Frequently Asked Questions - SDA1806 DAEWOO

How do I fill the water tank?
Open the water inlet cover, tilt the iron and fill with distilled or demineralised water to the MAX level. Do not exceed the maximum capacity of 250 ml.
What type of water should I use?
Use normal tap water if it is not too hard; for hard water areas, mix with distilled water or use demineralised water to prevent scale build-up.
How do I select the correct temperature?
Check the clothing care label and turn the temperature dial to the appropriate setting, starting from low for synthetics to high for cotton and linen.
What is the anti-drip system?
The anti-drip system automatically stops water leaking from the soleplate when the temperature is too low, preventing water spots on clothes.
How do I use the self-cleaning function?
Fill the tank to MAX, set the temperature to high, unplug the iron, hold it over a sink, and press the self-clean button. Steam and water will flush out scale and impurities.
Can I use the iron vertically?
Yes, the vertical steaming function allows you to remove wrinkles from hanging clothes, curtains, and upholstery without laying the fabric flat.
Why is my iron not producing steam?
Ensure the tank has water, the temperature is set high enough for steam, and the steam control is open. If using tap water, scale may block the vents; use the self-cleaning function.
How do I clean the soleplate?
Wait for the iron to cool completely, then wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive pads and chemicals.
What safety features does the SDA1806 have?
The iron features auto shut-off which turns the power off after 30 seconds when left soleplate down or after 8 minutes on its heel, ensuring safety at home.
How do I store the iron?
After use, empty the water tank, allow the iron to cool completely, wrap the cord loosely around the base, and store in an upright position.
