  • All safety instructions must be closely followed when using the appliance.
  • This appliance is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.
  • The appliance is not intended to be used by children under the age of 8. The appliance can be used by children over the age of 8, as long as they are given continuous supervision.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, as long as they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

- Do not leave the appliance unattended during operation. Unplug the appliance from the wall socket when you have finished using it, when you leave the room where it is located, when it is not being used, and before cleaning it. Pull from the plug, not the cable, to disconnect it from the outlet.

2. BEFORE USE

  • This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the appliance when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
  • Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.
  • Before using the toaster for the first time, it is important to perform a toasting process without bread. Do so 4 or 5 times. Push the toasting lever down until it latches into place.
  • When the toasting is finished, the toasting lever automatically springs up. The toaster is now ready to be used.

Warning:

A slight odour and smoke might appear when using the appliance for the first time. This is due to manufacturing material residues and does not affect the operation of the appliance.

3. OPERATION

  1. Insert the slice of bread into the slot.
  2. Use the toasting-level knob to select the desired toasting level. There are 6 different levels, from 1 (the lowest toasting level) to 6 (the highest level).

Note

Recommendation: set level 3 (medium toasting) for brown results.

  1. Push the toasting lever down until it latches into place. The Stop light indicator will turn on and the toasting process will start.
  2. You can set the toasting level while the appliance is in operation. The toaster will automatically turn off once toasting time elapses, and the toast will be ready.
  3. To toast frozen bread, waffles, or other pastry, use the Defrost button.
  4. To toast bread that has previously been toasted, insert the bread in the toasting slot and select the desired toasting level. Then, pull the toasting lever and press the Reheat button. The Reheat indicator light will turn on too.
  5. The defrost, toasting and reheat processes can be interrupted at any time by pushing the Stop button.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Disconnect the appliance from the power supply and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the surface of the appliance.
  • Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. The appliance is not dishwasher safe.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to clean the appliance.
  • Slide the crumb tray out of the appliance and empty it.
  • Clean the crumb tray regularly. Use a brush to remove the burnt bread remains.
