Frequently Asked Questions - Piccolina 400 Bronze A01 Eu01 113706 CECOTEC

How to descale my Cecotec Piccolina 400 coffee maker?
Use a mixture of water and white vinegar (1/3 vinegar, 2/3 water) or a descaling product. Run a cycle without coffee, then rinse with two cycles of fresh water. Refer to the manual for more details.
What to do if the coffee drips too slowly?
This may be due to a clogged filter. Clean the permanent filter or replace the paper filter. Also check that the water tank is not calcified.
Can I use coffee other than ground coffee?
This coffee maker is designed for ground coffee. Do not use coffee beans or pods.
The machine does not turn on, what to do?
Check the power outlet and cord. Ensure the carafe is properly positioned (the anti-drip safety may block operation). If the problem persists, contact customer service.
How to clean the glass carafe?
Wash it with warm soapy water or in the dishwasher. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive sponge. Avoid abrasive products.
Does the warming plate stay on after brewing?
The plate keeps the coffee warm for about 40 minutes after brewing, then turns off automatically.
What is the capacity of the coffee maker?
The carafe has a capacity of 1.2 liters, about 10 cups of coffee.
Can the permanent filter go in the dishwasher?
Yes, the permanent filter is dishwasher safe. Place it on the top rack of your dishwasher.
Why does water overflow from the filter?
This can happen if you overfill the reservoir or if the ground coffee is too fine. Use a medium grind and do not exceed the maximum capacity.
Where to find spare parts (carafe, filter)?
You can order spare parts from Cecotec customer service or from specialized online retailers.

  • Once the moka pot has cooled down, unscrew the top chamber, and clean it thoroughly.
