Before using the appliance, read the following instructions carefully. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.
- When using electrical and electronic appliances, basic precautions must always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, and injury.
This symbol means “caution, hot surface.” The accessible surfaces of the appliance may reach high temperatures during operation. Be careful not to burn yourself. - The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- Check the power cable regularly for visible damage. If the cable is damaged, it must be repaired by the official Cecotec Technical Support Service to avoid any type of danger.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by children unless they are over 8 years old and are under supervision.
- Keep this appliance and its power cable out of reach of children under the age of 8.
- Supervise children to prevent them from playing with the appliance. Close supervision is necessary if the appliance is used by or near children.

This appliance is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.

Place the appliance on a dry, stable, heat-resistant surface. Position the appliance in such a way to avoid spillage of hot liquids. Be especially careful with the handle.
- Do not immerse the cable, plug, or any other non-removable part of the device in water or any other liquid or expose electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the device.
- Make sure the voltage of your mains supply matches the voltage requirements specified in the rating label of the appliance.
- We recommend that the room where you intend to use the appliance is equipped with a working extractor fan or is well ventilated.
- Use the appliance only for the purposes described in this instruction manual. Any other use is not recommended by the manufacturer and could have a detrimental effect on the lifespan of the appliance and/or the safety of the user.
- Unplug the appliance from the mains supply before moving it, carrying out any cleaning or maintenance task, or when not in use.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not twist, bend, pull, or damage the power cable. Protect it from sharp edges and heat sources. Do not allow the cable to touch hot surfaces. Do not let the cable hang over the edge of the working surface or worktop.
- Do not use the appliance if its cable, plug, or housing are damaged, nor after it malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any way.
- The appliance should not be used in potentially dangerous locations, such as flammable, explosive, chemical-laden, or wet atmospheres.
- Do not insert or allow fingers or foreign objects to enter any
ventilation or exhaust openings, as it could cause electrical shock or fire.
- Unplug the appliance from the outlet when not in use or during cleaning. Allow it to cool down completely before attaching or removing parts and before cleaning the appliance.
- Do not leave the appliance unsupervised while plugged to the mains.
- Do not touch the surface of the appliance when in operation, as it will become hot when in use.
- Cleaning and maintenance must be carried out according to this instruction manual to make sure the appliance operates properly.
- Do not place the appliance against the wall. Leave a safety distance of 10 cm on the back of the appliance and 10 cm on each side. Do not place any object on top of the appliance when in use.
- Do not use the appliance for any use other than the one specified in this manual.
- Do not try to repair the appliance by yourself.

2. BEFORE USE
- This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the appliance when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
- Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.
- Clean the heating plates of the grill with a wet sponge or cloth.
- Dry the heating griddles with a cloth or paper towel.
- For optimal results, cover both heating griddles with some oil.
- You may notice a slight burning smell or smoke when using the grill for the first time, caused by the excess of lubricants from the manufacturing process. This does not affect the safety of the appliance.
3. OPERATION
- Close the grill and plug it to the mains. The indicator light will switch on, indicating that the grill has started preheating.
- It will take approximately 2 minutes for the grill to reach the right cooking temperature. When the temperature is reached, the indicator light will turn off.

Open the press grill, put the sandwich, meat, or desired food on the bottom plate.

Close the grill. The indicator light will turn on and turn off again when the cooking temperature is reached.
- Cook food for 3 to 8 minutes or until golden brown. Adjust the time to your liking.
- Use the handle to open the grill and remove the food with the help of a silicone spatula. Do not use metal utensils, as these can damage the non-stick coating of the heating plates.
- Once you have finished cooking, unplug the grill, and leave it open to let the plates cool down.
4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Unplug the appliance and let it cool down before cleaning. The appliance is easier to clean when slightly warm. Do not immerse the product in water or wash it in the dishwasher.
- Wipe the heating plates with a soft cloth to remove food residue. If any food has stuck to the heating plates, pour a bit of warm water mixed with detergent over the food residue and clean the plates with a non-abrasive scouring pad.
- Do not use abrasive materials that could scratch or damage the non-stick coating of the plates.
- Wipe the outside of the grill with a damp cloth only. Do not clean the outside with any abrasive scouring pad, as this will damage the finish. Do not immerse it in water or any other liquid.
- Do not wash the appliance in the dishwasher.
- Remove and empty the grease-collection tray after each use. Wash the tray in hot, soapy water. Avoid the use of scouring pads or harsh detergents, as they may damage the surface. Rinse and dry thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth, and put it back in place.
- Store the appliance in a dry and cool place.
- The power cord can be wound around the base of the product for storage.

6. DISPOSAL OF OLD ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC APPLIANCES
