Frequently Asked Questions - HUS-WC72S Husky

How do I adjust the temperature inside the Husky HUS-WC72S refrigerator?
Turn the dial thermostat located inside the refrigerator compartment. A higher number indicates a colder temperature, while a lower number makes it less cold. Wait 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize after adjusting.
Why is my refrigerator not cooling properly?
Check if the condenser coils are dirty and clean them if necessary. Ensure the door seals completely and no warm air is entering. Also verify that the thermostat is set correctly and the appliance has adequate ventilation around it.
Can I reverse the door opening direction on the HUS-WC72S?
Yes, the door is reversible. You can move the hinges and handle to the opposite side. Refer to the manual for step-by-step instructions. Make sure the refrigerator is unplugged before starting.
How often should I defrost the freezer?
The HUS-WC72S is a manual defrost model. Defrost when frost buildup reaches about 5-8 mm. Turn off the appliance, remove all food, and allow the frost to melt. Do not use sharp tools to scrape ice.
What is the recommended temperature for storing food?
For optimal freshness, keep the refrigerator compartment between 2°C and 8°C. The coldest area is usually the bottom shelf above the crisper. Use a separate thermometer to verify temperatures.
How do I clean the interior of my refrigerator?
Unplug the refrigerator and remove all food. Wash the interior with a solution of warm water and baking soda (2 tablespoons per liter). Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
My refrigerator is making unusual noises. Is that normal?
Some sounds are normal, such as clicking from the thermostat and gurgling from refrigerant flow. However, a loud buzzing or rattling may indicate the compressor or fan is loose. Check that the refrigerator is level and not vibrating against walls.
What does the climate class N-ST mean?
The climate class indicates the ambient temperature range for optimal operation. N-ST means the refrigerator works properly in surrounding temperatures from 16°C to 38°C. Operating outside this range may reduce performance.
Can I replace the door gasket myself?
Yes, the door gasket is replaceable. Purchase a genuine Husky replacement gasket, then pry off the old one and press the new one into the groove. Ensure no gaps remain for an airtight seal. Unplug the appliance before doing this.
How do I increase the energy efficiency of my refrigerator?
Place the refrigerator away from heat sources like ovens and direct sunlight. Keep the condenser coils dust-free, and ensure the door closes tightly. Avoid overfilling so air can circulate. Set the thermostat to medium for everyday use.

PRESERVE THE TASTE

UNDER LOCK & KEY

The natural ageing process of wine varies depending on the environment in which it is stored.

In order to preserve the true flavour of your wine, both red and white wines should be stored between 12-14°C. There should be no vibration in the racks, no excessive UV light and a controlled humidity level. All these things are hard to control in the open air. This is where the Husky Vino Pro Wine Cabinet range comes into play, allowing you to control all these aspects as well as chill them to their ideal serving temperature.

THE KEYS TO PRESERVING THE NATURAL TASTE OF WINE

Simple icon of a thermometer with heat lines, no text or symbols present

TEMPERATURE

Although varying temperatures are used for serving, all wines should be stored between 12°C - 14°C. Storing your wine outside of these temperatures can spoil the natural taste.

HUMIDITY

Storing wine at lower than 50% humidity can lead to the cork drying out and shrinking. This can lead to air entering inside of the wine bottle leading to oxidation and odours.

Simple white light bulb icon on maroon background, no text or symbols present

LIGHTING

High amounts of light, particularly damaging UV rays can effect the natural colour and tannins within your wine. This can lead to damaging hydrogen sulphide compounds developing within the wine.

Simple white waveform icon on red background with right-pointing arrow (no text or symbols)

VIBRATIONS

Slight vibrations can accelerate the natural ageing process of wines and lead to a deterioration in flavour and an overall lack of quality.

AIRFLOW

A lack of airflow within a wine cabinet can lead to poor ventilation, stale air and sometimes mould. Active carbon filters help to eliminate odours that can develop within the wine cabinet.
