• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by unsupervised children.
• Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with flammable propellant in this appliance.
• This appliance is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.
• To avoid food contamination, please follow the below instructions:
• The door openings for a long period of time may cause a significant increase in temperature in the appliance's compartments.
• Clean regularly the surfaces that might be in contact with food and accessible evacuation systems.

Free of Freon

- This refrigerator uses freon-free refrigerant (R600a) and foaming insulation material (cyclopentane), which are environmentally friendly, do not cause damage to the ozone layer, and have a very low impact on global warming. To make the most out of the refrigerator in terms of energy, place all the shelves and drawers in their original position, that is, as shown in Figure 1.

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the appliance when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
• Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

3. PLACE OF INSTALLATION

1. Conditions for proper ventilation

The location you choose for the installation of the refrigerator must be properly ventilated and away from heat sources. Do not place the refrigerator near heat sources, like a cooker hob or pot, and avoid direct sunlight to ensure the cooling effect and save on energy consumption. Do not place the refrigerator in a damp place to avoid rust or loss of power. The result of

dividing he amount of refrigerant load by the total space of the room in which the refrigerator is installed must not be less than 8 g/m^3 .

The amount of refrigerant used by the refrigerator is specified on the appliance marking

2. Heat dissipation space

During operation, the refrigerator releases heat into the environment. Therefore, you should leave at least 30 mm of free space at the top chamber, more than 100 mm on both sides, and more than 50 mm at the rear of the refrigerator.

3. Installation surface

Place the refrigerator on a solid, flat surface to keep it stable, otherwise vibrations and noises will occur. When the refrigerator is placed on a carpet, straw mat, or polyvinyl chloride, solid support plates should be placed under the refrigerator to avoid colour change due to heat dissipation.

It is necessary to maintain unobstructed ventilation around the appliance or in the structure where it is installed.

4. Levelling

Make sure you level your refrigerator with the front levelling feet. If it is not levelled, the door sealing performance of the refrigerator will be affected, or it can even cause a malfunction.

Preparing for use

1. Waiting time

Once the refrigerator is correctly installed and clean, do not turn it on immediately, wait at least 4 hours before connecting it to the power supply to ensure normal operation.

2. Cleaning

Check the placement of the interior accessory parts and clean the inside with a soft cloth.

3. Switch-on

Connect the plug into a power socket to switch on the compressor. After one hour, open the refrigerator door: if the temperature inside the refrigerator compartment has dropped, this means the cooling system is running normally.

4. Food storage

After the refrigerator has been in operation for some time, the user may adjust its internal temperature. Once the refrigerator has reached a suitable interior temperature, put in the food.

If the refrigerator is installed in a wet place, be sure to check if the earth wire and the circuit breaker are working normally. If vibration noises occur due to contact of the refrigerator with the wall or if the wall turns black due to air convection around the compressor, keep the refrigerator further away from the wall. The installation of the refrigerator may cause noise interference or image problems in mobile phones, landline phones, radio receivers, or televisions near the refrigerator, so in this case, keep the refrigerator as far away from these objects as possible.

Changing the door opening direction

1. Make sure the refrigerator is unplugged.
2. Pry off the hole covers and screws, then pry off the top cover and remove the three screws securing the top hinge to the door, then remove the hinge. Fig. 3
3. Remove the refrigerator compartment door.
4. Remove the screws that fix the lower hinge in the right side of the fridge and remove the hinge. Fig. 4
5. Remove the washer and the nut that fix the shaft pin to the right gap of the lower hinge and remove the shaft. Fig. 5
6. Introduce the shaft pin in the lower hinge left hole and fix the shaft with the washer and the nnut. Fig. 6

7. Install the lower hinge on the left side of the fridge.

8. Disassemble the freezer compartment door

8.1. Unscrew the screw securing the lower door shaft bushing and store the removed door, screw and lower and upper shaft bushings. Fig. 7
8.2. Unscrew the screw holding the manual door lock to remove the manual lock. Fig. 8
8.3. Install the manual door lock that has been removed on the right side. Fig. 9
8.4. Install the lower and upper sleeves of the door shaft and the small door on the left side. Fig. 10

1. Remove the screw that holds the door stop on the lower right side of the refrigerator door and remove the door stop from the door. Then install it in the lower left side. Fig. 11

2. Install the door refrigerator.

3. Move the door sleeve from the right top chamber of the refrigerator to the upper left side of the door. And move the left hole lid to the right side. Fig. 12

4. Attach the top hinge to the left top chamber side of the cabinet with the three screws removed earlier. Before tightening the top hinge screws, make sure that the top chamber of the door is flush with the cabinet and that the rubber gasket makes a good seal.

4. OPERATION

• The appliance's temperature can be adjusted turning the thermostat dial. Fig 14
• The thermostat can be adjusted between 1 and 7.
• 1 is the warmest setting
• 7 is the coldest setting
• Set the dial to OFF to deactivate the cooling function.
• In normal functioning conditions (on spring and autumn) it is recommended to set the temperature to level 4.
• In summer, when the ambient temperature is high, it is recommended to set the temperature to level 3-4, to ensure the optimal temperature of the refrigerator compartment and freezer compartment and to reduce their continuous running time; and in winter, when the ambient temperature is low, it is recommended to set the temperature to level 5-6 to avoid frequent start/stop of the refrigerator.

Note:

The thermostat setting of level '6' or '7' is suitable when the room temperature is below 16 °C, but it may cause icing if the refrigerator continues to operate at this setting for a long time at normal ambient temperature, which is a normal phenomenon. In that case, it is recommended to re-set the thermostat correctly.

5. INSTRUCTIONS ON FOOD STORAGE

Use precautions

• The appliance may not operate consistently (there may be some defrosting of the contents or the temperature may become too hot in the freezer compartment) if placed in locations with a temperature outside of the temperature range for which the refrigerator is designed for a long period of time.
• Information on the climatic class of the appliance can be found in the Technical Specifications section and on the product marking.
• The internal temperature may be affected by factors such as the location of the appliance, room temperature, and door opening frequency, etc., and you should take these factors into account if you decide to use any temperature-control devices.

ENGLISH

- Effervescent or carbonated drinks should not be stored in the freezer or the refrigerator. It is not recommended to store liquids in glass containers or soft drink cans in the freezer compartment.

Food location

• Due to the circulation of cold air in the refrigerator, the temperature in each zone is different, so food must be placed in different zones.
• The refrigerator compartment is suitable to store food that does not need to be frozen, cooked food, beer, eggs, some seasonings that need to be kept cold, milk, fruit juice, etc. The crisper drawer is the best place to store fruit and vegetables.
• The freezer compartment is suitable to store ice cream, frozen foods, and foods that need to be kept for a long time.

Shelves

To remove the shelves, first lift them up and then pull them out; to put them back, put them into their position before lowering them. (For the two-section shelf, push the first section towards the rear end and pull the second section out). Keep the rear edge of the shelf facing upwards to prevent food from coming into contact with the wall. When removing and fitting shelves, hold them firmly and handle them carefully to avoid damage.

Crisper drawer

Pull out the crisper drawer to access the food. After using or cleaning the bottom shelf of the refrigerator (the drawer cover), put it back in place so that the internal temperature of the drawer is not affected.

Tips on buying frozen food

• When buying frozen food, pay attention to the storage instructions on the package. You may store each frozen food for the period indicated in the star rating. This is usually the period indicated as "best before" on the front of the package.
• Make sure that the packaging of frozen food is in perfect condition.
• Do not buy frozen foods unless you can freeze them immediately. Special insulated bags are available in most supermarkets and department stores. In them, frozen food is kept cold for a longer period of time.
• Some foods do not require defrosting before cooking. Vegetables and pasta can be added directly to boiling water or steamed. Frozen sauces and soups can be placed in a pan and heated gently until thawed.
• Use quality foods and alter them as little as possible. When food is frozen in small quantities, it takes less time to freeze and thaw.
• Calculate the amount of food to be frozen. When freezing large quantities of fresh food, set the temperature knob to a lower freezing temperature. This way food can be frozen quickly maintaining its freshness.

Food storage

• Clean and dry food completely before storing it in the refrigerator. Before introducing food in the refrigerator, it is advisable to seal it to prevent water evaporation and thus keep fruit and vegetables fresh on the one hand, and to prevent odours on the other.
• Do not put too much or too heavy food in the refrigerator. Leave enough space between the food; if they are too close together, they will block the flow of cold air, which will affect the cooling effect. Do not store too much or too heavy food to prevent the shelves from bending. When storing food, leave a distance from the interior wall; do not place water-rich food too close to the inner wall of the refrigerator to prevent it from freezing on the interior wall.

Food storage by category: you should store food by category, place the food you consume daily at the front of the shelf, so that you can shorten the door opening time and avoid food spoilage due to expiry.

Energy-saving tips

Let hot food cool down to room temperature before putting it in the refrigerator. Place frozen food in the refrigeration compartment to defrost them; you can use the low temperature of the frozen food to cool the fresh food to save energy.

Storing fruits and vegetables

Please note that some types of fresh vegetables and fruits are sensitive to cold and therefore not suitable for storage in the refrigerator crisper drawer or in the freezer compartment.

6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning, disconnect the power plug; do not connect or disconnect the power plug with your hands wet, as there is a risk of electric shock and injury. Do not spill water directly on the refrigerator to avoid rust, electrical leakage and accidents. Do not reach into the bottom of the refrigerator, as you may get scratched by the sharp metal corners.

Cleaning the interior and exterior

• Food residues in the refrigerator can cause undesired odours, so you should clean the refrigerator regularly. The refrigerator compartment should be cleaned once a month.
• Remove all shelves, the crisper drawer, etc., and clean them with a soft cloth or sponge dampened with warm water or neutral detergent.
• Clean the dust that accumulates on the rear panel and side plates of the refrigerator regularly.
• After using neutral detergent, make sure you rinse it with clean water, and then dry it with a cloth.

• Do not use bristle brushes, steel wire brushes, detergent, soap powder, alkaline detergent, benzine, petrol, acid, hot water, or other corrosive elements to clean the freezer surface, door gasket, plastic decorative parts, etc. to avoid damage.
• Carefully dry the door gasket and clean the slot with a wooden stick wrapped with cotton. After cleaning, fix the four corners of the door gasket and then gradually push it into the slot in the door.
• When the unit is not to be used for a long period of time, disconnect it from the mains, empty all food and clean the appliance, leave the door slightly open to avoid unpleasant odours.

Power failure or cooling system fault

• Keep frozen food in case the refrigerator stops working for a prolonged period of time (such as power failure or breakdown of the refrigeration system).
• Try to open the refrigerator door as little as possible, so that you can keep food in good condition for hours, even in summer.

If you receive an early power failure warning:

1. Set the thermostat to the highest setting one hour in advance, so that the food is completely frozen (do not store new food during this time!). Set the temperature back to the original setting when the power supply returns to normal.
2. You can also make ice in an airtight container and place it on the top chamber of the freezer to extend the shelf life of fresh food.

Note:

Once the refrigerator starts to be used, it is best to use it continuously; and under normal circumstances, do not stop using it, so as not to affect the service life.

Replacing the light bulb

The refrigerator has a LED light with low consumption and a long shelf life. In case of any malfunction or anomaly, contact the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec. LED bulbs may only be replaced by qualified personnel.

7. TROUBLESHOOTING

For the following minor malfunctions, please try to solve the problem yourself before contacting Cecotec Technical Support Service.
