SOMMAIRE

Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users. Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating label of the appliance and that the wall outlet is grounded.

The appliance shall be installed in accordance with national wiring regulations.

This product is designed only for household use.

The appliance shall be installed, operated and stored in a room with a floor area larger than 12 m2.

Place the machine in a flat and dry place and keep a distance of above 50 cm between the machine and the surrounding objects or walls.

After the air conditioning is installed, ensure that the power

plug is intact and firmly plugged into the power outlet. Place the power cord orderly to prevent someone from being tripped or pulling out the plug.

Check the power cord regularly for visible damage. If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec in order to avoid any type of danger.

To avoid electric shocks, do not clean with or allow to get inside the product: water, liquid or any flammable substance.

Do not immerse the cord, plug, or any non-removable part of the appliance in water or any other liquid, nor expose the electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.

Switch off the device immediately in the event of defects or malfunctions.

Do not use the device if its cord or any other part is damaged. In this case, contact the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.

Do not install the device near heat-generating appliances, flammable, dangerous materials, or in places where temperature or humidity levels are high.

Do not use insecticide sprays or other flammable substances near the air conditioning.

The device must be placed so that the plug is accessible.

Do not sit or stand on the device.

Do not use outdoors.

Do not pull on the plug to disconnect the appliance.

When moving the machine, make sure that it is in an upright position.

Do not insert fingers or other objects in the air inlet or outlet to prevent injuries and product damage.

Do not use means to accelerate the defrosting process or to clean, other than those recommended by Cecotec.

Do not pierce or burn.

Servicing shall be performed only as recommended by Cecotec.

Be aware that refrigerants may not contain an odour.

Do not twist, bend, strain, or damage the power cord in any way. Protect it from sharp edges and heat sources. Do not let it touch hot surfaces. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the surface.

Regularly clean the plug with a dry cloth to prevent dust from building up and to avoid product damage.

This appliance cannot be used by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge. Do not allow children to play with the appliance.

Storage of equipment/appliances

The storage of equipment should be in accordance with Cecotec's instructions.

Storage of packed (unsold) equipment

Storage package protection should be constructed such that mechanical damage to the equipment inside the package will not cause a leak of the refrigerant charge.

The maximum number of pieces of equipment permitted to be

stored together will be determined by local regulations.

Battery instructions

Keep batteries away from children and animals, they could be deadly if swallowed. In case of ingestion, seek medical assistance immediately.

Should a battery have leaked, do not allow your skin, eyes or mucous membranes to come into contact with the battery acid.

Warning: In case of contact with acid, rinse the affected areas with abundant fresh water immediately and contact a doctor as soon as possible.

Make sure the battery contacts in the device are clean before inserting batteries; if they are not, clean them.

Use only the battery types specified in the technical specifications.

Always change all batteries at the same time and do not use different batteries of different types or different capacity.

When replacing batteries, note the correct polarity (+/-).

Take the batteries out of the device when they are discharged or when the device is not going to be used in a long time.

Batteries must not be recharged or reactivated, dismantled, thrown into fire, immersed in fluids or short-circuited.

2. BEFORE USE

Take the product out of the box.

Remove all packaging material Keep the original box.

Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If any sign of visible damage is observed, contact immediately with our official Technical Support Service.

3. PRODUCT INSTALLATION

Note: Do not install and use the air conditioning in the bathroom or other humid environments.

Warning: Before using the mobile air conditioning, keep it upright for at least two hours. When

moving it from one place to another, always do it with the device in an upright position and leaving it in a flat surface.

Drainage pipe assembly installation

Take out the outer connector assembly and the exhaust pipe assembly and remove the plastic bags

Insert one end of the exhaust pipe into the back panel vent slot (push to the left) and complete the assembly.

Install the window sealing plate

Half open the window and mount the window sealing plate to the window.

The assembly can be placed in horizontal and vertical direction.

Join the window sealing plate components, adjust the opening distance for both ends to come into contact with the window frame and fix both parts by the union element.

Note:

The flat end of the exhaust pipe joints must be snapped into place.

The pipe cannot be distorted nor has substantial turning (greater than 45° ). Keep the ventilation of the exhaust pipe clear.

Install the body

Move the machine with installed heat pipe and fittings before the window, and the distance between the body and walls or other objects shall be least 50 cm.

Elongate the exhaust pipe and snap the flat end of the exhaust pipe joints into the hole of the window sealing plate.

Note:

The flat end of the exhaust pipe joints must be snapped into place.

Warning:

The length of the exhaust pipe shall be 28-150 cm, and this length is based on the specifications of the air conditioning. Do not use extension tubes or replace the pipe with other different pipes, or this may cause a malfunction. The exhaust pipe must be clear of obstructions; otherwise it may cause overheating.

On/off

When the device is turned on, it will beep and enter standby mode. Touch the power key to turn the device on and off.

Mode

Press the mode key to switch from cooling – fan – dehumidification.

Sleep mode

Under the cooling mode, press the increase and decrease keys to activate the Sleep mode. The device will operate saving energy and silently.

Increase and decrease

Use these keys to increase or decrease temperature and time.

Temperature cannot be increased or decreased in the fan or dehumidifying modes.

Fan speed

Under the cooling mode, press the key to select high or low wind speed operation.

This option is not available under the dehumidification mode.

Timer

Press this key to set the timer. When the timer symbol blinks, use the increase and decrease keys to select the desired operating time.

The timer can be set from 1 to 24 hours, and the digits increase and decrease by 1 hour.

Press the power button to turn the device on or off.

Press this button to set the timer.

Decrease (3)

Press this button to decrease temperature and time.

Increase (5)

Press this button to increase temperature and time.

Mode (4)

Press the mode button to switch from cooling – fan – dehumidification.

Fan (6)

Press the fan button to select high or low fan speed.

Sleep mode (7)

Press the Sleep mode button to activate this mode.

Drainage instructions

When the device stops operating because the water tank is full, turn it off and unplug it from the power supply.

Note: Move the device carefully, so as not to spill the water in the water tank at the bottom of the body.

Place a container below the water outlet behind the body.

Unscrew the drainage cover and unplug the water plug, the water will automatically flow into a container.

Note:

Keep the drainage cover and the water plug properly.

During drainage, the body can be tilted slightly backwards.

If the water container cannot hold all the water, before the water container is full, stuff the water outlet with the water plug as soon as possible to prevent water from flowing to the floor or the carpet.

When the water is discharged, stuff the water plug, and tighten the drainage cover.

Restart the machine after the water plug and drainage cover are installed, otherwise condensate water of the machine will flow to the floor or the carpet.

Unscrew the drainage cover and unplug the water plug.

Set the drainage pipe into the water outlet.

Connect the drainage hose to a bucket or big container.

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Turn off and unplug the product from the power supply before cleaning or repairing it.

Use a soft, dry (or slightly damp) cloth with some neutral cleaning agent to clean the product's outside and prevent the accumulation of dust and dirt.

If the product is not going to be used for a long time, store it in a safe and well-ventilated place.

Do not use detergent, scouring pads, chemically-treated cloths, gasoline, benzene, alcohol, thinner, or other solvents, as these can scratch and damage the tank and cause water leakage.

Do not immerse the product in water or other liquid.

Cleaning the filter

If the filter is clogged with dust, the effectiveness of the air conditioning will be reduced. Make sure to clean the filter once every two weeks.

Cleaning the upper filter screen frame

Unscrew one screw fixed by the EVA filter and back housing with a screwdriver and take out the EVA filter.

Put the EVA filter screen into warm water with neutral detergent (about 40 °C / 104 °C) and dry it in the shade after rinsing clean.

Storage

Store the device in well ventilated areas.

Unscrew the drainage cover, unplug the water plug, and discharge the water in the water tank into other water containers or directly tilt the body to discharge the water into other containers.

Turn on the machine, adjust it to low-wind ventilation mode, and maintain this state until the drainage pipe becomes dry. This way, you will keep the inside of the body in a dry state and prevent it from mildewing.

Turn off the machine, unplug the power plug, and wrap the power cord around the wrapping post. Install the water plug and the drainage cover.

Remove the exhaust pipe and keep it properly.

Cover the air conditioning with a plastic bag. Put the air conditioning in a dry place, keep it out of the reach of children, and take dust control measures.

Remove batteries of the remote control and keep them properly.

Ensure that the body is placed in a dry place and keep all machine components properly.

Maintenance

Any person who is involved with working on or breaking into a refrigerant circuit should hold a current valid certificate from an industry-accredited assessment authority, which authorises their competence to handle refrigerants safely in accordance with an industry recognised assessment specification.

8. DISPOSAL OF OLD ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES

The European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), specifies that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of with the normal unsorted municipal waste. Old appliances must be collected separately, in order to optimise the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain and reduce the impact on human health and the environment.

The crossed out "wheeled bin" symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation to dispose of the appliance correctly.

Consumers must contact their local authorities or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of old appliances and/or their batteries.

9. TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND WARRANTY

This product is under warranty for 2 years from the date of purchase, as long as the proof of purchase is submitted, the product is in perfect physical condition, and it has been given proper use, as explained in this instruction manual.

The warranty will not cover the following situations:

The product has been used for purposes other than those intended for it, misused, beaten, exposed to moisture, immersed in liquid or corrosive substances, as well as any other fault attributable to the customer.

The product has been disassembled, modified, or repaired by persons, not authorised by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.

Faults deriving from the normal wear and tear of its parts, due to use.

The warranty service covers every manufacturing defects of your appliance for 2 years, based on current legislation, except consumable parts. In the event of misuse, the warranty will not apply.
