Frequently Asked Questions - GV65260AU GORENJE

How do I install the Gorenje GV65260AU dishwasher?
Ensure the installation location is level and has a power outlet (220-240 V). Connect water supply hose to a cold water tap with 3/4 inch thread and drain hose to a sink trap or standpipe. Level the appliance by adjusting the feet. For detailed steps, refer to the installation guide in the manual.
What detergents can I use?
Use only dishwasher detergents (powder, gel, tablets) designed for automatic dishwashers. Avoid using hand dishwashing liquid as it may cause excessive foaming. For best results, use a detergent with rinse aid and salt if you live in a hard water area.
How do I clean the filter?
Turn off the dishwasher. Remove the lower rack to access the filter assembly. Twist the coarse filter counterclockwise and lift it out. Rinse both filters under running water. Reassemble and secure by twisting clockwise. Clean the filter monthly to maintain performance.
What should I do if the dishwasher won't start?
Check that the door is fully closed and latched. Ensure the power cord is plugged in and the circuit breaker is on. Verify that the water supply valve is open. If the problem persists, try a power cycle: unplug for 5 minutes and plug back in.
How do I interpret the error codes?
Error codes are displayed as flashing lights or numbers. Common codes: E1 indicates water inlet issue, E2 drainage problem, E4 overheating. Refer to the troubleshooting section of your manual for specific code meanings and solutions.
Is the GV65260AU energy efficient?
Yes, it has an A+++ energy rating, consuming approximately 260 kWh per year and 9.5 liters of water per cycle. This makes it one of the most efficient models in its class, saving both energy and water.
Can I open the door during a cycle?
Yes, you can open the door to add or remove items, but be cautious of hot steam. The dishwasher will pause automatically when the door is opened. Close the door firmly to resume the cycle. Frequent openings may affect drying performance.
How do I adjust the rinse aid setting?
Open the rinse aid dispenser cap (usually on the door). The setting dial can be adjusted with a coin. Set to a higher number (4-6) for hard water or lower (1-3) for soft water. Proper rinse aid adjustment prevents water spots and improves drying.
What is the noise level of this dishwasher?
The noise level is 46 dB, which is very quiet. This allows you to run the dishwasher at night without disturbance. Ensure the appliance is properly leveled to minimize vibrations.
Where can I find spare parts?
Spare parts such as racks, filters, and spray arms are available through Gorenje authorized service centers and online retailers. Use the model number GV65260AU when ordering. For repairs, it's recommended to contact a certified technician.

Connection to water supply

Use only the inlet hose supplied with the dishwasher. Do not re-use old or other spare hoses.

The supply pipe must be fitted with a water tap (stopcock). The water tap must be easily accessible, so that the water can be shut off if the dishwasher has to be moved.

Once the installation is complete, turn on the water tap and allow the pressure to settle for a while. Check that all connections are watertight.

Connection to cold water supply

Connect the dishwasher to the cold water supply if the building is heated using oil, electricity or gas.

Connection to hot water supply

Connect the dishwasher to the hot water supply (max. 70°C) if the building is heated using an energy-efficient means such as district heating, solar power or geothermal power. Choosing a hot water connection cuts dishwashing times and reduces the dishwasher's energy consumption.

NOTE!

Do not exceed the permitted water supply temperature. Certain materials used in some cookware cannot withstand strong heat. See Fragile dishes in the chapter Loading the dishwasher.

NOTE!

Connecting a dishwasher to the water supply via certain types of pressure limiting valves may restrict the water supply!

This may cause F12 error code/ Water inlet fault to be displayed.

Electrical connection

Information about the electrical connection can be found on the compliance plate. This specification must match the electricity supply.

The dishwasher must be connected to an earthed wall socket.

The electric wall socket must be placed outside of the installation area to be easily accessible after installing the dish-washer. Do not use an extension cord!
