Frequently Asked Questions - HG755521FM AEG
How do I connect the cooker to the gas supply?
Connect the inlet with a certified rubber hose or rigid pipe. The gas connection is a G1/2 threaded inlet. Use sealing tape and always fit a valve. For LPG, replace the injectors and adjust the air regulator.
Can this cooker run on LPG?
Yes, the cooker is factory set for natural gas but can be converted to LPG by replacing the burner injectors and adjusting the pressure regulator. See the manual for specifications.
What is the oven capacity?
The oven volume is approximately 65 litres, sufficient for full roasts and multiple trays.
How do I light the oven?
Open the oven door, press the oven knob and turn it to the maximum flame symbol. Simultaneously press the ignition button (or lift the knob if integrated). After the flame ignites, keep the knob pressed for about 10 seconds to activate the safety device.
Why does the flame go out spontaneously?
This usually means the thermocouple is not heated sufficiently. Keep the knob pressed for 10 seconds after ignition. Also check that the burner parts are clean and the thermocouple tip is not damaged or covered.
How should I clean the gas hob?
Remove the pan supports, burner caps and crowns. Wash them with warm soapy water, rinse and dry completely. Wipe the hob surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Never use abrasive pads or steel wool.
What is the flame failure safety device?
It is a thermocouple that stops the gas flow if the flame goes out, preventing leaks. If the flame is not lit, the gas supply is automatically cut off.
How do I replace the oven light?
Disconnect the cooker from the mains. Remove the glass cover by rotating it counter-clockwise, replace the bulb (400°C type, 25 W) and refit the cover. Then reconnect the power.
Is a voltage supply needed for the gas cooktop?
Only the electric ignition and interior light require 220-240 V AC. The cooker must be earthed. The ignition consumes very little electricity.
Where can I find spare parts?
Contact AEG customer service or authorized distributors. The model HG755521FM is repairable for at least 10 years. You can order original parts using the model number.
