Frequently Asked Questions - Energysilence Aero 7000 Light Pro CECOTEC

How to install the Cecotec Energysilence Aero 7000 Light Pro ceiling fan?
Installation must be carried out by a qualified professional. Use the provided mounting kit for a secure ceiling attachment. Ensure the ceiling can support at least 30 kg. Follow the steps in the manual for electrical connection (phase, neutral, ground).
The remote control does not work, what should I do?
Check that the batteries in the remote are installed correctly and not depleted. Make sure no obstacles block the infrared signal between the remote and the receiver. If the problem persists, reset the device by cutting off power for 10 seconds.
How to reverse the rotation direction of the fan?
Use the reverse button on the remote control or the control box. In summer, the blades rotate counterclockwise to create a cooling breeze. In winter, clockwise rotation helps redistribute heat from the ceiling to the floor.
Is the LED lighting adjustable?
Yes, the integrated 24 W LED lighting allows you to adjust the brightness and color temperature (from 3000K warm white to 6000K cool white) via the remote control. You can also turn the light on/off independently of the fan.
How to maintain the ceiling fan?
Dust the blades and housing regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Never use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Periodically check the ceiling mounting and tighten screws.
The fan makes noise, is this normal?
The DC motor is designed to be silent (35 dB max). If abnormal noise occurs, check that the blades are balanced and properly fastened. A slight clicking may come from the control box; tighten screws if necessary.
Can this fan be used with a sloped ceiling?
Yes, the mounting kit is compatible with sloped ceilings up to 15 degrees. For steeper slopes, an appropriate kit may be required (sold separately).
What is the range of the remote control?
The infrared remote control has a range of about 8 meters in a straight line. Aim the remote at the receiver on the fan housing.
How to set the timer?
Press the 'Timer' button on the remote to select a duration from 1 to 9 hours. The fan will automatically stop at the end of the countdown. The display on the remote confirms the setting.
Is the motor under warranty?
Yes, the motor has a 2-year warranty. Wear parts such as blades and the remote control are warranted for 1 year. Keep your receipt for any claims.

Warning: to avoid electric shock, all electrical operations should only be carried out after disconnecting the power by removing the fuses or turning off the circuit breaker.

WARNING

To avoid personal injury and damage, make sure that the place to hang the blades leaves a clearance of 2.3 metres from the floor and 76 centimetres from any wall or obstacle. Ensure that the hanging bracket is securely fastened to the building structure and can support the full weight of the fan. Do not attach the mounting bracket directly to ceilings with a thickness of less than 10 mm to avoid the risk of the screw loosening, i.e. make sure that the ceiling joists are strong enough and of the right size to support a weight of about 35 kg. In addition, make sure that when drilling the holes, there are no gas pipes, vents, gas, or other wiring that could cause damage.

  1. Mark the correct position where you want to install your fan.
  2. Adjust, mark and drill holes in the mounting bracket Fig. 1. Fix the mounting bracket, as shown in Fig. 14. In the case of a wooden ceiling, carry out as in Fig. 16 and in the case of a concrete ceiling, carry out as in Fig. 17
  3. Before proceeding with the installation of the fan, check the correct installation of the mounting bracket and make sure that it will support the weight of the fan.
  4. Now once mounted, make sure that the electricity is completely disconnected.
  5. Connect the house wiring to the power socket.
  6. Make the neutral input wiring connections (blue wire).
  7. Connect the earth input wiring (yellow and green).
  8. Make the line input wiring connections (black or brown).
  9. Connect the receiver wire to the terminal block according to the shape of the connector.
  10. Choose the downrod length according to your needs.

  10. For light operation ⚡, pressing the button successively will turn the light on and off. It will also change the temperature of the light in a cyclical manner.

NOTE

- If you notice that the transmitter does not control the receiver, check that the batteries are inserted correctly and that they are not dead.

  • This may also be due to the proximity of similar products that also operate with a remote control, which, if they use the same frequency, could cause interference.
  • If the batteries in the remote control are dead, replace them so that you can continue to use it normally.
  • Remove the batteries from the remote control if you are not going to use it for a long period of time.
  • When positioning the fan, make sure that no wires are pinched. If this happens, a short-circuit may occur.

Recommendations

  • If your fan runs automatically when you switch it on for the first time after installation, it has memorised the previous factory setting.
  • If the fan or light does not work, reset the fan. To do this, turn it off for at least 5 seconds and then turn it on again.
  • When the fan is switched on and starts running in either direction (clockwise or counterclockwise), it will stop and change direction several times. This is normal. The fan will take some time to perform the selected function and to start up regularly.

Reconnect the mains supply from the electrical switchboard in the house.

Remove the battery-compartment cover of the remote control, insert the batteries, and replace the cover.

Note

  • The remote control is powered by two AAA 1.5 V batteries.
  • The remote control operates within a maximum range of 6 metres from the transmitter to the receiver.
  • If the fan is not to be used for a long period of time, store the remote control in a dry place where it will not be exposed to heat or direct sunlight. Also remove the battery.

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Clean the fan regularly.
  • When cleaning, only use a soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the finish.
  • Abrasive cleaning agents are not necessary and should be avoided in order not to damage the finish.

RECOMMENDATION

Periodically check that the blades are securely fastened to the motor with the screws.

WARNING: do not use solvents to clean the fan. Doing so may result in a risk of electric shock.

ENGLISH

  • Make sure to disconnect the fan before cleaning it.
  • Do not immerse any of the parts of the appliance in water or splash them with any other liquid.
  • Do not use solvents or any other chemical products for cleaning.
  • Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the surface of the device.
