SOMMAIRE

Never insert fingers, pencils or other objects through the grill when the appliance is running.

All safety instructions should be closely followed when using the appliance.

Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating label of the appliance.

Warning: Do not immerse the cord, plug, or any non-removable part of the appliance in water or any other liquid, nor expose the electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.

Warning: If the appliance falls accidentally in water, unplug it immediately. Do not reach into the water!

Check the power cord regularly for visible damage. If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec, in order to avoid any type of danger.

Do not pull or carry the appliance by the cord. Do not use the cord as a handle. Do not pull the cord along sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over the cord. Keep the cord away from hot surfaces.

No not use the appliance if its cord, plug, or housing is damaged, nor after it malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any way.

Do not use the appliance in confined spaces with explosive or toxic vapours.

Keep your fan away from heat sources.

Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and other parts of the body away from the openings and moving parts of the appliance.

Do not leave the appliance unattended while in use. Do not try to repair the appliance by yourself. Contact the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec for advice.

Switch off and unplug from wall outlet when not in use, when

moving the appliance from one location to another or before assembling or disassembling parts. To avoid a tripping hazard, safely coil the cable.

Cleaning and maintenance must be carried out according to this instruction manual to make sure the appliance functions properly. Turn off and unplug the appliance before cleaning it.

Cleaning and maintenance tasks must not be carried out by children.

Store the appliance and its instruction manual in a safe and dry place when not in use.

Make sure the fan is not placed near drapes, curtains, or any objects that may be drawn into the fan

Do not run cord under carpeting and do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners or the like. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.

Use the fan in a well-ventilated area. While using, distance of no less than 20 cm should be kept away from wall or corner to ensure the air intakes.

The appliance is not intended to be used by children under the age of 8. It can be used by children over the age of 8, as long as they are given continuous supervision.

This appliance is not intended to be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way by a person responsible for their safety, and understand the hazards involved.

Supervise young children to make sure that they do not play with the appliance. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is being used by or near children.

Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children under the age of 8.

Battery instructions.

Keep batteries away from children and animals, they could be deadly if swallowed. In case of ingestion, seek medical assistance immediately.

Should a battery have leaked, do not allow your skin, eyes or mucous membranes to come into contact with the battery acid. In case of contact with acid, rinse the affected areas with abundant fresh water immediately and contact a doctor as soon as possible.

Make sure the battery contacts in the device are clean before inserting batteries; if they are not, clean them.

Use only the battery types specified in the technical specifications. Always replace all the batteries at the same time. Do not use different types of batteries or of different capacities.

When replacing batteries, note the correct polarity (+/-).

Take the batteries out of the device when they are discharged or when the device is not going to be used in a long time.

Batteries must not be recharged or reactivated, dismantled, thrown into fire, immersed in fluids or short-circuited.

3. BEFORE USE

Take the product out of the box.

Remove all packaging materials. Keep the original box.

Make sure all the components are included and in good conditions, otherwise, contact immediately the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.

Take out the electric fan from the packing carton and examine the grills and blades, cables and other components, whether they are in good conditions or damaged.

In order to use it safety:

The power must be in accordance with the label in this fan.

The power supply must be correctly installed.

The product cord fits correctly into the power supply.

4. PRODUCT ASSEMBLY

To install de blades, attach the rear grid (7) to the motor (5) and fix it by screwing the grid fastener (8) anticlockwise. Place the blades (9) at the centre position and fix the properly with the fan fastener (10). Assemble the front grid (12) and fix it by tightening the shroud ring (13) and its screw.

Once the blades are assembled, you may screw it directly onto the base (16) to use it as a desktop fan or attach it to the pole (15) and screw onto onto the base (16) to use it as a pedestal fan.

5. OPERATION

Install the fan on a dry, stable surface.

Plug the device into a power supply.

Oscillation(1)

Press the oscillation button to activate the oscillation function.

Timer (2)

Press the timer button repeatedly to select the operating time: 1, 2 or 4 hours.

Mode (3)

Press the mode button to select the fan mode: Normal, Natural or Sleep.

Fan speed (4)

Press this button to select the desired fan speed: 1, 2 or 3.

Power switch (5)

All these functions and modes can also be operated from the remote control.

6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Disconnect the appliance from the power supply and allow it to cool down before cleaning.

Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the product's surface.

Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.

Do not use abrasive scouring pads, powders or cleaners to clean the plastic components as these, could be deformed or damaged.

Don't use a wet cloth to clean the motor unit. Keep the fan clean and store it in dry place to avoid moisture.

It is advisable to use a neutral detergent and a soft cloth and also to rub softly. Do not use solvents, acidic detergents, petrol or alcohol etc., to clean the plastic components as these, could be deformed or damaged.

Use a vacuum cleaner to remove the dust from the safety grill. Never take the safety grill away.

Do not allow water to get into the motor during cleaning.

7. TROUBLESHOOTING

When starting the fan, the fan blade does not work:

Check whether the power plug is properly inserted into the power supply.

Check if the cover has distorted or has touched the fan blade.

If the fan makes noises once it is powered on, check the following:

The fan blade has been fight installed into the output shaft of motor.

Groove on back of cover has matched the inserting groove on to the output shaft.

The fan blades are defective.

The cover has distorted after touching the fan blade.

9. DISPOSAL OF OLD ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES

The European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), specifies that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of with the normal unsorted municipal waste. Old appliances must be collected separately, in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain and reduce the impact on human health and the environment.

The crossed out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation to dispose of the appliance correctly. If the product has a built-in battery or uses batteries, they should be removed from the appliance and disposed of appropriately.

Consumers must contact their local authorities or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of old appliances and/or their batteries.

10. TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICE AND WARRANTY

This product is under warranty for 2 years from the date of purchase, as long as the proof of purchase is submitted, the product is in perfect physical condition, and it has been given proper use, as explained in this instruction manual.

The warranty will not cover the following situations:

The product has been used for purposes other than those intended for it, misused, beaten, exposed to moisture, immersed in liquid or corrosive substances, as well as any other fault attributable to the customer.

The product has been disassembled, modified, or repaired by persons, not authorised by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.

Faults deriving from the normal wear and tear of its parts, due to use.

The warranty service covers every manufacturing defects of your appliance for 2 years, based on current legislation, except consumable parts. In the event of misuse, the warranty will not apply.
