Frequently Asked Questions - Energysilence Aero 5200 Light M CECOTEC

How to install the Energysilence Aero 5200 Light M ceiling fan?
Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician. First fix the bracket to the ceiling using the screws provided, then connect the electrical wires (phase, neutral, ground) according to the diagram in the manual. Then mount the motor, blades and LED bulb. Use the remote control for commissioning.
How to clean the fan blades?
Turn off the fan and wait for it to stop completely. Use a slightly damp soft cloth to remove dust. Never use chemical or abrasive products that could damage the blade surface.
What to do if the remote control does not work?
First check the batteries of the remote control (two AAA batteries). Ensure the receiver is properly connected and no obstacle blocks the signal. If the problem persists, reset the fan by turning off the power for 10 seconds.
How to change the LED bulb of the fan?
Turn off the fan and cut the power at the circuit breaker. Unscrew the bulb cover, remove the old LED bulb and replace it with a compatible bulb (type E27, 18 W max). Screw the cover back on and restore power.
How to use the reverse function for winter?
Press the 'Reverse' button on the remote control to reverse the rotation direction. In winter, the fan should rotate clockwise (view from below) to push warm air down. In summer, counterclockwise creates a cooling breeze.
My fan is making an abnormal noise, what to do?
Check that all screws of the blades and bracket are tight. Ensure the blades are not unbalanced (a balancing kit is provided). If the noise persists, the motor may be defective; contact Cecotec after-sales service.
Can the color temperature of the lighting be adjusted?
Yes, the remote control allows switching between three temperatures: warm white (3000K), neutral white (4500K) and cool white (6000K). Press the 'Color' button to change.
What is the minimum ceiling height required?
The fan must be installed at least 2.5 meters from the floor and 30 cm from the ceiling. Ensure the blades do not obstruct any obstacles (furniture, walls).
How to set the timer?
On the remote control, press the 'Timer' button to choose a duration of 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours. The fan will automatically stop at the end of the countdown. A beep confirms the programming.
Where to find spare parts for this model?
Spare parts (blades, remote control, bulb, mounting kit) are available on the official Cecotec website (www.cecotec.fr) or from authorized dealers. Use the reference 'Energysilence Aero 5200 Light M' for the search.

  2. Insert the batteries into the battery compartment observing the polarity.
  3. Close the compartment.

Note:

If the fan is not to be used for a long period of time, store the remote control in a dry place where it will not be exposed to heat or direct sunlight. Also remove the batteries.

To operate the remote control, reconnect the mains power supply from the electrical switchboard in the house.

  1. Press the power button for 5 seconds and then you will hear a beep, which means that the pairing has been completed successfully and you can use the remote control normally.

ENGLISH

NOTE: be sure to press the power button for 30 seconds before pairing the remote control, otherwise you will not be able to pair it.

  1. If you notice that the transmitter does not control the receiver, check that the batteries are inserted correctly and that they are not dead.
  2. This may also be due to the proximity of similar products that also operate with a remote control, which, if they use the same frequency, could cause interference.
  3. If the batteries in the remote control are dead, replace them so that you can continue to use it normally.
  4. Remove the batteries from the remote control if you are not going to use it for a long period of time.
  5. Make sure that the earth wire is properly connected.
  6. When positioning the fan, make sure that no wires are pinched. If this happens, a short-circuit may occur.

Reminder

  • The receiver must be correctly installed in the fan mounting bracket.
  • Remove the batteries from the remote control if you are not going to use it for a long period of time.
  • The isolation switch must be switched on.
  • If the power is cut off (e.g. due to a blackout) the light will go out. When the power is restored, the light will switch on again.

Receiver protection functions

  • The DC motor has a built-in safety feature against blade or motor obstruction during operation.
  • During operation: if an object obstructs the fan blades or the fan motor, the motor will attempt to run for 30 seconds and then stop running. Remove obstructions and restart the motor. To restart it: switch the fan off from the remote control and then switch it on again.
  • The device will limit the maximum current output from the receiver/drive if the fan load has increased abnormally.

Recommendations

  • If your fan runs automatically when you switch it on for the first time after installation, it has memorised the previous factory setting.
  • If the fan or light does not work, reset the fan. To do this, turn it off for at least 5 seconds and then turn it on again.
  • It is not possible to control more than one fan in the same room if they share the same power supply. If you want to separately control more than one fan in the same room, you must use separate power supplies.
