  • This device is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.

Instructions on batteries

2. BEFORE USE

  • This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the appliance when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
  • Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

3. ASSEMBLING THE APPLIANCE

The only tool required to assemble this appliance is a screwdriver.

Assembling the tubes and base

  1. Turn the height-adjustment knob counterclockwise and pull out the tube. Next, turn the height-adjustment knob clockwise to fix the tube.
  2. Insert the tube into the hole in the base.
  3. Press the tube firmly to ensure that it fits correctly into the base.
  4. To completely fix the tube to the base, tighten the nut at the bottom of the base.
  5. Finally, adjust the height-adjustment knob according to your needs.

Assembling the rear grille

  1. Turn the fan-blade fixing cap (2) clockwise to remove it. Turn the fixing nut (4) counterclockwise to remove it. Then, fit the rear grille by aligning it with the motor shaft (6).
  2. Secure the rear grille by screwing it clockwise.

Assembling the blades

  1. Insert the blades into the motor shaft. Make sure that the rear hole of the blades is aligned with the pin on the motor shaft.
  2. Next, place the fixing nut (4) by screwing it into the motor shaft counterclockwise, and place the pin (a) into the corresponding slot (b) (Fig. 3).

  1. Place the grille fastening ring into the front grille. Afterwards, join both pieces to the rear grille.
  2. Check that the front and rear grilles are properly aligned and completely connected by the ring.

NOTE: at the ends of the ring there is a fixing screw. Screw it in firmly with a screwdriver, making sure that it does not come out.

Finally, to finish assembling the pedestal fan correctly, join the top part and the blades with the previously assembled tube. Once both parts are assembled, use the nut located at the rear of the fan to secure both parts firmly. Figure 5 shows the location of the nut.

- To switch the fan on/off and select the desired speed, use the buttons corresponding to the speed (2). The speeds are:

0-Off
1- Low speed
2- Medium speed
3- High speed

- The fan has a timer. To activate it, just turn the knob until selecting the desired time. The maximum non-stop operating time is 120 minutes. After the chosen time has elapsed, the fan will stop completely.

Oscillation function

To make the fan oscillate and thus facilitate air distribution in the room, press the oscillation knob at the top of the motor housing.

To deactivate this function, return it to the initial upward position.

Tilting settings

To adjust the tilt of the fan, unscrew the tilting knob. Move the fan to the desired position and then retighten the knob. Fig. 7

Protection against overheating system

The fan motor has a built-in thermostat. The fuse will automatically switch off when the motor temperature exceeds the limit. In this way, the plastic parts will not be burnt or deformed.

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

The fan requires little maintenance.

If it is damaged or the power cord is damaged, do not attempt to repair it yourself. Contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.

  1. Before cleaning or assembling the fan, make sure that it is disconnected from the mains.
  2. To ensure adequate air circulation to the motor, prevent dust or lint from accumulating in the ventilation grilles, located at the back of the motor housing.

NOTE: do not disassemble the fan to remove lint.

  1. Clean the outside of the fan with a soft damp cloth and some mild soap.

NOTE: do not use abrasive products or solvents. Doing so may scratch the surface of the fan.

  1. Prevent water or any other liquid from entering the motor housing or internal parts.
