steam is not coming out?
Check that the appliance is properly heated, that the tank contains water, and that the nozzle is not blocked. If the problem persists, descale the boiler.
Does the appliance have an automatic shut-off?
Yes, the Hydrosteam 2000 Blaze automatically switches off if the temperature becomes too high or if the tank is empty, for your safety.
Which microfiber mop pad should I use?
Preferably use a replacement microfiber mop pad specially designed for this model, with a secure attachment system. It is washable and reusable.
Can cleaning products be added to the water?
No, use only water. Adding detergent or fragrance can damage the boiler and void the warranty.
How should I store the appliance?
Let the appliance cool down completely, empty the tank, coil the cable and store it upright or flat in a dry, dust-free place.
Is this appliance suitable for cleaning carpets?
Yes, the carpet function reduces the steam flow rate. Use the carpet adapter and slow movements for a deep clean without soaking the fabric.
How do I change the water tank?
Turn off and unplug the appliance, remove the tank by pressing the release button, fill it or replace it with a compatible spare tank, then click it back into place.

3. OPERATION

  1. Filling the tank: place the steam cleaner on a level surface. Open the safety cap by turning it counterclockwise. Using the funnel and measuring cup, fill with water and reinstall and tighten the safety cap. Fig. 3

Filling instructions

  • Maximum tank capacity: 400 ml. To obtain drier vapor, it is recommended to load 300–350 ml. If more than 350 ml is added, water may escape with the steam during the first 2 minutes.
  • Do not add less than 150 ml of water.
  • Use clean water; solid particles can obstruct the ducts.
  • Do not add alcohol or chemical/cleaning agents. Solvents can cause serious failures and even safety hazards.
  • If tap water is very hard, mix with distilled water to avoid premature calcification and nozzle clogging.

  • Connect the power plug. The indicator light illuminates red (heating and pressure increase). Wait approx. 3 minutes until it turns green: the device is ready.

Caution:

  • Use the device only when the indicator light is green.
  • During initial use, water droplets may be expelled; avoid cleaning carpets, curtains, or other absorbent materials until the steam stabilises.

  • After heating, select the required accessory and install it in the steam outlet.

  • Turn the child safety lock to the ON position (backwards) and then press the steam trigger. Steam is released as long as the steam trigger is held down. When the steam trigger is released, the child lock automatically returns to OFF and the appliance stops. Note: Without activating the child safety lock, it is not possible to press the steam trigger.
  • When finished, turn off, release residual steam, allow to cool and clean if necessary.

When the water runs out and steam stops coming out when the steam trigger is activated, proceed to refill by following these steps:

  1. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
  2. Press the steam trigger until the steam output stops.
  3. Wait at least 12-18 minutes to cool.
  4. Slowly unscrew the safety cap and wait a few seconds.
  5. Fill water slowly through the filler hole.
  6. Close the safety cap.

Overheating protection: the unit switches off automatically if it overheats (e.g. empty tank).
