Frequently Asked Questions - MultiSync GT2000 NEC
How to replace the lamp of the NEC MultiSync GT2000?
Turn off the projector and unplug it. Let it cool for 30 minutes. Open the lamp cover, unscrew the fixing screw, remove the old lamp and insert the new one (ref. NP39LP). Close the cover and reset the lamp counter in the menu.
How often should I clean the air filter?
It is recommended to clean the air filter every 500 hours of use or more often if the environment is dusty. Use a soft vacuum or wash it with warm water and let it dry completely before reinstalling.
How to connect a laptop to the projector?
Use an HDMI or VGA cable to connect your computer to the corresponding port on the projector. If your computer only has a USB-C port, you will need an adapter. Select the appropriate source via the Input menu.
What is the maximum supported resolution?
The native resolution is WUXGA (1920x1200). For 4K signals, the projector downscales them to this resolution. It accepts resolutions up to 4K via HDMI.
How to use the lens shift function?
Use the lens shift dials or buttons on the projector or remote control to move the image vertically and horizontally without moving the device. Make sure the zoom is adjusted first.
The projector displays a 'Change lamp' message. What to do?
This indicates that the lamp has reached its recommended service life. Replace it with a new lamp. If the lamp is still functional, you can reset the counter via the menu Settings > Lamp > Reset, but it is better to replace it.
Can I use the projector wirelessly?
Yes, with an optional wireless adapter (such as the NEC NP05LM2) or via wired network (RJ45) with the MultiPresenter software.
How to adjust keystone correction?
Go to the menu Settings > Geometry > Keystone correction. Use the arrows to adjust vertically and horizontally. For automatic correction, enable 'Auto keystone'.
What image modes are available?
Preset modes include: Presentation, Cinema, sRGB, DICOM SIM (for medical viewing), and User. You can customize the latter.
How to clean the projector lens?
Use a soft, dry cloth, or a slightly damp microfiber cloth. Never use abrasive products or solvents. Avoid touching the lens with your fingers.
