Frequently Asked Questions - L6FBP843G AEG

What is the maximum load capacity of the AEG L6FBP843G?
The maximum load capacity is 8 kg of dry laundry. This is ideal for families and helps reduce the number of cycles needed each week.
How does ProSense technology adapt the wash cycle?
The washing machine automatically weighs the laundry at the start of the cycle with ProSense, then adjusts the time, water, and electricity consumption to match the exact load. This gives perfect results without wasting resources.
What is SteamCare and can it replace ironing?
SteamCare injects steam during or after the cycle to relax fibres and remove creases. It significantly reduces ironing effort, but heavy creases still require ironing. It is also excellent for refreshing clothes.
Can I install the L6FBP843G under a kitchen countertop?
Yes, this freestanding washing machine can be installed under a worktop. Remove the worktop panel (if applicable), check the dimensions, and use the anti-slip pad to ensure stability. Leave the required ventilation gaps.
How often should I clean the drain pump filter?
Clean the drain pump filter every 3 months to avoid clogging and poor drainage. Place a towel under the lower flap, unscrew the cap, remove fluff and objects, then reinstall the cap securely.
What does the unbalanced load detection do?
If the drum is unbalanced, the machine will distribute the laundry to retry spinning. This protects the bearing and the drum. To avoid it, mix small and large items and do not overload the drum.
Which detergent drawer compartments are available?
The drawer has three compartments: one for prewash, one for main wash, and one for fabric softener. Use low-foam detergents suitable for front-loaders.
How do I activate the child lock?
Press the two buttons indicated in the manual simultaneously for three seconds. The key symbol shows on the display. This prevents accidentally changing a running programme.
Is the motor quiet and energy efficient?
Yes, the appliance uses an inverter motor which works with a variable speed system. It is quieter, more durable, and consumes less electricity than a conventional motor, especially during spin cycles.
How long are spare parts available for this model?
AEG guarantees the availability of functional spare parts for at least 10 years after the purchase date. The user manual lists the part numbers and authorised service centres can supply them.

  • Do not wash laundry without hems or with cuts. Use a washing bag to wash small and/or delicate items (e.g. underwired bras, belts, tights, etc.).
  • A very small load can cause balance problems with the spin phase leading to excessive vibration. If this occurs:
    a. interrupt the programme and open the door (refer to "Opening the door when a programme or the delay start operates");
    b. manually redistribute the load so that the items are spaced evenly around the tub;
    c. press the Start/Pause button. The spin phase continues.

11.2 Stubborn stains

For some stains, water and detergent is not sufficient.
