Frequently Asked Questions - Mokclassic 600 CECOTEC

How to use the Mokclassic 600 coffee maker for the first time?
Before first use, wash all removable parts with warm soapy water and rinse them. Fill the reservoir with water up to the indicated level, add ground coffee to the filter, close the carafe, and plug in the appliance. Run it without coffee to clean the circuits.
Which coffee grind to use?
Use a fine grind, suitable for moka coffee makers (espresso type). Avoid overly coarse grinds that would produce very watery coffee.
Should I tamp the coffee in the filter?
No, do not tamp. Simply fill the filter without tamping to allow good water circulation.
How to clean the coffee maker after each use?
Unplug and let it cool. Wash the reservoir, filter, and carafe with warm water and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly. Never immerse the electric base.
How often to descale the coffee maker?
Descale every 2-3 months depending on water hardness. Fill the reservoir with a mixture of half water, half white vinegar and run without coffee. Then rinse with clean water.
What to do if the coffee maker does not turn on?
Check that the appliance is properly plugged in and the switch is in the on position. If the problem persists, check the fuse or contact customer service.
Why is the coffee too weak?
Use a finer grind or increase the amount of coffee. Ensure the filter is not clogged. The ground coffee should be fresh.
How to replace the gasket?
Unscrew the base of the reservoir, remove the old gasket, and install a new one of the same size. Screw back tightly. The gasket ensures a tight seal during brewing.
Can I leave the coffee maker plugged in after use?
No, unplug it after each use. The keep-warm function consumes energy and may damage the appliance if left on too long.
Where to find spare parts for the Mokclassic 600?
Contact Cecotec customer service or visit their official website. Gaskets, filters, and carafes are available separately.
