Frequently Asked Questions - HD 9482 GRUNDIG

How do I use the cool shot function?
Press and hold the cool shot button to release a burst of cool air. This helps to set your hairstyle after drying or to cool down the hair before finishing.
Can I use the hairdryer on curly hair without a diffuser?
Yes, but using the diffuser is recommended to reduce frizz and enhance natural curls. The diffuser disperses air more evenly and gently, preventing curl damage.
How often should I clean the filter?
Clean the rear filter at least once a month, or when you notice reduced airflow. A clogged filter can cause overheating and reduce the lifespan of the dryer.
Is the diffuser suitable for fine hair?
Absolutely. The diffuser helps to spread airflow and reduces blowout speed, which is ideal for fine hair. It adds volume without disturbing the hair cuticle.
What does the ionic function do?
The ionic technology emits negative ions that break down water molecules, helping to dry hair faster. It also reduces static electricity and friction, leaving hair smooth and shiny.
Can I use the hairdryer with a voltage converter?
The dryer is designed for 220-240 V. If you are in a country with a different voltage, you will need an appropriate voltage converter and plug adapter to avoid damage to the motor.
How do I remove the filter for cleaning?
Ensure the dryer is unplugged and cool. Gently unsnap or twist the rear filter cover, depending on the model. Wash the filter with warm soapy water, dry thoroughly, and reattach.
What is the best way to dry long thick hair quickly?
Use the high heat and speed settings with the concentrator nozzle. Aim at the roots and work downwards. Finally, use the cool shot to seal the hair cuticles and lock in shine.
Does the hairdryer have overheating protection?
Yes, it is equipped with a built-in safety thermostat that automatically cuts off power if the temperature gets too high. If this happens, unplug it, and let it cool down before restarting.
Where can I purchase spare parts like a diffuser or filter?
Spare parts for the Grundig HD 9482 can be ordered through Grundig customer service or authorized service centers. Visit the official website to find the right part and compatible accessories.
