How do you assemble the Cecotec Forcesilence 1020 ceiling fan?

For assembly, fix the fan bracket to the base using the screws and the mounting plate. Adjust the height with the knob. Place the fan body onto the bracket and secure it with the adjustment knob. Install the rear grille onto the motor shaft, place the large and small blades, and finish with the front grille. Make sure that all parts are firmly attached before use.

What operating modes does it have and how are they selected?

The fan has 3 modes: Normal, Eco and Night. They are selected using the mode button on the control panel or the remote control. The indicator light will turn on according to the active mode.

How is the fan speed adjusted?

You can select between 6 different speeds by pressing the speed button. Each press increases or decreases the speed; the speed indicator light will turn on when activated.

How does the timer work?

The timer allows you to program automatic shutdown after 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours, adding up to a total of 15 programmable hours. Press the timer button to activate it and select the desired option. The indicator will light up.

Can I use the fan without completing the assembly?

No. The manual indicates that it should not be used until the product is fully assembled. Additionally, it must be in an upright position to prevent damage and accidents.

What safety precautions should I take into account?

• This appliance is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.
• Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the product marking and that the wall outlet is grounded.
• Check the power cord regularly for visible damage. If the cord is damaged, it must be repaired by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec to avoid any type of danger.
• Do not immerse the cord, plug, or any non-removable part of the appliance in water or any other liquid, nor expose electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are completely dry before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.

• Both batteries and cells can leak under extreme conditions. In the event of a battery leak, keep your skin and eyes away from the liquid. If the liquid gets into contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and water. If the liquid gets into the eyes, wash them immediately with clean water for a minimum of 10 minutes and seek medical attention. Wear gloves to handle the battery and dispose of it immediately in accordance with local regulations.
• Pay attention to the positive (+) and negative (-) marks on the batteries and the remote-control compartment to ensure they are inserted correctly.

3. PRODUCT ASSEMBLY

The fan is packed disassembled and must be properly assembled following the instructions on this manual to ensure its correct operation.

WARNING

Do not operate the product unless completely assembled. Always operate it in an upright position to avoid injuries and accidents.

1. Use the screws and the fixing plate to assemble the fan support to the base. Pull the height-adjustment bar upward to the desired height, then use the height-adjustment knob to lock it in place.
2. Place the fan body on the support. The fan support must be inserted in the fan body in such way that the whole device is stable. Use the adjustment knob to tightly fix both parts.
3. Install the back grille on the motor shaft and use the back-grille fixing nut to fix it tightly.
4. Place the large blades in their position making sure the grooves at the centre match the ones on the back-grille fixing nut. Then, place the smaller ones next and screw them counterclockwise to fix them securely.
5. Lastly, install the front grille in its position and use the grille clamping ring to hold both grilles together. Fasten the grille so that it is properly attached.

Functions and mode

• All the following functions and modes can be operated from the control panel and from the remote control.
• Press the power button to turn the device on or off.
• Press the speed button to select the fan air speed, from 1 to 6.
• The speed light indicator will light up while this function is in operation.
• Press the mode button to select between 3 operating modes: Normal, Eco, and Sleep. The mode light indicator will light up according to the selected mode.
• Press the oscillation button to activate the oscillation function. The oscillation light indicator will light up while it is in operation.
• Press the timer button to activate or deactivate this function. It can be programmed for 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours than can be added up to programme this function for a total of 15 hours. The display will light up the selected timer option.

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Always turn the device off and unplug it from the power supply before carrying out cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the surface of the device.
